How Good Is It? Losi Tenacity DB Pro at the RaceTrack!

This is exactly why I bought this buggy. I wanted something I could bash with, and something I could race with - and boy does this deliver!
I wasn't sure exactly how this DB Pro would do - but knowing it was based on the TEN-SCTE platform, I had hopes it would do well.
Next steps: body mounts, bumpers, and a body to officially convert it over to a SCT for racing....or just run it exactly as it is in the novice class....one or the other.

Follow-up! First race in SCT class yielded 4th out of 8/9! They let me run the buggy body, lights and all!

What a nice surprise. Quicker than the sledge, I know very different cars, but considering they are both heavy that’s quite a time. Nice, looks like it was a bunch of fun!

The hot tire at our track at the time was a Pro-line Holeshot, so used those.

I'm late to the party, but ordering me one next week 7/27/22, so excited. Will be a 3S dream, and eventually a 4S RC for me. Think RC Farm will let me play with it thier at 4S build? They like 3 hour drive for me...Lafayette TN

RC Farm isn't as much about the play. They have some practice sessions, but if you bring it and want to run 4S, you should try to convert it to a 1/8 buggy layout - which fortunately is not hard. In this video, I am running 2S - which is the standard for 4WD short course truck. That is basically what this buggy is underneath the cage.

@@RoadsideRC i just last week upgraded the servo to Savox 1210E, and put in a 4S Motor / ESC (Mojave)(Jennysrc). I could always drop a 2S battery in if they would allow that. Currently me and sons play at local baseball field, simple, but man we have a great time.

Very late comment so maybe you won't see this. I am running this car, basically stock, at a 10th scale, 2s battery clay track. It seems like I am not getting the power to clear the jumps like most other cars there. Any ideas on what might be causing this problem? Seems like most people don't have a power issue so struggling to find a resource. Could it be that I am not running a Smart Battery? Or maybe it's a gearing issue? Or maybe just need a higher performance motor?

Or could it be just the shear weight of the machine?

Interesting! Do you have any videos of you driving it on track on your channel? That would help a lot. Yes - this car is heavier and underpowered compared to race-specific vehicles, so that is a factor. BUT - I find most of the time power and weight are not the issue. It is momentum. Do you have the right line coming out of the previous corner? Are you on the power early enough? I have personally found that additional acceleration power is usually just trouble.
