Most of the trick shot can be seen everywhere but most of the time they are not used in pro tournament. He's one the fewest person who has guts to do those tricks in a pro tournament and sometimes on clutch moments.

He did not do it to impress. For him its the most viable option which isnt normal. He only does it when he is cornered. Some clips here are from his farewell tour, thats purely for entertainment.

If I recall Steve Davis did beat Efren Reyes in a match and you can find the video out there. Efren wasn't 100% unbeatable but believe me he was right there with 100% champion.

Yeah if pool/billiards/snooker was included in 1970's. Olympic games held every 4 years. So he may get atleast 10 Olympic gold medals in the span of 40 years?🤔 And imagine if he played on Regular Pool, 8-Ball, 9-Balls and Carrom at the same event, he may get atleast 2 or might swipe all four?🤔

You just got to love this humble happy-go-lucky pool perfectionist who has never let money compromise his enjoyment of a lifetime's learning and mastery of people who play this game.

Really. People DO make some pretty fancy "trick shots", but the magic in Efren's shots is in his mind...when he walked up to the second shot and called side pocket, I was lost. Not a clue, especially when he lined it up along the length of the table. Of course, his execution has to be precise as anyone's, but it's the imagination that really stands out.

For those that don’t know, at around 2:10 in, once you shake someone’s hand you are giving up and accepting the loss so Efren likes to have fun sometimes and purposely miss. It’s not a lie, it’s the truth, he’s done it several times just for fun because he already won once the opponent shakes his hand and the opponent shook his hand before he even shot because he knew that shot was just a given for Efren so that’s why Efren likes to purposely miss those easy shots when he can.

Inducting EFREN "BATA" REYES as a HALL OF FAMER in all the billiards organizations in the whole world is only befitting for such a LEGEND and a ONCE IN A LIFETIME BILLIARDS PHENOM.

Any time someone who does not know much about the game of pool is talking to me about the "Color of Money" with Tom Cruise, I point out that no good pool player, not even a Pro would ever play shots like that in a real game ... So either I am wrong or, Efren is one level above Pro - I clearly think the latter is the case! I was lucky enough to be able to watch the Magician play in person twice and both times I was equally blown away by his skills and his humility, what an outstanding sportsman!

I love it when someone is so epically good at something, yet they remain as humble as the Dali Lama. This man is a legend both on and off the table.

There's a lot of trickshot, but Efren did that in a tournament.

GOD of Pool. I cant get enough of his videos.

If you want efren to "not have a shot" you have to hide the cue ball in your pocket its the only way.

I got to meet him before I knew who he was; he came with some guys over to my friend's house to help us dismantle and move a pool table. After they all had left, my friend put on a KZread video, similar to this one, for me to watch. As it dawned on me who we had just worked beside, I almost had a stroke, which is of course why he didn't tell me beforehand! Awesome memory!

Many people doesn't realize is that Efren became renowned in the 1995-1999 timeline when pool is becoming more popular due to the skills he is showing. He is way past his prime in these times because his age range is nearly 43 or 45 but still he managed to showcase these. Imagine him in his prime when he is 25 up to his 30's.

Watching his VIRTUOSITY was a privilege....It's an Honor to watch the best shot of the best pool Player ever....The MAGICIAN REYES

Its like the harlem trick dribbles, dunks and moves but all in an exhibition games...the goat efren bata reyes did those dunks, trick dribbling and passes in big games! Thats real life magic! 💪😊

Got to see Efren playing one pocket at DCC 2023 and it seemed like a farewell tour but he was in the hunt for the championship late. Such an ambassador to the sport. I also got to watch him play chess which he is also very good at.
