    I too considered myself an atheist up until about three years ago. For the first time, instead of reading the Bible intellectually as a historical tome in the same vein as Homer’s “Iliad”, I opened myself spiritually and invited The Lord into my heart as I read it. It changed me. 🙏🏼

    I can relate to you so much dave. I was Christianend/ baptized as a baby, I was born in 87 but fell away around 5 years old, I'm 33 now and during lockdown after looking for meaning my whole life I decided to read the bible, in a proper way as it's not like your usual novel. To say I was blown away would be an understatement. I still have some reservations about some of the OT but the new testament changed my life. I've never known a peace like it and read it every day. I read the good news translation and also the KJV. I was pretty much a militant atheist through my 20s, I scoffed at Christians. After a lot of loss in my life and hard times, the gospels ( especially according to John) has totally transformed my life. The human spirit is stronger and more powerful than you can ever imagine through Jesus Christ. God bless my friend, I wish you all the happiness and love in the world and beyond ❤✝️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 * when I said I was 5 that was when I stopped Sunday school, it wasn't loss of faith, my mother and father weren't very religious so they didn't mind me stop going, I found Jesus at 33 after losing my mum to cancer and my dad has cancer just now, I pray every night please pray for my family ❤✝️x

    Rydo, what an amazing testimony, thank you for sharing. I have a lot of friends that are hardcore atheist and it pains me to see them struggle through anxiety, living in fear and one in particular with panic attacks, I'd so love for them to find the peace you now know about. If you could go back to your 20s, how could a Jesus lover persuade you effectively? Im not to jam things down people's throat but genuinely invested in sharing the good news. Ps. Why Leviathan in your name and after knowing the Biblical meaning of it, do you still want to be associated with that name?

    I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT DAVE RUBIN INTO JUST BEFORE THE LOCKDOWN LAST YEAR. He was just coming off the Grid. I had no idea he was an atheist, a jew, Gay with a partner, a total liberal from Californi. I just loved him for his honesty, open-mindedness values, lack of hatred & censorship to what he didn't believe. I was fascinated by him. I'm 70yrs old female, straight, love my country, God, family & patriotic, brought up Catholic, retired public school teacher, went thru the the 1968-73 yrs at Indiana University (which was a dry state ( somehow we got around that), but NOTHING LIKE MOVING TO MILWAUKEE/MADISON AREA IN WISCONSIN. socialism & marxism were in the universities. Now I'm proud of being what I call a COMPASSION CONSERVATIVE & A POSITIVE REALIST after the lockdown. I've seen Dave Rubins gradually change & I love it. We are so different from the outside , but found in him AN OPEN BOOK LOOKING FOR TRUTH. Dave made the lockdown bearable & interesting. I just kept listening to him. I didn't censor him. I found a church called Elmbrook, but the Liberalism of teaching & a party environment of where I lived was a new experience that I explored. DAVE RUBIN IS SO DOWN TO EARTH & HONESTLY LIKEABLE. He has done more for going back to being accepting, more stability, conservativism the beauty & honor of tradition, than anyone I know on You Tube. Keep it going, Dave! Luv U! conservativr Dave

    Can I ask your opinion about something in common with atheists and theists? I find that, especially online, both atheists and theists come on here to teach not to learn, to act like they know everything rather than to be humble and explore with a prudently-open mind. How do you think we can rise above this debate-setup that makes us armored artillery vehicles rather than thirsty roots? How do approach each other willing to trust, to give the benefit of the doubt? It seems like Dave Rubin and Matt Fradd are approaching this.

    @@Bc232klm - there are truths that are more truthful than some truths. What exactly is truth? Our society is limited to believing that truth only comes from our material senses. It’s wonderful how much we discovered through science but it’s still a very limited understanding of the wholeness of truth. I recommend Jordan B Peterson’s biblical lectures where he goes into the old biblical stories as narratives. As truths that aren’t literal but real. Science has never conflicted with the Bible. The church who preached that lost their way as well as noted by the Four Horsemen of Meaning podcast with JBP where a Catholic bishop admits so. It’s an amazing time to discover the Truth.

