The answer to why don't you buy it is multifaceted. First the poster wouldn't have anything to post about, then they wouldn't have anything to watch, then Matt wouldn't have the YT money to buy the new stuff, so he would HAVE to fix the old stuff. Then the poster could post about it and everyone's happy again.

Best reason ever for not buying new: "I enjoy designing and working on things." Your time is money, and video is your source of income. Besides, most of us find it inspiring to watch your out of the box thinking as you solve different problems. I do have a question for Tom. It's very cool seeing how you end up optimizing by breaking every part and replacing, extending the use time then waiting for the next thing that breaks. Really the example of tried and true!
Matt, my experience has been the most serious injuries of over 100 journeyman workers in the different trades I worked with over the years were those in their 40s and 50s who became cavalier with safety. I myself almost became one of them if it wasn't for a vigilant coworker and there is no question I would be dead or severely disabled. I don't want to see you joining that group, but based on your videos, I wouldn't be surprised to see you in a eye patch or with a serious hand injury in the next couple of years. A 58 year old lead carpenter just lost all 4 fingers on his dominant hand last week at my brothers job so it is on my radar. Sorry to be a downer but I really like you and your videos and hope to see many many more in the future with you fully functional. Touch your safety sign every morning and embrace it! As Joe Walsh has sung so many times "Life's been good so far......"
Definitely do a maintenance overhaul on the snow cat
“That’s gonna save a lotta rabbits.” 😂 The editing on this channel is genius. YT gives higher ranking to videos watched in their entirety, so that’s why they always give us a laugh out loud moment at the very end. Brilliant! 👍

As your fans we found your channel in some way or the other and have hung around for some reason. That is a good thing for any youtuber to have. Because as long as you have people watching, commenting and/or liking/disliking the videos, it gets pushed higher up the suggestions list. Do whatever you feel like doing. What you do is your choice. I love your answers, but there's another! You build this stuff as a KZread content provider - Putting in a new axle is what others do. You built a business doing this stuff! Of course, that's what you will do!
You just showed me why we don't need a bunch of new stuff. I love watching y'all put it together and make it work like it should.
with the snow cat my only thought was "he wants to replace everything except the frame and the tracks!" engine to small, cab to small, tires some proprietary things you probably want to move away from, steering not what you want... it's amazing that even with all that it still was able to work mostly well! and i'm here for the overhaul! I def agree that it's much more fun to kludge something together that works and doesn't owe anything to anyone except you! the fact you guys can use old iron for your cabs just gives you such a cool look about your stuff.
I've got an old six cylinder Jeep that I'm getting ready to work on and I love hearing that "six cylinder music" coming through the exhaust, I've long enjoyed straight sixes, just so clean and even. The banana really looks and sounds great strolling through.

If your not sure what your next project is, your more than welcome to install that exhaust and lockers on my XJ.🤣😂 Amazed at how well your vehicles handle the terrain. Really enjoyed the clip of Ed and Lizzy fixing the saw. Really glad to see Ed out and about without the neck brace.
Insane how easy the Banana just makes obstacles bow before it. I agree, it definitely instills dangerous confidence and would get any amateur into some deep trouble.
In the 80's, I put together a 62 Corvair from 3 cars. After the cheap turbo muffler was a short, straight pipe. It was too loud. Took off the straight and put on a 90-degree elbow. The 90 put enough back pressure to quiet the exhaust but still have a sporty sound.
I am very impressed, you chose to rewire the chop saw and not spice the cord, Go Team MORR!
Hi Matt, I would love to see a comparison of the Banana's capabilities from 3 or 4 years ago compared to now. Perhaps even redo some of the "sketchy" or failed obstacles from back then.
It's awesome that when something goes wrong, nobody is angry. It's a learning experience and that's awesome!
I like that you build your own stuff and reuse parts instead of putting more parts in the landfill.
Matt, yellow mustard has its place as a binder for rubs when your smoking ribs. I always lather up the baby backs in yellow mustard before applying the rub of choice.
Good to see Ed looking well and sharp as a tack in his guayabera shirt. Also good to see Lizzy back more frequently. Had been missing her. That Banana is one mean crawling machine now.The way it effortlesly cruises up those rocks makes it look like it's being winched. Outstanding!
