How fast is too fast? | Train Sim World Ruhr Sieg Nord

Ойындар

A blown station leads to the question of just how fast is too fast on the new Ruhr Sieg Nord route for Train Sim World. Pushing the commuter train to its limits before having another stab at doing it properly.
This brand new Ruhr Sieg Nord expansion for Train Sim World was sent to me for free by Dovetail Games with the expectation that I'd record a video for it. HAH! I am nobody's puppet! You can just expect me to record any old rubbish because you gave me a free copy of the thing. That said, it does appear as though I've recorded this one, so maybe this approach does work. Anyway, this isn't a review because I don't do reviews, it's just me larking about with a new train.

this video brings some good memories back. having rode this route before in real life a few times i have to admit that the Colonel is by far the most punctual driver i have experienced on this route. And the most funniest. hilarious announcement there on the PA. BTW you have some nice german skills there, Colonel. You should send the video to Deutsche Bahn and apply for a job. If i had to say something there i would hire you on the spot. You might want to cut out the part of the derailment though.

Does anyone else experience frustration when watching gamers like this guy ? It was pretty obvious he wasn't to leave before passengers had finished boarding but he left anyway 😂 I think it was the left platform you had to open the doors on. Because when you came through the meter started to fill.

About at 15.33, Captain Failure is trying to get op to Speed for The slingshot effect, also known as the light-speed breakaway factor, was a method of time travel through the use of an artificially-created time warp. This maneuver was performed by traveling at an extremely high warp factor towards a massive body with a high gravitational attraction, such as a star. After allowing the gravitational pull to accelerate the vessel to even faster speeds, the vessel would then break away from the stellar body, creating a whiplash effect which could transport the vessel through time. Performing this maneuver required extremely precise calculations to be made, such as availability of fuel components, acceleration, and mass of a vessel through a time continuum. KIRK: Can we make breakaway speed? SPOCK: Hardly, Admiral, I cannot even guarantee we will escape the sun's gravity! I shall attempt to compensate by altering our trajectory. SULU: Warp eight. Eight point one... Maximum speed, sir! SPOCK: Admiral, I need thruster control. KIRK: Acceleration thrusters at Spock's command! SPOCK: Steady. ...Steady. ...Now! (the 767.2 DAB PBZFA slingshots around the sun)...... 16.19..... (the crew awake from the time-travel) KIRK: Mister Sulu? ...Mister Sulu! ...Mister Sulu. SULU: Aye sir? KIRK: What is our condition? SULU: Sir, ...the braking thrusters have fired. KIRK: Picture, please. ...Earth. ...But when? ...Spock? SPOCK: Judging by the pollution content of the atmosphere, I believe we have arrived at the latter half of the twentieth century. KIRK: Well done, Spock...... And Captain Failure can try again from the point, were he first made a wooopsie..... I like this, hahahahahaha.....

From your professional, unbiased opinion, if a fellow middle aged gentleman was to purchase one of these fine train sims, which one is worth the beer tokens? I would prefer to potter around on UK trains, just to rekindle my early 80's youth i.e trains that smelt of pee and were run by Arthur Scargill types. But since I've managed to get on my son's Steam account I feel an urge to live the dream and drive a train, despite the fact that I'm slightly colour blind, but as you've proved here, speed, signals and general safety are rules worth breaking.

That's a tricky one. My own preference is toward big American freight diesels, despite that being close to treason. The HST line out if Paddington is jolly good and the modelling on the heritage diesel line is just lovely, even if it's a bit slow for my taste. There's a much broader range in Train Simulator than Train Sim World, but it lacks the same level of detail. I've videos on both routes listed above if you want to try before you buy.

While it might not be correct for many services, at the time this route depicts RB 56 ran with that consist. Other trains on the TSW route do operate with full consists.
