The Fate version of things is actually closer to reality than many people think, with the fact that Nero was not, in fact, a hated emperor at first. Nero became a historic enemy because Nero was an enemy of the then burgeoning religion of Christianity that was trying to oust the existing Roman religion, and in particular, Nero dealt extremely hard punishments to Christians that disrupted public order, including, yes, infamously, setting them on fire. Guess who wrote the history books that depict Nero as an insane tyrant? That's right, Christians! Contemporary documents written by non-Christians or even less biassed Christians instead depict Nero as having actually been popular with the common folks and an enemy of the political elites, and the whole thing about Nero playing the (still not invented yet) fiddle while Rome burned was a complete fabrication. Still a complete nutcase that set people on fire gleefully, spent shittons of money on useless garbage to inflate his own ego and in general was more concerned with trying to buy the adulation of the masses than actually making their lives better, but that's just expected when you've been raised in the cutthroat environment of the imperial family and have a mother as unbelievably shit as Nero's mother was. Also being the product of incest doesn't help either.

For the Julius Caesar one, I just wanna comment why they made him a fatty. In the Shakespear play Caesar says "The best kind of Senator is a fat one". That's it, that is their reasoning for him being fat. Edit:Also Da Vinchi is an in-universe gender-bend, like you kinda-sorta hinted at. She altered her own summoning so she appeared looking like the Mona Lisa.

15:58 Merlin's staff _is_ technically two weapons, since that's a sword in that "umbrella" section (you can see the handle sticking out the bottom of it). You can see him pull it out in a KZread clip of the anime titled "Merlin vs Lahmu". He tought Artoria sword fighting after all.

That isn't just a normal sword either, that's literal Excalibur. Not the Noble Phantasm version used by Saber, but the actual, physical sword Excalibur, the Divine Construct wielded by Artoria Pendragon in life.

Whenever I listen to RoR fans talk about Heracles vs. Jack The Ripper, I'm always reminded of the fact that Fate did that face off first, AND way better. They even had it so that Jack wasn't actually Jack.

46:42 fun fact: due to the fact that Jack was someone who was never caught and identified their are more then one interpretation of Jack in the nasuverse (another character with a similar characteristic is Robin Hood. Because multiple people took up the title of Robin Hood their are more then one version of Robin Hood) This particular incarnation of Jack is actually not human but a collection of spirit of discarded fetuses disposed of in the channels of white chapel that gathered together and took this form as a collective hive mind of spirits. They went after prostitutes in London looking for their “mother” dissecting all who refused them until the Church got wind of this and exorcised Jacks collection of spirits.

How exactly Fran is meant to get pregnant is never known since soon after her creation she doesn’t live up to Frankenstein’s expectations and gets discarded. However fran manages to recover from this and then proceeds to spend her life chasing Frankenstein around the world demanding him to create her partner which he refuses despite her killing anyone and everyone close to him till he decides to kill himself before ever making her partner.

I was worried about it being too hard and accidentally made it too easy. If I do this again I'll probably remove thst hint option or limit it. I originally planned to make it more vague too.

Everyone did really good here. Just some suggestions for if you guys go for a second round. Maybe rework the association hints to be a bit more vague. I would also suggest going for some of the more obscure servants for the harder portion of the game (Saber Gilles, Katou Danzou, Queen of Sheba, etc.) Possibly if you wanted to mess with them, throw them off with a lostbelt servant or two 😂

I wanted to avoid using servants who I don't think my friends would know the name of (I asked everyone before hand about the history and mythology that they'd recognise.) and I'm planning to make that hunt into a life line for a future quiz.

I was not sure which Norse figure to put in there. My boyfriend said that Skadi would be more recognisable than Sigurd or Bryn. ( I was hoping the snow would clue them in that she was associated with Winter)

@@babylonnightfgo Dunno what your bf was thinking but Brynhild and Sigurd are way more known than Skadi, it's a mix of Siegfried/Sigurd being used in lots of fantasy stories or referenced and Brynhild being a quite popular hero in the Marvel verse.

If you plan on doing a second video I’d love if you used characters from more “obscure” fate titles like Fate/Requiem and Fate/Lost einherjar. also it would be funny if you used an alter version right after a normal version of a character just to throw them off

Sadly I'm not familiar with those Fate titles either, but maybe if we did a Super hard mode I'd include some. Using an Alter is something I might just have to do

Not sure anyone say this yet but Skadi is indeed not well known. The more well known would be Scáthach since Cú Chulainn is famous (a bit). Skadi on other hand is character base on Scathach and the tale is not well known to whole world.

I was planning to use Bryn as the Nordic servant and then ny boyfriend convinced me that Skadi was better known. I suspected she might have been too hard for this quiz. (He's consumed more media featuring Norse figures than I have. I just studied Norse literature for half a year)

@@babylonnightfgo Personally I think Bryn is more well known as well because Siegfried/Sigurd is very famous (most people don't know the different between two version but it same story so make sense).

the story with Loli Jack the Ripper is quite sad tbh. She... or they as a whole are the spirit of all aborted babies by prostitutes during those times in England. The reason why she's also dressed as kinky is to replicate that she's birthed from the prostitutes getting knocked up with that kinky vest for a shirt and suggestive string panties. All her/their victims where slashed in the womb as she's trying to commit unbirthing to justify being born while also getting revenge on those women who never thought twice of committing abortion just to continue their business.

Me watching this who knows next to nothing about Fate and most Fate servants: Hmm, I see. Very interesting

I think if you do another of these you should change the hints a little. Just tell them the servant class at the start, since it doesn't really help much (and they're not going to ask for it anyway); and only give association hints after era hints, so even if that does make it too easy they're still down multiple points.

Have been reworking the rules for a future one. We decided to make the Association Hint into a Life Line that can only be used once.

Well, only about a dozen of the Greek Gods came from space, and the Roman Gods who were originally Greek Gods _did_ come from space, since those were one in the same.

@@NoxarBoi All Greek gods in Fate are from space, not a specific number, the newer gods born from them come from the gods intermingling with humans therefore the children are half mech/alien half human. It's like saying only X number of Y race are from Z place because their children aren't born at that place, do you know how biological/natural nationality works? It's the same thing.

Their biological offspring must have spawned from the Machine Gods’ Terminal forms, which are made from most likely True Ether, similar to the Ether bodies of Servants. Even disregarding the Machine Gods’ descendants, there are other Greek deities like the Gorgon sisters and possibly Chiron who are incarnated phenomena spawned and accepted as Greek gods.

@@NoxarBoi I mean, yeah the "Terminals" were likely all that remained of the Greek Gods after their war with Attila. But it seems like remnants of their machine nature remain. Like the joke of Heracles turning into a car. And yes jokes count, as a bunch of jokes from previous Fate works have ended up as canon(Like Taiga merging with a jaguar god)

Really fun watch. The hints are too strong though. My suggestions for those is to be a bit more vague. An example would be for achilles is instead of the hint you guys used you could also just say "This fate servant participated in the trojan war" its both vague and specific enough for there to be enough choices without giving away the answer immediately.

I think the ''association'' hints are way too strong. Unless they wouldn't even know the character if given the name it just gives the answer.
