How far is Lake Las Vegas | Henderson Nevada | 4k Drive

How far is Lake Las Vegas from the strip, or the airport? I've created a video to address those questions, and I take a 4k drive from Lake Las Vegas in Henderson Nevada down the 215 freeway to Harry Reid International Airport.
Welcome to Lake Las Vegas Life! On this channel, I'm going to talk about and SHOW you the Lake Las Vegas community, as well as the surrounding areas of Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Strip, Lake Mead, and great day trips not too far away. I talk about tips, trips, recommendations, the positives, the negatives, and answer frequently asked questions I see about these areas on the web. I am NOT a Realtor, so I am not trying to sway you towards any one particular builder or community within the Lake Las Vegas area. I've lived in Las Vegas and currently in Henderson / Lake Las Vegas.

May I suggest northwest Las Vegas? There are KB Homes (Kyle Canyon community) and Tri Pointe (Kyle Pointe community) builder. The reason I suggest that is because Las Vegas heat is a turn off for most people moving here and that area is usually 3-6 degrees colder. Then you are just few minutes away to Mt. Charleston and Lee Canyon - amazing places!

Lake Las Vegas has so much to offer many residents being a quiet community and yes only 25 min to the Las Vegas Strip . Also the Westin Lake Las Vegas for a stay vacation for locals or to just visit . 2 large pools with a beach rentals , restaurants , coffee bar and lounge , nice Spa , and good shopping in the lobby .

Try driving it during rush hour traffic. You drove it on a weekend or holiday with low traffic. The time will be doubled or perhaps tripled and no telling how long if there's an accident on I-215 or in the airport tunnel. I avoid I-215 like the plague during rush hour. The Las Vegas Metro area is just as bad as LA during rush hour. I moved here from San Diego on September 1, 1992 and was a county wide public sector employee for almost 20 years. I know the traffic patterns here very well and what to avoid. Everything is too far with current fuel prices. Casinos have a two year period where they can put their license on inactive status. If a casino hasn't reopened by now chances are it won't. Stations Casinos has two other properties that haven't reopened; Fiesta Rancho and Texas Station. I don't expect them to reopen. Casino buffets are pretty much a thing of the past. Only a few on the Strip have reopened which are catered towards tourists, not locals. No Laughlin buffets have reopened. I suspect the casinos that have not reopened will either be sold and either the land repurposed or another entity reopening it as a casino. Things are going to get much worse before they get better. We're on the verge of another depression not to mention what will happen if Lake Mead becomes a dead pool where the lake level gets below the point to where it can't generate power.

Your the first person looking at reality. I can’t figure out how people can’t see they have built Vegas way beyond what was feasible for a huge desert. We have a townhouse out there our business used for trade shows when we were in town. All the trade shows we did are gone. Comdex, NAB, EDS. The electronic trade shows are done. Anyone wanting to move there should do their due diligence. You won’t be able to give homes away if Lake Mead gets any worse.

@@rumproast5159 Lake Mead's level is totally dependent upon the climate. If we don't have enough snowfall in the Rockies then the lake will be operating at a deficit. There has to be enough snowfall in the Rockies to handle water demand for the lake until the next winter. It will take several brutal winters or perhaps an ice age to get Lake Mead full again. Between how our wonderful governor handled C-19, unemployment and the declining water level of Lake Mead, Las Vegas is going to become a ghost town. There should have been building controls put in place years ago. Unless something is done to bring more water to the Las Vegas Valley or Lake Mead, this is the beginning of the end. The construction of the third water intake tunnel was a clue that we have a major water problem and we're in a long term drought condition. Now the Feds may step in and mandate water conservation. Lake Las Vegas never should have been built in the interest of water conservation. There should have been a building moratorium in the interest of water conservation. Any bets that Sisolak has some responsibility for this mess when he was a Clark County commissioner and pushing for development of Clark County which means more water consumption. Simple supply and demand of resources. --- Once Lake Mead becomes a dead pool people will start leaving. Homes will be dirt cheap here as they will be essentially worthless. The Lake Mead Marina is getting to the point to where they can't move it because it's getting close to Rock Island. I expect to see the final Lake Mead boat launch to be closed soon. Anyone with a boat docked at the marina or moored in Lake Mead has pretty much lost their boat as it now can't be taken out of the marina. Only flat bottomed or shallow V bottomed boats below a certain length (24 ft?), hovercrafts and amphibious vehicles can get in and out of Lake Mead now. Anyone with a houseboat on Lake Mead is stuck there for the duration or will have to write it off as a loss or if a boater's insurance will cover it. If the insurance company is smart, they put a weasel clause on boats being ponded. I'm sure insurance companies have actuaries that were calculating when Lake Mead would result in ponded boats then made a change to the policy terms as that was happening.

