    There's more I can put on this list, but I like to keep to the bigger things that I think will improve the status of the game and people's perception of it. What is the hot button issue for you at the moment? Coins? Story? Something I didn't list? I always like reading you guys opinions on this stuff so feel free to chime in!     I think 2 big things might be an UI update to make less tedious a lot of things (servant levelling and personalisations across the board like CCs and fou paws) and replay boss fights that would give us something to do to test units or just enjoy the new servants we pull. Then there are other smaller things but for me these 2 might be the biggest changes I would like

    More PERMANENTLY repeatable story boss fights to fill in dead weeks. The ORT raid is seriously one of the game's most unique fights yet, so for it to vanish after beating the boss feels like a huge wasted opportunity.

    Animation updates for all servants released from Babylonia backwards that haven’t already received them is a huge thing I’d love to see.

    Lack of rank-up quests is one thing, but interludes *completely* vanishing is insane. Even SQ interludes were at least the occasion to give some characters a bit of focus, and now we no longer have that. And oof, looking at that 2023 wish list just hurts.

    I mean that's entirely on the writing team. Nasu doing the other route for Tsukihime (which is why we have Ordeal Stall) Sakurai was doing a lot of writing on Samura Remnant Meteo who the fuck knows what he's doing, salem being his last/only main story chapter, Girls Work anime being in limbo for over a decade and his own light novel series not having a volume in 3 years says enough about him. Other dude did Papermoon so at least he got a story chapter out. There's a reason why they've been bringing in new writers like the Draco and Samurai Remnant event writer, the Case Files writer did a really story heavy grailfront etc but main story seems to be gated to Nasu and his 4 main guys outside of LB3.

    Fgo has to step up, they can't be staggering anymore. They have tougher competition and many new gatchas are coming in and blowing FGO out of the water. This game makes millions, they have to put more into the game to keep their spot. I think stuff like Bond CE improvements should have been an easy change, just give them full atk and hp scaling. Adding more Fou Paws should be easy, the pity system can be reworked very easily. The only thing I do not think they will touch is servant coins, they made it difficult and frustrating on purpose to make people spend more, but its starting to backfire since so many other gatchas have way more generous systems.

    I think the end will happen for fate pretty quickly when it comes. Game looks old. And it's gacha is mean. It's main asset is incumbency.

    FGO looks old and will end soon? @@dudsummon3803 Maybe take a look at Monster Strike which is the king of gatcha in Japan and you're realize how dumb that opinion is. The big 3 in Japan (Monster Strike, Fate Grand Order & Puzzle & Dragons) are they big 3 and FGO looks the best out of them..... The only gatcha that has challenged them and sat in top 3 in recent times is Uma Musame... even if you double Genshin or Star Rail mobile estimates to add pc/ps5 playerbase they still aren't touching the big 3 in Japan.

    Even with 3k atk and hp the bond CEs would be garbage. They need to add 5% bond bonus for them to be worth using.

    i know its a minor thing but jalter still receiving no animation updates was enough to get me play fgo way less than i usually do especially since hsr has been very enjoyable. havent even bother reading events despite translation mods existing.

    At this point, when they mention "dev talk" in their livestream, to me it's just 2-5 dudes in their 6hour coffee break in their 7-8 hour shift

    What I’d personally like to see is them go back and work on year one and year two Servants hit counts, helping them more relevant for today. Going back and upgrading skills and NP’s is great and all, but Servant hit count is pretty important as well.

    Agree on pretty much everything, personally i think that will be nice 1 or 2 permanent mode for the weeks without events, like a tower or a Grail Front that reset/change every couple of month .

    Look, FGO is an absolutely amazing game in both story and gameplay (To a certain degree), I've played many many many gacha games, old and new, bad and good. And because of that I know exactly how much potential this game has not only as a franchise but as an icon. Every game needs to "Modernize" eventually, and I definitely think that time has come for FGO and it has definitely been like that for at least a couple years. There is literally not a single person in the whole community that would have negative thoughts about an evolution/modernization in quality for FGO. I hope that more people can speak up, because we all know that the devs care about the game enough to listen to us as long as we're loud enough.

    I'll be real with you, I'm not hopeful for any QoL feature at all. Anniversary last year and New Years were the two best times they had to do that and they didn't, a lot of money came in either way. I wouldn't even be surprised if the game undergoes EoS after its tenth year and there's no offline ports of the game in sight.

