Just got mine yesterday. As soon as I saw it on display I wanted it it. My wife walk up to me and saw it in my wrist and said I will buy it for you. Looks and feels perfect on my wrist

I have one. My 1st Bulova, I typically buy Seiko. I wasn’t hesitant because it was not an automatic however I like the history behind it with regards being a moon watch. I got the all black and I rock it with the steel band, it’s my daily for now, but I have other timepieces as well.

I picked this up in this color a few weeks ago and wear it every day I'm not on my Harley when it's my g-shock. I nominate this color and watch for watch of the year. It is just perfect. The dial is more cream than white and the blue is dark almost to the level of black. It's a strap monster and I love it on my brown cowhide strap.

Superlative production and presentation. I have the wrist to pull off my 45mm, the 43.5mm size is pretty much perfect. That said, I much prefer the bead-blasted case of the 45mm and its non-polished bracelet. Like everybody else, I like the retro "Bulova" name on the dial. I've had my Bulova Lunar Pilot since 2016, bought in mint condition on ebay for $285. I've changed the battery twice with heavy chronograph use. The price they are asking for the 43.5 mm is too high. I'm also not a fan of the blue'd pushers on the panda. My 45mm has been my daily since I've bought it and I do knock it around. It's always worked perfectly. I also have a Speedy from 1971, bought used in 1988 for $375. I've spent $1,600 maintaining that through the years and only where it occasionally.

I’ve had my 45mm version for over a year. I wear mine daily at my manual labor job, hiking, hunting, working on my yard. It literally still looks new and only had to adjust the time for daylight savings. It’s ridiculously accurate & tough watch

I think if someone really loves this watch & wants to get one should consider getting the gen 1 version. They can be found for under $400 new. Yeah its “slightly” bigger but I just don’t see how $895 translates into the best bang for your dollar over a 1.5mm difference

I've got the 1st gen. date version, and I've found it my most accurate, "non-assisted" watch, next to my "assisted" atomic pieces. I only have to set it twice a year for DST, and in one year, it's only gained 1/2 second.

I have 2 Lunar Pilots and 2 Speedmasters, I say that to say that I like the 4 equally. I like some things about the L.P. Better actually 👍

Here in Italy it' 579€ and I've seen it discounted at 463... At those prices it'hard not to pull the trigger!

I got it in a store recently. Amazing watch, I have just a question mine came with a box with a single spot for the steel bracelet and didn’t come with the leather blue strap or other stuff like that. Is something normal or did i miss something? My only answer could be that maybe this whole package with the two bracelets and depliant came during the first times of the watch being shipped, but as the months went by they stopped it so maybe the watch I got is a more recent version rather than the other ones which came a year ago. Would love to hear your opinion

I’m not sure actually but I will look into if the newest offerings are offered with bracelet or band only. They did eventually change the second version from bracelet and strap to just strap so similar may be being done here with this newest model. As I said though, I’ll have to look into it as at the moment I have no idea.

@@WristwatchAddiction by the way , I wrote to the bulova online assistance for Italy and they explained me that the US version of the watch comes with the double strap while the Italian one has just the stainless steel one. 👍

This is a special Quartz movement though - 3 prong instead of two prong means it has rotational oscillation of the tuning fork so its accuracy is much less affected thermally; also Bulova engineers designed an active cooling circuit for active thermal control. That translates to probably the most accurate movement available on sale. You dont like Quartz because you are relatively aware of the inner workings of a mechanical movement. I prefer auto and mechanical, but I also know that if you studied how Quartz works, I guarantee you will start to like that too. Quartz deals with principles of nature as much as mechanical movements do, if not more - mechanical, electrical, thermal.

@@mil4003 i think you would be fine. Ive been wearing 2 45mm’s for the last 2 years on my 6.75. Check out my other videos on the original 45s to see how that fit on my wrist. The new 43s should fit like that on yours which i think will look just fine 👍

The original watch worn on the moon was not polished. It was bead blasted like the 45mm version.

Believe it, or not, I am not a major fan. First of all, the panda face is far from the Lunar Pilot! The current Bulova is itself just a homage, even if it's in house, so why spend 400 to 700 DOLLARS and get kinda like a make-believe, if I can get another make-believe for 1/5th or less of that? AND Bulova back-pedalled on those 10secs/year, because it has NO thermal compensation, so a good NORMAL quartz can be just as good as that 262KHz Bulova. I have one of those strays that is getting about 15 secs/year with a 2 dollar el-cheapo quartz calibre, because sometimes you just get lucky with them, and that Bulova could be off by a lot more! This thing rings my alarm bells for SNAKE OIL! So, what else is there? Well, it's like everybody thinks that Pagani finally made an original, but have you even looked at the Pagani PD-1782 ???? It's like Pagani's engineers said "we can do this one, and nobody is gonna notice!" Eh, so the pushers are wee bit different, and the dial (for NOW at least) only comes in a "panda" pattern, like it got into a fight and got 2 eyes colourised instead of being all black-face, know what I mean, but EVERYTHING else just screams "LOOK at ME! I'm that OTHER moon watch not-by-Omega homage!" YEAH! OH YEAH, and THIS one has guess what? It has a thirty-nine millimetre case, so this is like NO problem on anybody's wrist!!!!! On sale at AliExpress for way under 80 dollars all the time!

Don`t like it, Where is the date function, as on the previous versions?

The date function was Removed, “Bulova” dial printing, & the size decreased to all match the original 1 off design used by astronaut Dave Scott in 1971.

and new one is three times more expensive than the previous model.... this must be some kind of joke
