How electric excavators are helping GRIDSERVE cut carbon in construction

This week, we opened our latest Electric Super Hub at Moto Scotch Corner featuring 12 x 350kW-capable High Power EV chargers. During construction, this site on the A1(M) was also home to a fully-electric excavator trial, using a Volvo ECR25 Electric to dig the trenches for all the power banks, transformers, charging units and cabling that makes this new Electric Super Hub operate seamlessly. Traditionally, this is work that has been performed by diesel-powered machinery, but we're delighted to show that electrified construction equipment is a reality now, too.

Very good. It's just a shame that Gridserve is woefully behind in the quantity of chargers that are being installed compared to the Tesla chargers being installed. If Tesla can put in 16+ chargers at a site, so should Gridserve, or you will be pushed out of the market.
Put a canopy over the chargers and parking bays, covered with solar panels, so users don't get rained on, & perhaps a small turbine up too. Missed opportunity and lack of forethought. . 🙄
