Honestly, regarding the overtime stack the cart thing... Part of it is that a lot of people are so untrustworthy with cart time. It's the paranoia of "If I'm not on the cart, they're gonna get off the cart and we're gonna lose". So many games I've lost to people getting off the cart when being trusted with it...

I feel like Emongg’s favorite condiment is definitely ketchup. Big ketchup energy!

there are so many times when this player looks at their critical doomfist and goes "nah you don't need harmony orb, go fuck yourself." like, is it probably going to save doom? maybe not, but you're not even trying to help them. you're choosing to not give them a chance to survive. and you're denying yourself precious ult charge by failing to help your doom. even if they die, that's ult charge for you and an ult that can save fights, rounds, and games. and as zen, you can try to save your tank from relative safety. it costs you NOTHING to at least try to help them. but instead, you just let them die. you really need to work on that.

And the icing on the cake is that healing doesn't even cost you time as Zen. A single flick across your teammate and you are back to dealing damage.

@@zarikster9792 there's actually no incident! at least im terms of the timeout thing. it's a meme based on how emongg is absolutely the last person to have any kind of incident - he's very wholesome, he isn't the type to cause drama, etc. so if you see someone in chat get a message deleted and then a stream bot says something like "don't talk about the incident," it's just a meme for fun.

One of the biggest differences between lower ranks and higher ranks, is two fold: 1. How quickly do you realize there is an issue you need to adapt to? (like your hero/playstyle isn't working with your team) 2. How quickly do you arrive at a workable solution to that issue? like picking Zen instead of Lucio/Kiri) That's in this case evident. You actually arrive at a playmaking decision (swap to Zen and roll enemy) that is multiple skill tiers above silver, but you're still primarily held back by how much time it took you to arrive at this gameplay correction. You are wasting a lot of time, well basically over 75% of the match timer you have available, before you reach the point where you actually make the good play. So the biggest difference between your current rank, and the rank you want to climb towards, is simply put that your troubleshooting process is too slow and you're spending too much time forcing a hand that just isn't playable with the cards on the table (aka your team and the overall synergy between you and them). My advice in how to become better at quick decisionmaking, is to pick just 2 support heroes and main them exclusively, and develop distinct playstyles for each - where they compliment each other's weaknesses. For example Kiri and Zen. Play Kiri in comps where the team dynamic is slower, methodical, and wants to push into the enemy team's frontline. On the opposite side play Zen where your team is high pace, more aggro, and want to play for a lot of space utility. Also pick Zen when you can contribute with more solo carry pressure potential (like when enemy don't use heavy amount of shields or play lots of high grounds etc, or they have direct target players towards you such as Tracer, Sombra, etc). When you have practiced these two very distinct types of playstyles with Zen and Kiri, now every time you're in a match you will be able to much more quickly read the synergy and dynamic of your comp, and make a hero pick+playstyle decision off of it. You will not waste 7/10 minutes per match being stuck on the wrong hero+playstyle, because there will be two sets of playstyles actively engrained into your mind and the knowledge of the strength of each type of playstyle+hero will be clear to you in the blink of an eye, rather than in the span of 3-5 business days.

Honestly, the kiri gameplay looks like more Ana positioning, not perfectly but going on third point in the first round, that’s roughly an Ana spot to help your team from a great sight line

I was told I play passively but I really don’t feel like being aggressive and getting rolled and then we end up losing the point idk how I should play sometimes

Also if there's one thing to remember from these videos - Five people doing the same thing, even if it's "wrong" is better than 4 people doing something wrong and 1 person by themselves doing it "right".

As tracer, I love goin for zen wth pulse bomb since even if I miss, I find zen almost always pops ult once he hears the pulse bomb.

My general rule of thumb is, what can I get away with? Do they have a sombra/tracer? Does my team need help with them or are they doing fine? The space between my team and me is determined on what makes the most sense for our team/map.

Since Sym regen from enemy shields, imagine if she could regen shields with her pistol...rein/sym comps would be fun to see. A personal version of her old concept of shield gen but for shields, not "life shields"

Yeah, that's what i'm seeing. Sure they're passive at kiriko and all that but in the end both team pushed in on overtime. What happens in the second round? Their tank goes deep and dies first in the first 2 fights at the first point and then everyone else in the team but this support proceeds to stagger in and die 1 by 1, giving away the rest of map for free. Then on attack the tank goes all in on overtime for no reason again and its gg.

The way I’ve found success playing kiriko is by shooting three kunai then doing a full volley of heals. That’s usually enough to maintain high damage and healing

it....... really depends. this is going to be a long comment with nuanced thoughts, so prepare yourself lol even though Lucio Zen is meta in GM, top 500, and in tournaments, that doesn't mean it's going to work in your ranked matches. Lucio Zen requires everyone to play differently than they would if they had at least one support who could provide a lot of healing (Bap, Ana, Moira, those kinds of supports). you have to position differently with a low healing support comp. you have to go for health packs and really pay attention to your own HP instead of just assuming your support teammates will take care of it for you. it requires people to play more optimally than most people do in most ranks. in overwatch, a higher amount of healing means people can make more mistakes, basically, and that's much more necessary in lower ranks. I say this as someone climbing through plat rn playing a lot of Moira because most teams will just fall over without a support like Moira rn so, on one hand, your dps have a point. Lucio Zen isn't going to be enough healing in the overwhelming majority of games in the overwhelming majority of ranks. even before season 9, Mercy Zen often wasn't enough healing when I was in gold and plat, although it could still work when the rest of the team understood how to adjust their play style and be a bit more patient. as a Mercy player, I was always so grateful when dps would go soldier or mei and when a tank was able to go JQ or Hog, it really helped me out granted, I think the dps passive will help teams become more self sufficient and less dependent/reliant on healing from their supports. I mean, this was a silver game in season 9 and Zen Lucio worked pretty well, I was genuinely shocked by that. but still, in the overwhelming majority of games for the overwhelming majority of players, a higher amount of healing than Zen Lucio is almost required because most people need to be bailed out by high amounts of healing. btw, I don't say any of this with any judgment for anyone based on their rank or whatever. the highest rank I've ever hit was diamond 3 last season, im currently plat 4, I'm not that good. all of this is just based on my experience of what my teams need from me as a support main. I play support because I want to be what my team needs (not necessarily what they might want, which is especially true right now because not every team is thrilled to have a Moira, regardless of my play style LOL). if my team needs healing, I'm fine with my main contribution being healing and contributing damage/utility during downtime. this is just my experience as a support main who has played in gold 2 all the way up to diamond 3. most of the time, teams just need more healing to make up for the mistakes that are made as you're learning the game.

Seems like this game is a 4vs5 game : when your tank only play a very agressive doomfist and he is facing bastion zen mauga... all we can expect is the game to end fast ; in my opinion, there was no way the kiriko player team would be able to get out the attack spawn with their comp. I do know that people gonna tell me, "you can play what ever you want, composition is not the most important thing in silver"... I still thinks that any other tank would have been better then doomfist in this game.
