How fast can you win a Polytopia game? Polytopia Speedrunning - World Record Progression

You’ve probably heard of Speedrunning for games like SuperMario or SuperMetroid, but did you know there is also a competitive group of Polytopia speedrunners? It’s true.
So how do you speedrun a turn-based strategy game?
This video will show, progression of Polytopia speedrunning, the strategies players use to set new records, and how you can get into the Polytopia speedrunning scene.

To play old versions of the game on steam:
1) Go to your web browser and type steam://nav/console
2) In the Steam console, type Download_depot followed by the app ID, the depot ID and the manifest ID.
Polytopia app ID = 874390. Depot ID for Windows = 874392. Depot ID for Mac = 874391. Besure to separate the numbers with spaces.
For example, to play v51, you would type Download_depot 874390 874392 6289719382553550916
3) Replace the files in the Polytopia Steamapps folder with the old version depot files. Go to the common folder in the steamapps and look for Polytopia. You need to put the old version depot files there. I highly recommend backing up and saving all the files in your current Polytopia folder in a separate folder, so you can put them back later, when you are done playing the old version.
4) Go to Steam and launch the game from your library. The old version of the game will open up and you can play single player mode just like the good old days

I once won a multiplayer game on turn 1 in like 15 seconds, i poly pushed and found his capital then sieged him on turn 1 and he resigned.

I got a speedrun category idea. All superunits any%. Goal is to have all unique superunit as fast as possible. So own a Giant, Dragon, Baby dragon, Dragon Egg, Giant Crab, Centipede, and Gaami. Know what Imma try it.

This game is fun. But having only 4 free civ. from the like 20+ available kinda makes it bland. If I could at least play against the paywalled civs it could make it more enjoyable

20+ avaliable? also if you buy one tribe for 0.99 USD you can play multiplayer against every tribe.

The 4 free tribes are a demo version of the game. You need to purchase at least one tribe to get access to mulitplayer
