    That’s the only good thing about having a battery powered mower, you can mow at any time. My neighbor has one and usually mows around 7a and I don’t even hear or notice him. I personally wouldn’t fire up my gas engine until 8a or so since it’s so loud and obnoxious

    You are correct. That is a win for the silent e mowers. I spoke with the neighbor later that morning and he was laughing. Said they have a fan running and can't even hear me so...I'm good! You are right though, except in "emergencies", I wouldn't mow before 8am.

    My rule of thumb has always been 9AM it is totally fine. Earlier depending on situation like rain is coming. I grew up with a neighbor who worked nights so I always tried to start up later so he could get sleep. Now I have an electric mower. I could mow at any time and short of hitting something none of my neighbors would know unless they looked out the window and wondered what that idiot was doing now.

    Sorry if I missed it, but will combining the two fungicides make them last longer? Also, how many fungicide applications do you apply per year? One last question, when should it be applied? When the air temp and humidity both equal 150°? Thanks for your help and as always, love the videos. Great work!

  • @MrFergusonLawn

    @MrFergusonLawn

    So combining them won't make them last longer. The magic number is 28. For whatever reason, most last 28 days, so you want to reapply prior to that, say day 25 or so. Per year depends on a lot of factors, but probably the biggest for us is money/product. The biggest threat of fungus is this time of year, until late summer/early fall. The warm temps, warm soil temps, and moisture is the issue. Once we get in the cooler fall temps, I typically stop my treatments then. So for me, I apply every 25 days for around 6 months, give or take. Hope that helps.

    I've been using a granular fungicide, but I'm thinking about getting into spraying it just so I don't have to do multiple applications of different granular products. Do people usually use a different spray tank outside of their normal spray tanks like for herbicides or is it ok to use these liquid fungicides in your usual spray tanks for everything else?

  • @MrFergusonLawn

    I have one sprayer for all things. You just need to clean it out with water after each spray, and ensure you do it each and every time. No matter what. You don't want anything drying in it or sticking, or staining. I've had no issues doing this. Good time to be shopping for a sprayer too. GCI just announced the 3.0 version of great Flowzone sprayers if you are interested. It's reliable and worked well for me. God bless! Here is a link to one, but the 3.0's are out of stock for now. bit.ly/3Lk8f83

    I say 7 is fine to start mowing. You own the property and it’s not before daylight. Normally for me in NC, the grass is too wet at 7am. I would say it’s no diff if you worked nights and and people mowed late in the evening waking you up.

    @@MrFergusonLawn well, you are certainly welcome to hang onto gas equipment, I will never ditch my gas pressure washer, but mowers is the opposite story for me. I will never go back to gas. I have a 40v dual blade self propelled mower, capable of mulching bagging and side discharge that regularly rips through the same size yard you have with matching electric weed Wacker, edger, blowers, snow blower and auger. Mulches soo finely it practically pulverizes the clippings. They also have waaayy better ones, zero turns, reel mowers with all the attachments you can dream of, double wide mowers and commercial grade electric mowers able to do acres upon acres a charge. If you look, you'll find one that easily over performs your most demanding mowing needs. Some get pricey but the idea that the technology isn't there is simply not true anymore. I can't wait for some of the 80v ryobi stuff that'll be coming out this summer so that I can have an excuse to upgrade and give my mower to my little bro. It's lovely never having to pull the cord on my mower and listen to it blaring right in my ear the whole time, let alone my neighbors. I simply toss my batteries on the charger when I'm done, never worry about running out of gas. The technology is way over and above the needs of any residential mowing.
