Probably biased- but I think this was one of the best seasons in a long time. Teams like inter Milan, Lille, atletico and sporting club winning their titles and a team like Chelsea (which I obviously support) surprisingly winning the champions league... not to mention the ups and downs for Liverpool and man city, Aston villa 7-2 liverpool, Alisson’s headed winner, west ham doing so well, etc. wouldn’t have predicted any of this at the start of the year, so it gets a 9 out of 10 from me :)

League seasons were great but champions was absolutely dull and trash
The transitions to the other leagues were so smooth
Remember at the early stages of the prem where everything was unpredictable

Aguero finished his last game in the prem by getting subbed in with 30 mins to go scoring two goals, breaking Wayne rooney's record in front of home fans, just like he made his debut game. He was subbed in his first game, 30 mins to go and scored two. What an ending. What a Legend 💙

@@FootballIconic I think so, they recruit young players that fail to secure professional contracts elsewhere and players who are under valued. Based on their sales, they could be one of best and successful examples of moneyball in soccer. All the while, building and self funding a new stadium and remaining very competitive in the championship.
Man I remember watching juventus alot back then. I remember staying awake late bcz it was lockdown back then. Nostalgia hit hard. Crazy how time flies…❤😢

This was a great season, the title races in other leagues were the best by far compared to the last couple seasons and the top 4 premier league race was exciting. As a city fan however, even if we won the league title it was very very disappointing 😅

Thanks! I didn't want the video to run too long, so just tried to focus on the top 5 leagues for this video. but definitely plan on looking into smaller leagues in the future!

Definitely look at Villareal. Smaller club who just won the Europa League beating Man United and Arsenal. Besting Arsenal with their old manager while at it. Props to Villareal and Emery.
Not one mention of West Ham having their best ever season and finishing above both Arsenal and Spurs who received their own segment 🙄

Sorry if I made it sound like that. Thst was not my intention. I was mostly just pointing out what I thought to be the biggest question mark in City's setup. There were other things such as their pressing plan and marking strategy, but above all else, Chelsea outplayed them. As you say they've done it multiple times too. Each time, Pep's tried something different and none have worked. Full credit to Tuchel of course.
