    The only thing i hate is that you can only do a subscription plan. Call me crazy, but I'd much rather just pay the $200+ price to own it forever rather than do a dumb subscription fee. I am still an amateur artist so I'm not making commissions, so it's not really worth the investment for me, but i hope they will eventually merge the program license instead of ripping us off. However, that's likely not going to happen because corporate greed... Also, I know this is weird, but you have a very soothing voice.

    It might be corporate greed but idk why they'd do it when their desktop versions are one time payments. I think this is more of anti piracy. On android its really, really easy to crack and app and upload it as a free version online as an APK. Most paid apps are cracked like this. But I still think $25 a year is absurd for a mobile version

    Just splurged on the Tab S7+ during Black Friday sales, definitely wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for Clip Studio Paint. I am very pleased with my purchase. Background info, I class myself as a keen hobbyist and have been using an ageing Cintiq 13HD. CSP is definitely just a port of the desktop version, I've been using it since its inception and I feel right at home. After spending about 1-2 hours optimising the workspace, shortcuts and commands, getting a drawing lightbox stand, overall, it is as efficient as my Cintiq. The lack of buttons was offset by the fact that I can select stuff with my spare left hand. By disabling the usage of tools with finger, where you can't finger paint with your fingers, the palm rejection issue isn't much of an issue. Your canvas might twitch if it detects your palm as pinch/rotate, but hardly the worst thing to happen. The drawing experience with Tab S7+ and CSP is excellent, better than a last gen Cintiq & not-new-computer combo. The only issue I ran into was that free transformation is very slow, I've used CSP on 3 different computers and it's never this slow. One tip. If you open CSP in Samsung Dex mode (basically their desktop mode), the icons will be smaller and give you more drawing space. The icons are still big enough for my small hands to click on.

  • @teohyc

    @teohyc

    Yeah, for some reason free transform is so slow. When you use SamsungDex, are you using with external monitor? Eg looking at monitor while drawing on table?

  • @segawalilac

    @segawalilac

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@teohyc In DeX mode, I just draw directly on the tablet. Haven't tried an external monitor, I don't have the correct cable. The Tab S7+ is only marginally smaller than a 13 inch cintiq, so to me it's still a good size. I spent a whole weekend sketching my fan comic, it feels just fine.

    The way I change brush size on the iPad version is to go to modifier key settings. As a standard, the change brush size is set to CMD-ALT, and with these keys pressed you can drag the pen left or right to seamlessly change the brush size. As I find pressing 2 shortcut buttons on the side keyboard rather difficult (because of the lack of haptic feedback) I changed it to the space bar (which is normally set to pan, but as I use the finger gestures to pan, this is not neccesary). I find this is the quickest way. I am not 100% sure it will work as well on the Galaxy, but perhaps you could check?

    I bought the note 20 ultra yesterday and I immediately tried CSP for the 1st time. The menus do need some get used to, but as of now, I think it is very complete and enjoyable to use (I love the s-pen). I can't wait to put my hands on a S7+ with CSP as the experience can only be better on a 12.4 screen. For references, I'm a graphic designer using photoshop and illustrator on a daily basis on my Acer laptop/xpen artist 15.6 pro combo (which more than likely might become obsolete in my house after a get the s7+) I hope that could help in some way... Hi there. I am studying graphic designing. Do you think S7+ can run photoshop? Well, is there a photoshop program for S7+? Is CSP as good as photoshop or illustrator? I am in the process of making a decision. Thanks

  • @nathaniel972ful

    @nathaniel972ful

    @@hussainluaibi1481 hello. I'm not aware of an android version of photoshop at this moment, but if there is one, there's no doubt that the S7+ would be able to run it perfectly... From a purely artistic point of view, I think CSP is a better option than Photoshop. It is a very resourceful, very complete program for artists. It is heavily used by animation/character design/comic book/artwork professionals... You can't go wrong with CSP (formerly known as Manga Studio). Now, As a graphic designer, i think you should have Photoshop and Illustrator anyway as they are in my opinion the very best in their respective categories. Photoshop for extensive work on your photos and illustrator to work with vectors. They are all wonderful tools that you need to have in your possession no matter what. Graphic designing is a vast world. What is your specialty? Artwork? cartoons? logos?

Samsung Dex, File explorer, download files properly to where you want, copy text easily where iPad can't. I currently own an Innovator 16 for animating but i'd also like to design characters & backgrounds whilst lounging around & potentially at another house. I just can't decide If I should invest in tablet or a laptop of similar value to use with my display. After watching many of your reviews I don't think I can go wrong either way but i'm still not 100% confident deciding & would value your input! What would you do?

    Choose base on the work you are doing. If you already can animate on the Innovator 16, I don't see why you'll need a tablet to do the same thing. You can animate on a tablet, sure, but the main selling point is the portability.

    Can you run the clip studio phone interface on the tab s7(+)? I like the simplicity of it on the phone and it would give more space for drawing. I don't know if it detects the device running it or if the one in samsung shop is different than the pre installed clip studio on the tab s7.

    I just wrote the same thing, to make quick sketches, the stabilization must be removed, it is generally used when inking is required. also within preference, in inverted cursor the option should be marked without delay, those options are also because there are people who prefer to make the strokes slower, the program is for all tastes.

    Im a beginner digital artist and i was looking a new tablet, ipad pro or a samsung s7+.. lots of people use pro for the apple pencil i think cuz all they say is how good and realistic the pencil is. but i think the s pen is better and maybe the pro might be a little better but because of the money difference and and the fact that the s7+ comes with the s pen :) s7+ is a better choice. after i found out all these i was looking for an app and procreate was a tough choice. everyone was talking about it so i research it for a while. its a really great app but its for ios so i was lost again with choosing the right tablet, s7+ or a pro.. i think im gonna go with s7+, ibis paint, clip studio are really great apps and i enjoyed watching the video.. thanks for reading xx

    Clip Studio Paint (subscription-based) on Android can draw whatever Procreate can draw. It's just the workflow that's different. If you haven't purchase Samsung Tab S7+. Note that the battery life isn't that good. It's just 7 hours with auto-brightness. If you don't mind a smaller display, Tab S7 have 12-14 hours battery life. Another option is to look at Apple website's refurbished section, and look for the 2020 iPad Pro models which are 15% off their official launch price. For displays 12-inches and larger. It's either 12.9-inch iPad Pro vs Samsung Tab S7+

    @@teohyc No it's not. Explain why are subscription services reasonable for CSP when the Desktop version is a one time purchase?

  • @teohyc

    @teohyc

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@MaoRatto There is no need to explain because different people see value differently. CSP subscription is US $25/year, or $2+/month. For someone who draws often with CSP it's definitely worth the money for all the features provided. EASILY worth the money when you consider Photoshop is US $10/month. But CSP monthly subscription just an option. You can go with CSP desktop which is one time purchase, or go with the many other free apps, e.g. Krita, Medibang Paint Pro. Just because it's worth the money to me does not mean it's going to be worth the money for you. For desktop users, it makes sense to get the one time purchase. For tablet users, there's only the subscription model unfortunately.