    Im an ex atheist as well. 4 Months ago the Lord revealed himself, I always appreciated Jesus, but never knew him. He showed his hands, his blood, the nails. Since that day Im in love with Christ and he called me to the Catholic Church. I discovered what Love really is, its Christ. and that's why I Will love his Church and his Holy Mother, the Immaculate Conception. Going straight for the TLM (I know Latin) was the best decision I made. It healed me emotionally and gave me the strength to break free from sin. The love of Christ transforms you so deep, beautiful. This Easter I Will be baptized and confirmed. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Something we've ignored our whole life - our implicit faith in the moral order of the universe - something that was not a consequence of physical cataclysms arising from nothing... I'm 58 yrs old and was born into a non theist home. Nobody ever said the word atheist as there was no need , we didn't live a life of religion and were left to make our own minds up . As I got older and more curious I used the Internet to become more informed and tried my hardest to discover why so many people in the world had completely different views on God/religion to me and was i missing out on something. Every minute I spend makes me more confident that theists are in need of a crutch of some sort and choose to ignore facts and science which contradict there beliefs. A life of superstition is not for me and I prefer to believe in one god less than every theist who thinks by chance they follow the true one. Lastly I must say I'm confused as to why a homosexual atheist can choose a life of religion when practically every one sees homosexuality as a sin.

Yesterday I stood in line at the bank for over 20 minutes, and I noticed I was the only one just standing there, looking around. Everyone else had their heads down, typing on their phones. I figure I'm on my phone enough when in the privacy of my home, the least I can do is be unplugged whenever I'm out in the real world. I mean it's incredible to see people typing and walking across a street, or yank their phone out as they wait for something that's bound to take mere moments. You know I had a similar experience when I lived overseas. I was never an atheist but the experience sort of took my Christianity and put me in a position as the observer able to compare Christian lives to the locals, in my case it was Thai Buddhists. I lived there for 6 years and it was vary much like living off grid because I was essentially in a non english speaking environment which forces you to turn your attention to actions rather than words. And I noticed that, much like the electronics we glue ourselves to, we focus in on each others thoughts and words but never each others actions. I even took advantage of the fact that I was apart from any home church and just sat down with my bible and decided how does scripture compare to actual Christian living and how the locals lived, how pastors taught, and I came to a similar conclusion to this man. We have become so detached that no wonder you got lefties buying into utter nonsense that not even reality can side with let alone science, philosophy even basic psychology. It's as if the magic rectangle has substituted critical thinking which at that time was deeply Orwellian, the irony being George Orwell was an atheist but what he was speaking was essentially a warning of where this dependence on others opinions and thoughts and not their own was leading to.

    Character and morality is what a true Christian cares about. If you have good character and beliefs then YES we will sit down and break bread with you, but if you embrace the immoral lifestyles then NO we will not open our doors. When a homosexual fights there temptation to become heterosexual then that is what GOD loves, or even when a heterosexual fights there lust to have sex then that is what GOD loves, HE loves that we "try" to fight the good fight, and dave is seems to coming to an understanding of what morality truly means. GOD will always bless and reward the diligent who ants TRUTH.

    @Mitthenstein When we go to church we aren't told what is right and wrong. It's much deeper than that. We go to deepen our faith, to remind us to keep our faith strong, to learn more about God and the bible, and to pray for people.

    @MitthensteinLOL so where do you go for morality and guidance my friend. There is not greater or better KING/Shepard/leader/guider than JESUS CHRIST. We are to follow GOD in JESUS name not mankind!