    It's definitely not the biggest issue, but I'd like my AP refunded when I lose or exit a fight. It would mean that if I wanted to have a fight with a story boss without looking anything up, I don't have to use apples just because it costs 24 AP per attempt.

    Yeah so many other gacha games do this and I would love it here because right now I don't even feel like going into some unknown node unless I know the gimmicks and whatever else from a wiki site.

    Permanently repeatable story boss fights and Event CQs need to be available. Especially for dead weeks and getting revenge against story fights that we had to use command seal revive and blue cubes for LB6 fights and others.

    All of these points are legitime and would really improve the game. Sadly I have negative trust in the devs at this point after the last two years. They will do the bare minimum. Like the double rate up change they did today. A low hanging fruit that doesnt actually change anything since double 4* banners are terrible in first place. I hope they really surprise me but I expect nothing.

    The fact that there will be a 10 month gap, at the very least, between OC1 & Ordeal Stall 2 is mind-blowing. Zero excuse. Aniplex doesn't deserve the FATE IP.

    While I agree, why blame Aniplex? Don't they only translate the game? All of the actual coding and work is done by Lasengal.

    Why are you not blaming the Type Moon writing room? Do you not think Aniplex would want more story chapters out since they are some of the most profitable moments outside of summer, anni and new years?

Lasengle needs more bodies in seats to get more content out, but why would Aniplex care because all Lasengle need to do is make 1 servant & then they jump up to #1 in sales. None of that money is getting reinvested back into the game.

    How does any of that improve the speed of the main story that is gated by Type Moon's writers? @@saviorlegend Do you think DW/Lasengle and Aniplex were doing backflips when Nasu rewrote LB6 and LB7 slowing down their release?

    Yeah, the fact that there’s an auto select for servant enhancement, but not for CE enhancement is beyond me.

    Regarding Quick supports, I would like cheap ones being added. There are no dedicated Quick supports among 3 stars and below. I want that green Xufu, or at least green Paracelsus. Hell, I wouldn't mind a green Mozart/Shakespeare at this point! A green Ox King CE would be interesting too

    i've been playing NA for 2 years and JP for 1, here's some of my thoughts on this: 1. i understand they started coding the game for their own enjoyment and didn't expect this level of success, don't know how their day to day is but seems to me like their dev team is a bit mismanaged. they need to keep a team on new content and separate team to maintain, refactor and standardize the current codebase 2. from what i see on jp the current character roster is getting loaded (with the exception of quick supports), they could focus on balancing and keep new units diverse and sparse 3. this game begs for replayable content. our rosters are too good to be confined to events once you catch up to story

    What I want most is cloud saving and being able to link your account via email. It's something so basic that every game nowadays has it, but FGO insists on transfer codes. Not only is it archaic and inconvenient but you are always at risk of losing your account forever if your device breaks and something happens to your code. (And it's a pain in the ass not being able to play on multiple devices)

    Imho as long as the game makes tons, there isn't much insentive. No animation updates, very little QOL and the game makes a ton...

    The thing i want modt at this point is just the end of lb arc cuz holy shit its been long. But when it comes to in game changes, their are too many. At least add story replay and fix command code ui

    As a recent Melusine owner one thing that we need is having a way of mixing ascention 0,1,2 with red skin, it bugs me that you cannot use the red skin while starting with base form.

    Here's a simple one...move up the time frame for qol updates for All servers, in other words if Jp gets an update that makes the game smoother, better ui, or other game quality bring it Asap to All servers.

    I like tiers in pity. Every milestone can reward players with either mats or a free 10 pull here and there. It feels better for players to know it’s just more than throwing 900sq at a banner just to pity and leave them with a salty taste after all it is 900sq…

    For me it's the RNG drops in farming, the best farming upgrade is ember 5star farming so lvling servants has become great, this needs to be done for ascension and skill upgrade farming not just increase the lvl for the enemies you face, when events come you're given CE's that increase the amount of drops by 1-2 why can't this be in the base game too? Fou paw prints should be farmed with a decent drop rate, bond 10 CE's should have a big impact on the servant or team if used(no one uses them), mana prisms, pure prisms should be farmed with a great increase in how much you can obtain daily, more rank up and boost to older servants, overall for me it's just making the farm more worth the time you put in, i only stuck with this game cause of the servants i was lucky to pull

    Bond CEs aren't used not because they are to weak, they lack the bond bonus for 6-slot, there is no amount of buffs you can give them to make it a good idea to use it, maybe at 90++ you would use 1 max in place of Black Grail.