Hi Keith! I consider taking Galleria the "back way" versus Lake Mead Parkway. When leaving Lake Las Vegas on Galleria, you'll drive for several miles through nice desert scenery with the Wetlands on the right hand side. It's nice! Then you can take it all the way down to Stephanie drive, where it ends. Compared to Lake Mead Parkway, there is less traffic and less stoplights.

Liz, this is not what it sounds like, but I need a woman, a body, just like yours. A fine, sophisticated lady and a friendly one, too, That's my choice you see and since I am quite discriminating with my lady of choice, yes, I am all alone. This is a complimentayr message, Liz, do not forget that.;) Tom Wilson, and yes, I may decide to move to Las Vegas, being quite familiar to this very active city several times in the past 35 years, the last time was 2021. Stay safe, you are a very sharp lady.

BRIEF COMMENT: I MIGHT BE VISITING LLV WITHIN THE NEXT 2 YEARS OR SO. CONTRARY TO WHAT SOME FOLKS SAY, IT'S NOT THAT FAR FROM THE LV STRIP WHICH IS OVERPRICED & SLEAZY IN MY VIEW FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN ON KZread. SUMMERLIN AND/OR HENDERSON OR LLV IS THE PLACE TO BE IN THAT AREA. DEPENDING ON TRAFFIC DURING THE WEEK ( & AT TIMES ON WEEKENDS) THE DISTANCE TO THE LV STRIP IS ABOUT 35-45 MINUTES AWAY, & TO THE HARRY REID INT'L AIRPORT (FORMERLY MCCAREN AIRPORT) IS ROUGHLY 30-35 MINUTES AWAY DEPENDING AS USUAL ON TRAFFIC. LLV IS NOW SO BUILT UP WHY BOTHER GOING TO THE SLEAZY LV STRIP? LLV NOW HAS SHOPPING CENTERS, POST OFFICES, PARKS, THEIR OWN POLICE FORCE ETAL. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A FAMILY ANYMORE LIKE I DO W/LITTLE CHANCE OF ANYONE VISITING YOU AT LLV OR SUMMERLIN OR WHEREEVER, YOUR BETTER OFF JUST STAYING IN THE LLV/HENDERSON/SUMMERLIN AREA WHICH ARE SELF-CONTAINED GATED COMMUNITIES & IT'S VERY QUIET. JUST MY OWN OPINION. THE LAS VEGAS STRIP NEEDS MAJOR CLEANUP OF ITS NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR SLUMS & STRIP SCAM ARTIST ALL OF WHICH ARE BAD FOR CASINO BUSINESS & TOURISM IN GENERAL. THE OUTLYING COUNTIES FOR NOW PREVIOUSLY MENTIONED ARE JUST FINE. BUT THE LV STRIP IS AN OVERPRICED RIPOFF TOWN W/MANY SLEAZY ELEMENTS THAT NEED TO BE ERADICATED OVER TIME. THE 2008-2012 RECESSION WAS BAD ENOUGH FOR VEGAS. THE LAST THING VEGAS CASINOS NEED ARE SLEAZY SCAM ARTISTS & SLUMS JUST A FEW BLOCKS AWAY. LOOK AT ATLANTIC CITY, NJ FOR PROOF OF THAT!
