@@belleerin3637 And I'm calling it now: His dad was Erik Zimen, the Swedish behavioural biologist, who studied canines by infiltrating their packs and living with them. He lived with packs of European grey wolves in Germany and Italian wolves in Italy (those are 2 different subspecies of wolf, which are both used to produce wolfdogs with German shepherds). Then, for comparison, Erik lived with a pack of poodles.

I love how wholesome the golden is, how laid back the lab is, how controlling the Doberman is (total toxic relationship),how the Jack Russel has has no interest in his partner, and that the poodle tries to be supportive. Just lovely. So good.

I went on a first date with a Great Dane guy who was EXACTLY like that. 6'9", chill surfer vibes. He even said "sup?" in that exact same way. 😂 Funnily enough, that was the second freakishly tall person I ever dated. (The first was 6'7")

I have a full Chow and a Chow mix. They're well socialized and tolerant of hoomans that are not me, but have limited patience for kids. "Yeah, he doesn't want you to pet him anymore. Please, walk away. No, don't chase him. Hello??? Get your child, please."

@@lizcollinson2692 it's the behavior of the children, really. My sister successfully raised two babies with Chows. My niece had "her own" first Chow as a toddler. But kids tend to be impulsive, and unpredictable to dogs. Chows just don't tolerate "mistreatment" and kids running, screaming, grabbing, pulling, startling, etc, can test a Chow's limits. In another branch, my sister in law's Chow bit her own daughter. Not living with the Chows every day, she arrived at mom's and ran to hug the fluffy Chow, surprising the dog and resulting in a bite. They don't have good peripheral vision because of the mane around the face, and more so with the "closed face" Chows (wrinkled, pushed in faces). Add an intolerance for BS, a mostly low-key energy level, and a fairly defensive nature that creates a great guarding dog, and you get a dog with low tolerance for (most) children. It's true of a number of other breeds as well. Again, the one niece who had her own Chow and grew up with three in their home is actually incredible with animals of every kind. Her mom also was very good at teaching her children how to behave with the dogs. ❤️ But I love that Jonny so perfectly represented that. 🤣🤣🤣 And as a Chow mom who has similar low tolerance for most kids I feel it.

These are actually doing a service by helping people better envision the needs of different breeds so they don’t end up surrendering or mistreating them. The fun vibe is more likely to catch those who won’t sit down and ask these questions before impulsively acquiring pets. Thank you, good sir.

As someone who has had labs, a dane, a Jack Russell, corgis, A border collie and 2 corgis, (not at the same time and lived on a farm) you have the breeds down to a science. Love your stuff!

As a cat owner, I suspect that greyhounds are actually cats. I've seen them groom themselves like a cat, they sleep all day, they don't bark, strong prey drive, and very speedy. Greyhounds also jump up on the counter. Cats.

The Westie one made me laugh. My mother actually has a Westy. It’s one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet, but it does have a lot of attachment issues.

Working with dogs I I can assure you this is 💯 hilariously accurate! That westie, spot on! Please please please if there is a sequel to this, do the Dachshund and the Chihuahua! 😂🐶🐶

Having had 6 Great Danes your depiction of them is spot on. When I’m sitting down they come up to me and just stand looking at me. Of course they are taller than I when I’m sitting. They have a nonchalant demeanor and a “what’s up” attitude. Please do more Great Dane videos… suggestions…. a Dane sitting on a couch with you and cuddling, a Dane drinking water after which it shakes its head, a Dane greeting you with their tail, giving you the love lean, and owner having to clean the Dane slobber off the walls and ceiling.

Staffy: sits on your lap for the whole date, eats half your dinner and then grabs you around the legs and cries "don't leave me!" when it's over.

If im sleeping hes on or touching me..and unless its a child..he acts like he will eat you alive. @@ruffianoo you’ve met polite huskies! Mine would eat any human food. She would steal from children. Whenever we went skiing, she would run off in the parking lot. She usually went for families who delighted by such a friendly pretty dog. We learned the hard way that she needed to be collected before she stole the children’s food from their hands. She wasn’t exactly careful with her teeth.

The golden is my favorite 😂. You really understand dogs and dog behavior, but you make it so relatable and funny. Love it❤

Love this idea! Please let the Golden retriever find love. Scratch that. Let them ALL find love. But especially that Golden. Maybe make few "disaster dates" and then match up the best breeds, most needy, most lovable. And definitely make an aggressively protective chihuahua fall in love with a gigantic dog (I dunno, a Saint Bernard?) that puts up with it because she thinks it's cute.

Thank you for doing a Westie. Westies are loving and loyal, but they are independent. There is a saying that describes them perfectly when they’re in an independent mood: “I hear you. I’m not listening”. They will take the lead if you don’t and they don’t realize how small they are. They are big dogs in small bodies. Also, they are intelligent and you can see them trying to work things out for themselves. They are also protective of their family, but are very social if they are well-socialized. Love your videos💖✨💫

Very funny! The retriever is so accurate - very needy dogs. (The greyhound is really a couch potato, sleep being their main activity of the day - they just look like they spend their days at the gym) Love these films.

Love this. You nailed the Jack Russell....all mine have been easily distracted and very independent. Chill lap dogs they are not unless they go into power-down mode. Part of the charm of the breed, but it takes an owner who understands that.

I spent about 40 years as a clerk in a pet supply chain of stores, after an early career as a zookeeper, so I read a lot about dogs and met a lot of them over the years in my stores and in rescue. I absolutely love your videos and click on every one I see. The dogs I have actually had as family pets were a sort-of-Cavalier-looking--mix, a golden retriever, and two dachshund mixes.

Love these portrayals♥️ A chihuahua would snap at the waiter when he tried to remove her empty plate, even if there was only one pea left on it (that she didn’t want). Then look at her date all innocently while shaking. Flip that switch!

I would love to see you do a Belgium malinois (charming thrill junkie that may or may not do cocaine), Chihuahua (the one you are SURE has an undiagnosed mental health issues they are completely unaware of), American pit bull terrier (so fully centered on you it makes you uncomfortable), Corgi (they all about that base, ALL trouble), and cocker spaniel (so polite and sweet, but terribly shy) 😂!

My Golden Retriever boy gets so offended when we don't let him put his paw on our arm during couch potato time. Today he physically got off the couch to go lay on the floor and gave a mighty pouty grumble at us, his back end facing us. They are all about that touchy-feely stuff lol.