    They can just add 5% bond bonus to them, it would allow for 6-slot while you use bond CEs.

    @@Zeferet. The 5% bond bonus would allow you to use the effects, instead of using something like Foumes you get to use a bond CE or you can set in on the support. This way you get the effects without changing how the CE system works

    Top of my list: I want to see a 50% split charge Quick Support with a Card Lock / Card Shark mechanic. I do not expect to get that at all, I don't even expect to get a split charge Quick Support, indeed I don't expect to get any Quick Support at all worth talking about. I agree with everything on your list, and it's a real shame, because the strengty of FGO lies in its characters and its writing. They do a good job of making each one stand out and giving you a reason to care. But they're neglecting...well, everything at this point. I gather the writing is still solid, there's just not enough of it. I also don't like how we've devolved into this "everyone's a looper" swamp. I pin that problem on a slow devolution of the game as certain mechanics have become flanderized for one reason or another. For example: the oft-cited dominance of Summer Ibuki as an Arts looper might be mitigated if FGO operated more like Star Rail in the sense that enemies will get to hit you back. Healing and stall and tanking would matter more if enemies didn't just blow you out completely. Solemn Defense wouldn't be needed and Dire Hit would be more valuable if Invuln Pierce only worked on Invincibility. That sort of thing. But these kinds of problems are baked deep into the system now. The game has always been overly tilted towards endless cycle-farming which has encouraged the looping meta where everyone's functionally the same, just better or worse at it. The introduction of Break Bars was a big shift that helped put a lid on some of the excesses of the dominant meta back in the day; I don't really know what they can do now to fix the gameplay issues at hand these days.

    The looper 'rot' is because looping is a dominant strategy to nearly all non-challenge content in the game (and a fair bit of that as well). It is not the players being bad but the game being bad. Want to solve the fixation on looping? Use less content that incentivizes it. For example, implement more Grail Fronts.

    @nevisysbryd7450 I agree, that's partly what I was trying to articulate; I certainly don't blame the players. I mean, I don't want to waste my time when farming any more than anyone else does. Sometimes it can be nice to just farm in the background whilst you listen to something else, but on the whole I would much rather the gameplay of FGO be more interesting than "how to 3-turn" or "how to min turn". I don't like that "AoE NP" is routinely the only card that matters, with a strong preference for two of the three colours. But pointlessly long quests aren't a great solution either. Basically, I think there's a lot of rakes in the game design the devs have stepped on over the years, and I don't really think they know how to get out of the proverbial minefield.

    The looping thing is because 99% of content is just repeatable farm nodes that you can solve for X and that's it, you don't need anything else. The other 1% is story, CQ's, and grailfronts. I doubt they are solving this soon with their staff shortage they really aren't capable of doing big changes like this to the game without doing damage in the short to mid term due to lack of events and story.

    They definitely need to speed up and cheapen some processes. It may or may not improve retainment of players. The pity system is definitely one. To me how ridiculous they make it to bond farm or 120 grail servants. At the moment these two things are really for people who can either play the game relentlessly or stick with the game for a long time for a fairly average play time. The rate at which you get the 4 star Fous and Beast's Footprint are way too slow as well. Having a couple of 120 servants max foued and max beast footprinted doesn't mean you can own the game. I just think it's ridiculous how hard they make these things to do, and most free to play people will likely never have the opportunity to do these things.

    Honestly one of the worst fanbases in gatcha, only beat by the global Genshin community who cape for billion dollar developers. This game would be in such a better place if the jp community was foot on neck like Korea's E7 community.

    I think add a better tutorial is something that will help (bc my god it is slow, boring, and makes fgo gameplay look awful compared to other gachas). I also think that they really need to add a way to autobattle or skip battle to the game. Most gachas nowadays have some form of autobattle or speed up mechanic that isn't genshin. A lot of people use a fgo third party addon to autobattle (especially for lotto) so like adding a way to auto or skip battle wouldn't be the worst.

    I'm just glad it doesn't have a battle pass you have to do daily, pvp and ranking systems. Skins are free that f2ps can catch up to whales.

    Nothing from the list will be implemented. I hate to be the one that shits into everybody's cereal, but FGO has no real reason to change from the devs and publishers' point of view. The servants they make still rake in the money. They need to stop doing that in order for any change to happen.

    Eh. Some things sure, but what you said doesn't conflict with them making QoL updates like adding x100 FP roll option/improving CE leveling, adding more account security (and adding a better Quick support would be in line with your stated incentive).

