@@brandonbrammer9629 good theory but godzilla practically is one of superman's weaknesses, there are 3 the 2 widely known ones are kryptonite and magic, the 3rd one I believe is not widely known is nuclear radiation which godzilla actually is.

I love that Godzilla and Superman are almost treated as equals in this series, one only winning over the other because of something tied to the other’s character. Superman was distracted with having to save and protect Shazam and that costed him the fight. I can only imagine what would throw Godzilla off of his game.

But given there are currently under the sea it might be hard for Superman to come across a lead sheet to shield himself. Anyways, the wait is killing me for the last issue. It’s been great so far, as a Superman/DC fan and Godzilla/Monsterverse fan, This is the best crossover I have read in 7 years. I hope they stick the landing.

Ok fine but it's also Toho knowing that Godzilla doesn't need superman, superman needs Godzilla. Toho says, "fine you want our radioactive super lizard to be part of your comic...that's fine...but he doesn't lose ...take it or leave it." I think it mostly comes from Superman and/or DC fans caring about whether superman could beat Godzilla and Gojira fans/universe not giving a shit about dc or marvel or whether any of their trivial characters could "beat" Godzilla. Maybe that's just me....

Godzilla literally almost killed Superman with just his mighty titan force, he's faced aliens way stronger than Superman. So in my opinion, Godzilla wins this battle against the Justice League

It was easily Godzilla's win. It was established while he survived, Superman was weakened significantly by being caught in a nuclear explosion and was mummified because he was so weakened. So, being hit by Godzilla's atomic breath would definitely hurt Superman. It's not a fatal weakness like Kryptonite, but Godzilla has a massive edge.

Superman picks him up into space throws him into the sun. This is not a fight without a plot point

Superman has problems handling various forms of radiation. So it's not surprising Godzilla's atomic breath would have that effect on him. Plus Superman has a bad habit of thinking he can tank energy attacks like that. This would be an awesome animated film. But I'm not holding my breath, I'm still waiting for them to do an animated film of the Justice League/Power Rangers crossover.

Up until 2015 I actually still had all my Godzilla comics from when I got them at my age of 5, back in 1977. That and the fantastic four Byrne runs of olde. Kinda wish I hadn't tossed them all.

Godzilla will win because even though Superman is extremely powerful he’s not invincible, (and no Kryptonite is not Superman’s only weakness to those of you who read this comment and think that.) Superman has another weakness that puts this battle heavily in Godzilla’s favor, Radiation and more specifically Ionizing Radiation which is in thing’s like X-rays, Nuclear Power Plant, and undeniably Godzilla. In the Comic (not the Nolan movie) The Dark Knight Returns, Superman is exposed to Ionizing radiation from a nuclear fallout and the result is Superman immediately shriveling up like a prune and is so weakened that when he fights Batman later on he gets beaten senseless. Now imagine if he wasn’t fighting a Human in that state but instead a 393 feet tall 99,634 ton radioactive monster. Here’s how I see their battle going down, Superman flies at Godzilla! too fast for him to precisely hit him with his atomic breath, so one Superman is in range Godzilla uses his nuclear pulse and it gravely weakens Superman, noticing this Godzilla charges up his atomic breath and incinerates Superman, killing him for good. (Note I haven’t watched the the video yet or read the comic so I don’t know what will happen, I’m just going off my knowledge of these 2😅)

Toho and Legendary comics gotta crossover with Marvel again. I wouldn't mind if they'll just remake the first battle in New York. Imagine Godzilla versus Hulk?

The comic simply just uses an alternate MV that isn't the exact same as the current one we been following. Makes 100% sense to me. superman was weakened heavily by a nuclear bomb, so it makes sense that something like that focused into a beam would do heavy damage to him, especially at night.

This comic would make a good animated movie.

There is precedent for atomic breath being a threat to superman. While yellow sun radiation is spinach for Kryptonians all different kinds of star radiation has all different kinds of effects on them both good and bad. The writer can just say godzilla's breath is like X radiation or a type unique to Goji himself.

Many have talked cross-overs for a future movie. Monsterverse & Pacific Rim. Monsterverse & Cloverfield, etc. Monsterverse & Justice League would probably be the most logical, since it could be based on these comic books (and both are under the umbrella of WB).

I'm curious about the results of a battle between the most powerful form of Firestorm (known as Fury where Jason and Ronnie merged) vs most powerful form of Godzilla.

Odd thing about Superman's physiology....it seems that fusion proper, aka star energy, fuels him. However, fission or even nuclear decay, as I understand it, draws power FROM him, with Kryptonite decay being a precise frequency of decay that quickly impacts his physiology.

Worst part about this is that Billy is still alive

All these superhumans would have to get stronger to compete against these Kaijus.

Godzilla is like Superman but a lizard. So, it would make sense that Godzilla could hurt and kill superman, as superman can be killed radiation-wise easier than it would take physical power. Godzilla blasted Superman with his atomic breath. And if you look at how superman and Godzilla can take radiation, Godzilla is able to take radiation, and loads of it, because he has evolved according to radiation and superman hasn't evolved according to radiation.
