Drew Brees is the most accomplished quarterback we’ve ever seen. He was credited for his longevity for playing in the NFL for 20 seasons with the Chargers and Saints. His best years have to be when he was a member of the New Orleans Saints. He finished his career with 80,358 yards and 571 touchdowns with 752 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns. He is known for his passing ability, so he wasn’t no mobile quarterback. He stood 6 foot, 209 pounds as a pocket passer.

I don’t ever listen to anybody that tries saying a QB is too short to succeed because of how Drew Brees did it. Now we’re seeing more and more teams going for these shorter QBs because of the success Brees had in his career. Russell Wilson is well accomplished and while the verdict is still out on Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, they still have potential to be great as well.

He's one of the unluckiest quarterbacks of all time-TubFrog has a great video on that. Not only were his chances of ever winning anything (both championships and MVPs) severely diminished right off the bat by playing at the same time as Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning, and Aaron Rodgers, but he often had to carry his team due to the lack of talent around him, and even when he would make the playoffs, he and the Saints frequently got jobbed (perhaps as punishment for the scandal surrounding the only Lombardi he _did_ win). He put up insane stats anyway, including having the passing yards record for two years before it was broken by a single yard and completing an astonishing 96.7% of his passes in a game. Easily my favorite player as a kid and a large part of why I became a fan of the Saints.

Good presentation, but. Brees was 9 - 9 in playoff appearances for how many years,? Brady was 35 - 12. There is a HUUGE difference between someone who can just pass a ball in distance extremely well, but then blow it in completions in 3rd & 4th downs. ESPECIALY in the playoffs Brady was able to make those completions in the red zone, 3rd & 4th downs. Thats why he was 35 - 12 in playoff appearances, vs drew's 9 - 9. Rest unsaid. Its a good presentation, but drew was NOT a playoff contender or superbowl appearance repeat. In a way, you have see the longevity of what makes a player good in that respect, brady had that. @@JustFootball have to agree. So why could they not defend brees in the good years thru the playoffs.. 9 wins - 9 losses, that's a lot of years to only make it to the Superbowl one time. Agree on defense, but drew blew alot of playoff appearance with the interceptions that he's thrown, the last game he played which was wild card in the dome vs brady, defense was even on both sides, but drew again threw too many interceptions which cost the game, & that was the last one he ever played professionaly. Well, to the future. The youth need to see change happen, my opinion just recruit locally, one day another bobby aber will appear and that will be the best thing ever. How i feel about brees is another thing entirely. Don't care for him like everyone else. 🥲😂 The saints will have a winner one day, and that will be a sight to see thankfully, 👍

@@thomasisinspacethomasisins8471Even the rare times Drew Brees had really solid defenses he still blew it, same with Aaron Rodgers although I would put Brees over Rodgers on the all-time ranks. Tom Brady still was more than good enough to carry a team if his defense was struggling so even if he had more years without a defense even ranked in the top of the league, I bet he still would’ve found a way to get it done because of how good he was and how capable he was with taking over games. I’m not saying Brees couldn’t do the same but I definitely agree with you that he would’ve found a way to screw it up more times than not.
