i do beleave that in pool luck plays a small role.....well not just pool but in all sport, i play golf and there is often luck involved....I play pool as well and often i find myself calling myself or the other giy lucky

He's literally playing the game to have fun, it shows on his face whenever he wins or not. That smile just says "This is fun, I want to play some more".

He's probably the most successful athlete of the Philippines. It may not be by money but medals and awards and most of all the people who love him.

The level of disrespect this man had to face all his life in the hands of commentators is sad to see now. He was way ahead of his time but was always under appreciated until much later in his career

One of the best statement in this video is that he is an amazing kick shot. A lot of players can do what Efren does as a trick shot where there are no pressures involved, but Efren's been doing it in an actual game, in a major event and more importantly in a championship match where a lot is at stake and there are pressure in each and every shot he makes.

Jesus says he who is humble shall be exalted... he who is exalted shall be humble... Efren is a humble pool superstar the best there ever was. 👍🎱

Earl is actually a good guy, he just doesn't tolerate people who don't take the game as seriously as he does. When someone like Efren plays the game with the same respect and talent Earl shows them respect and friendship. He definitely loves Efren but sometimes that competitive nature makes him act a little strange lol, but he is mostly misunderstood and looked at like a bad sport which is a bad mistake. Earl is probably second only to Efren in pure talent and drive and just shows his frustration more than most. If he played any other sport, like basketball, he would be seen as intense and spirited but because pool is mostly laid back and polite he is branded as a troublemaker.

I'm not even much of a pool player myself, but I've always heard people who play mention his name. I vividly remember Joe Rogan mentioning him years ago as the greatest pool player of all-time.

Always gonna love him. He's a wonderful person and wildly talented guy.

He is the GOAT of pool 🎱... the living legend. Thank you so much the magician for sharing us your great tallent. Its been a pleasure watching you. You are an amazing pool player and an amazing person. Philippines is so proud of you.

And he has so much respect for the game that he never does jump shots.

I definitely think jump shots should be removed from the game, or at least jump cues removed. Pool was alot more entertaining and interesting when guys didn't jump. Watching more safety battles and kicks. Now its just a jump after a jump

What I admired most about Bata Reyes aside from being d greatest ever is.. his humbleness.

A humble champion indeed. A quality that makes him all the more likable by all.

I’m not a fan of 9 ball, but he makes everything look so easy. When I was in tournaments I would take a moment to figure and set my shots, he just walks up and does it so quickly! Big fan😁

The GOAT. Efren has met/passed all the categories and requirements necessary of being it. No doubt.

I just like the fact that after all his achievements and fame. He still wanted to live the life he had before all of it

A truly humble man is remarkably rare. Lots of brazen big egos in the world of billiards. For Effren to be the top dog in that world is difficult to imagine.

Back in the 90's me and my father we watch reyes bustamante and other Filipino pool player's. Thats the bonding time for my father and me.

His ability to shoot the ball is very extra ordinary that years and years to come will still be remembered.

This was really interesting, it came up on my feed and I'm pleased it did! I'm really interested in these types of sport like darts, snooker, billiards, scrabble, eSports, pro kabbadi ! Just any sport or competition which highlights great talent, dedication and sportspersonship for sports and championships you might not hear much about.

When a 5 years old child start anything with full of love and earn first money by that anything he did with full of love at the age of nine, that is a journey of A Legend and A G.O.A.T and not a LUCKIEST MAN. He works very very hard to achieve that title.
