one small change to slow start would make it not good but potentialy have some use. if changing it so it wouldent reset on switching out it might have some potential. but needing to stall 4 or 5 turns for it to go away and it reseting every time its switched out? that is realy bad. tbf i enjoy using regigias when i make one of those team with either PU mons or not viable for competitive use but it can defenitly be a pain to get it going but when getting it going (so many morons in low uber/ag lader) its quite fun to use :)
The fact that a Rock type managed to stay above PU is a feat in itself.
Let’s not forget how important Tyrantrum was to the pre-tutor and pre-transfer metas in the generations it appeared in because it learned stealth rock via level up and was crucial for breeding stealth rock onto Pokémon like Aggron and Tyranitar. Even if Tyrantrum itself was not in OU, it fathered many Pokémon on OU teams.

Although their exact top speed is still debated, Tyrannosaurus rexes were most likely not SUPER fast due to their massive weight and mass and they were most likely ambush hunters, so Tyrantrum not being very fast makes sense, unfortunately. If Tyrantrum appears in one of Gen 9’s future DLCs, it will most likely run one the 3 following Tera-types: 1. Tera-rock to power up its Head Smash even more. 2. You know, I remember the first few "How good" videos were mostly focused on OU and kinda dunking those who weren't in it, but I love how in depth you progessively got with these videos and even hype these mons have in the lower tiers. The Gen 7 segment made me really appreciate how in depth you research these mons because hearing Tyrantrum being a great anchor who kept it's team pace up just felt cathartic and filled me with joy, even if it isn't OU. It makes me both want to play with these mons and appreciate the tiering system because it gives these mons a life and duty of their own that they couldn't have without it :D
Was pretty cool seeing the first Rock/Dragon type and it had Rock Head + Head Smash but it wasn’t very fast and had middling special bulk (Hisuian Arcanine can do this better due to higher speed).