    @@flashmozzg yeah, I think some small things like faster FP rolls or maybe coin locks would be easy to implement. That being said it's still devwork that someone needs to be paid for that will net a total 0 yen / dollars in profit. The game needs to get that jolt and with the big things will definitely come the small.

    I would agree with you, but they have implemented quality of life changes over the past 2 years that has changed for the better and they didn’t dip in profits, hell they made more after pity was introduced so I kinda can’t see why they wouldn’t implement more QOL

    The game already makes a ton of money, adding QOL updates won’t make the game worse, it’ll only make it better. I’d say coins is the biggest issue mainly for the game. Being unable to obtain four star and five star coins, for most servants is ridiculous, and it’s been an issue for the last like two years, which is absolutely absurd.

    I'm an NA player who watches the future. My rolls have drastically slowed down in 2023, and I don't see that changing in 2024 because... why put in more into a game that the devs don't seem to care as much about? I'm still a huge fan of the story content, and I'll keep doing my own stuff relating to FGO, but... these devs need to get things going again, or they are going to lose people. :/

    To me it sems like no one in development team will care for this game. The story has finished, no one care with the srevants and of course lasenge will only see fgo as a dated stuff that somehow.... keep making money! And what they need to do is just roll with it.

    As much as I appreciate Khad for doing this kind of video, I doubt the devs (or more accurately, the lasengle management) give a flying fuck about making the game better at this point. Story release frequency, 3-week-long events, advanced quests, weak anniversary... everything points to the order (again, from management, not devs specifically) being a minimal effort/minimal investment policy, to do the bare minimum to keep the game spewing money for the remainder of its lifetime, which I hypothesize will be due in 2025 or 2026. I'd love to be proven wrong and for them to be working on FGO 2, but right now, I have no trust in them, which means no more $$ from me.

    Story release is entirely on Typemoon. If Nasu can't get his writers in order (like look at Meteo, what a joke) while he writes the other route for Tsukihime that's on him, not Lasengle or Aniplex.

    I thought about another fate gacha after fgo as well but that project is better to go to other company than lasagna/aniplex who might repeat the same mistakes that are ongoing right now.

    Sadly I don't see lasagna moving a finger to improve the game. They make a lot of money with doing the bare minimum. When the money stops flowing they will say: welp it seems people don't want this anymore, move along people. suck it dry until it's death, mama didn't raise a boy that needed to make an effort to make money.

    Quick and Buster are more similar to each other than either are to arts in terms of their accessibility and viability. Arts is just so far above them that there’s really no point in nitpicking who’s the worse of the two.

    @@Tatian4191Not really, S.Skadi relies far more on card RNG and enemy counts. Quick loopers do not like it when there's some 1 enemy wave and they like it even less when it's something weird like 1/2/X for enemy counts on a node. Buster looping cuts straight through all that unless you're using summer Chloe or need enemy counts for Salter's 1.

    @@dstreetz91 They’re not 1 for 1 by any means, but they’re both conditional loopers and tend to have higher necessary investment. The long and short of it is that Arts is the king and the other two fight for the scraps. Buster’s Achilles’ heel is wave 2 damage for example.

    I don't think any of those are on dev table. they're too busy counting money that us monkey keep putting in despite how bad/lazy new servant is to think about improve a game that have extremely old engine and spaghetti code embedded in it. FGO is no longer about brand loyalty... it's brand slavery

    For pity: As a f2p my want for it is to either get a lowering of the amount needed or an increase in the currency we get cause so far one would be likely to get 3 or 4 SSR guaranteed per year and I don't want that. I don't think that's enough for me personally. Now what I want is for this pity system to be a guaranteed SSR system instead of a pity system. As it stands it feels like a " oh you sad little thing, here's your SSR and stop whining would you " system instead of a "here's where you should theoretically get an SSR/the rated up SSR" system ; I might be totally wrong on that though so I'll be schooled there. What I wish is for it to be lowered to 300sq instead of 900 but I can see where that would be too greedy, so I think it being halved might be fair at 450sq, and if that's still too low, then 600sq should not be a problem. For quick : My wish would first and foremost be a quick Merlin equivalent or just a survival/stall support for quick in general as arts has Tamamo, Castoria, proto Merlin to name a few, buster has Merlin and Nightingale ( to some extent ) where as quick, I don't think, really has any top tier one as it is a pain to get og Skadi to np and even then, there's no hard survivability that lasts more than 1 time to be sustainable. Next would be a increase in low rarity quick supports to work in a similar level to Xu Fu for 3 stars, Lanlin and Caster Gil for 4 stars and Chen Gong for 2 stars. Just 2 out of those would already be a massive win but they need to be permanent though. Lastly the meta Quick support for an increase in quick to be at around the same level as arts and buster in general, or just a farming support really to the vein of Koyan light that'll enable peak bolstering of quick units' performance. As for others I think bringing back Animation Updates would be huge but that's unlikely.