  • @warrior4christ578

    @warrior4christ578

    Жыл бұрын

    @Mitthenstein WOW, you clearly have no idea WHO or WHAT Christianity truly IS. Who are you to say what is right or wrong, or good or bad. Who are you to say when discipline should be conducted, Who are you to say who deserves peace love and joy or judgment? You would rather bow down to mankind and women instead of bowing down to a higher power that has already been proven to be REAL. Follow and practice HIS blueprint, manual, guide to peace loge joy and see if it works. Like i said you follow mankind instead of actually having a relationship with JESUS,WHO is KING of kings and LORD or lords. GOD never created suffering but allows it, and it is people like you that have no wisdom or knowledge of who satan is that allows you to be so foolish and misguided. It funny how the world cry's for help, then when GOD brings judgment to those who deserve it, then the world starts crying of how cruel HE IS. So I ask you, you want GOD to help or stay out of the world lol. Also, why should you have any glory or credit when achieving something great, when in reality it was GOD HIMSELF that even gave you that opportunity to shine bright. Being HUMBLE and GRATEFUL is the key to success which many non Christian successful billionaires will tell you, which you can study for yourself. In some part Of course blame falls on us if we disobey and choose not to follow our heavenly FATHER. That is like disobeying your Dad and mom when they tell you not to play with fire as a child, then you end up finding a match box and burn your house down by accident. Yes, your parent would be upset and discipline you but would never throw you away or disown you, if they truly loved you. So for one, if one has a TRUE moral sense of view, we would look in the mirror and realize that we messed up and blame SHOULD be on us because we disobeyed our parents and by doing so caused chaos in our home. In this case GOD does not blame us but instead teaches us a lesson and the consequences of our actions, GOD isn't pointing HIS finger at our faces yelling at us, but instead opens HIS arms with love and embraces us even tho we have fallen short in the dark world from HIS GLORY/Presence/HOLINESS/LIGHT. You literally have no wisdom, knowledge or education on this topic by far and are litearly talking out of emotion, feelings, opinions, which is irrelevant and what children do, please grow up and actually read a book for once and educate yourself on these topics. 1) Where do we comes from as a human species? 2) What is your purpose on this earth? 3) Is there objective morality, if so where does it originate from? 4) Is there life after death? Where do you go after you die? No more opinions and only facts now.

  • @warrior4christ578

    @warrior4christ578

    Жыл бұрын

    @Mitthenstein That fact that you are saying you don't need to be told on what objective morality is, truly shows how foolish you are. Only fools in this world live by their own wisdom instead of the CREATOR/GOD/JESUS. Every single tribe in Asia, Africa, Europe and amerces all got a taste of what true morality was and changed there ways which is a FACT. Why else would the Roman empire stop the practice and game of gladiators or more than 1 wives? As well as pedophilia being stopped in Asia, and child blood sacrifices were abolished in Americas and Africa. I can literally go on and prove how your view is incorrect on morality. You lack wisdom and knowledge on morality and live off your own emotions and feelings like a child does in todays age, just look at how this generation is acting (children). The reason you do not expect a reward is because you aren't doing anything that deserves a reward. Why would a father gift his daughter or son for being disobedient and constantly ignoring their parents rules and guidance. LOLOL then you go on and talk about evolution LOLOL, this has already been disproven and the father of Darwinism was a fraud and was proven to be so. Darwin himself even says that he is still confused and puzzled by how mankind intelligence came from a lesser intelligence. He was also a 33 degree free mason who are satanist and still practice blood sacrifices which you ignore. Everything that you have told me so far has no intelligence or rock solid to stand upon. From your view on life, clearly shows me that GUARANTEE you don't sleep good at night. There is much contradiction and confusion in the words you write to me and i can tell your are lost, especially because you lack guidance and oversight from GOD. What is immoral in your view point, and I am going to prove a point here and give you facts to prove you otherwise.

    My husband and I were discussing technology the other day, and how when we were growing up in the 90s, if we wanted to hear a song, we'd call the local radio station, wait on hold for 20 minutes, request the song, then sit around with our boombox for potentially another 30 minutes to hear it come on, then hit Record on the cassette player if we wanted a copy of it. Vs kids today who are like, "[into phone or tv] PLAY [such and such song]." Or download it with a click of a button. It's instant. They've no concept of patience.

The trick, for lack of a better word, is to just always keep the door open to God. When people embrace a label and then close themselves off to anything else, it's a shame. Scripture says that God wills that all be saved, and I believe that when someone always leaves the door open - even just a crack - God will knock.
