Thank you for this video! It's so nice to be able to see the culture of Germany and learn the language in a situation that you may find yourself in if you visited. I understood most things in your video and felt like I was learning something useful. Being able to see what the words meant in a real situation, and not just a picture, was helpful. Hearing the words used naturally, in live situations, was invaluable! I ran across this video by accident. Now I need to see your other videos!

I like that you don’t have subtitles, I find I spend too much time trying to read and not focus on listening.

It wasn't that much food. The salad is misleading. There were two small bread rolls and a few pieces of ham and cheese.

The last time I tried to say 'I am full' to a german friend, I said 'Ich bin voll', to which my friend asked me why I was drunk at lunchtime. Haha. Thanks for the correction!

@@das_evoli Thanks! I guess it still translates to ‘I am full’, but the connotations translate more to ‘I am drunk’. Are there anymore ways to say ‘I am drunk’ in German? There are about 100 in English haha.

@@milliewatsonanimation Yes a lot. Some of them are: "Ich bin hackevoll", "Ich bin dicht", Ich bin blau" or even "Ich bin voll wie eine Haubitze" which literally means: "I'm full like a howitzer"

Hmm deutsche trinken nur Bier und essen nur Bratwurst ? Okidoki, dann gehört schon mal Ostfriesland, Hamburg und Nordfriesland nicht zu Deutschland 😉. Haben ja auch unsere eigene Sprachen, denn Plattdeutsch ist eine anerkannte Fremdsprache. Of course she should. Not all viewers are in intermediate/advanced level. She speaking english helps us beginners a lot. Think about the others as well. The whole point is to teach German.

Warum nicht??? It's to help beginners in German if not it would be too hard to learn making her video pointless. She is probably one of the best English Deutsch teachers online- her enthusiasm and her clarity and it's in chunks😃👍

@Zeug Dings Then i speak with them in english. But in terms of learning here, translating all these sentences kills the flow really. Fortunately there are enough only german channels for learners. I just regret this one isn't one of them, because I like it. No big deal.