    How is 3-4 year not enough when gatcha like Blue Archive which is "generous" gives 6 a year? You also have to build specific teams in Blue Archive and pvp is another set of units you need to pull for.

    FGO is losing money. It's only making peanuts in US/EU. In JP, it's way behind heavy hitters. I don't think they will invest to fix the issues either.

    ...What is bro yapping about, JP version of the game still makes shitloads, only behind the Hoyoverse games most months. And this is the big problem, JP whales don't seem to care about the glaring serious issues discussed in the video. Global really isn't doing that bad either, but like almost every gacha ever is indeed considerably below JP revenue. I do agree they are unlikely to fix the issues, but its precisely because they are still making bank, not the opposite.

    It's literally only behind Monster Strike, Uma & P&Z lol... also did better than Genshin in JP if you think mobile is 50/50 split with pc/playstation.     In line with mix and match servant ascensions, nps shouldn't swap to 1 animation and that be it, especially when the differences can be so jarring. I'm okay with a transformation mid np but straight up starting the np in a different ascension stage is lame and lazy. And then the biggest issue, animation updates! Rip the 20 Mata hari fans out there that left when they realized if Jalter can't get one, there's no hope

    I agree that fgo has a lot of QoL issues. However, I disagree on the point of Quick. Although, I am nowhere near as knowledgeable as Ottobean on this, I think that quick is severely underrated. Most quick servants are amazing as crit DPS, general DPS or solo due to their ability to generate stars. Servants like Huyan Zhuo, Summer Skadi and Sen no Rikyu come to mind for the aoe. With this in mind, I would argue that quick performs better than in cq. I would also argue that quick farming has the potential to be better than buster, since the former has more servants that can use bg. Moreover, summer Skadi has time wide buffs making it more valuable for multi core farming.

    The biggest issue with quick farming is irregular nodes like those seen in 90+ and 90++ now. S.Skadi doesn't do well in multicore because she isn't like Castoria where she gives the team 30% charge. Then for CQ's you almost always want or even need to take Castoria because of invuln piercing enemies with AoE NP's on break so quick doesn't do well there either while keeping in mind what survivability do quick supports offer. There's OG Skadi's NP for survivability, but it's pretty bad survivability particularly in comparison to Castoria.

    @@dstreetz91 there is a reason why I omitted the arts card in my argument and it is solely because of Castoria. In fact Castoria is so good I would argue that she is universal support as her skills and np benefits every card type, especially cqs due to solemn defense as you've mentioned before. I will mention tho that irregular nodes is not a problem for quick specifically, since arts are plagued by them as well.

    I don’t want to be that guy, but there’s no conceivable world where pity never resets. That would make FGO’s pity incalculably many orders of magnitude better than every other gacha game’s pity, because there is no game with pity THAT generous. Arknights and GBF do have a similar “story” type banner that’s always available, with a relatively generous pity system. The “classic draw” as it’s called in GBF has it’s pity reset like yearly I believe? I could see story banner getting some kind of enhanced pity system for the story banner, but there’s no way in any world FGO becomes a trailblazer that revolutionizes the entire gacha industry with a never resetting pity system.

    What? Rollover pity across banners exists for hoyoverse games unless I have that wrong. Hoyoverse games rake it in, then again their rate for SSR's outside of soft and hard pity rolls is awful, the worst I've ever seen across gacha games.

    @@dstreetz91 I don’t know anything about mihoyo’s gachas other than hearing people what you said about the gacha being terrible and genshin just generally being not very generous. “Rolling pity” as you called it, if they have it then it could theoretically exist in other games, but it clearly comes at a cost, it’s like a monkey’s paw wish.

    @@GS_CCC but it was in exchange of new animation updates and new interludes and rank ups, they also didn't gave us a skip farm button aswell as improvement of the UI. They also lack story replay. Even the games that are smaller than Fgo are doing better than Fgo. For example arknite and blue archive ect. For being one of the biggest gacha game out there, what they are putting out is quite lazy and disappointing. It amazes me how the community keep up with their bullshit excuses. In the end, Fgo has the laziest developers.
