The man went pro at age 33, if he had started learning in his early 20's then he would've been an expert at 33.
Kiiyon Kimura, Kimbo did all of this while having Heart Disease!!! That is worth mentioning!
U describe the fights so professionally so it’s funny to hear something like “kimbo went for a desperate takedown which took both men into the tool shed” 😂
He was the scariest looking nicest guy ever too. RIP Kimbo!
so you're telling me kimbo knocked that last dude out, that guy then had a heart attack and died. then shortly after, kimbo had a heart attack and died. that's crazy.
Kimbo probably “peaked” as a fighter long before he became famous in 2008.
He was a street fighter. He fought in short lived, bare knuckle matches, often against other big guys, neither of whom were really well trained. He was very strong but had very little cardio. I don't think he began to really train for that until later in life, at which point he was already well behind most other professional fighters. His strength and size carried him sometimes though.
I met Kimbo and he was such a nice man...very polite and humble. RIP Kimbo!
Kimbo would have been the Undisputed king of bare-knuckle fighting. For him to have gotten that late of a start in the MMA Sports and boxing he did pretty good. He had a solid career, and only his stamina and age held him back.
I love how he is talking about these fighter's names so seriously. Afro Puff and Big Mac...what
I feel like he would have accomplished more as a boxer rather then a MMA fighter

Mans was fighting for his life.. that’s the true definition of a fighter.
I met him three times in Miami Florida I trained his son and two of his Entourage very nice guy very down to earth it said that he's gone
I remember watching him on the ultimate fighter. The dude looked like a badass but he really came across as humble and wanting to learn and get better...as a guy willing to work from the bottom up in order to get his shot. I know people didn't like him getting a shot in the UFC after losing on the ultimate fighter but he was a big draw and made money for the promotion. Unfortunately, I think he started to late in MMA and didn't have the martial arts part of the skillset to fight at the UFC level. Nonetheless, he was willing to make the effort.
"Had him in a guillotine choke, but Kimbo managed to escape with the help of his corner men"
He exceeded ALL my expectations in the professional circuit. May he rest in peace.
I love the pro level assessment of the street fights. Lol
Coming from someone who trains. He was a streetfighter. Basically a B or C class MMA fighter. With that being said, I have mad respect for him and what he did with his life after incarceration. RIP.
Literally a delight to watch this video, Kiiyon. Your earnest commentary for the fight with The Bouncer at
