@@DEATHMONSTER87 lol no. I've had several pets growing up. The pain of losing a one never truly fades, but the joy of a new one to add to my ranks of loyal companions is always great. I still remember them all. Marlee I taken before his time, Marlee II who we moved heaven and earth to keep alive, Chico, the one we had to give a new home when we moved, Lady, the goodest girl who loved crayons, Chase who unfortunately passed far far too soon, Miss Fortune the Snapping Turtle.... sorry I didn't what pH was as a child, Scott the stray cat who just decided he didn't wanna come to our house anymore, and lastly Castor, the kitten I found crying in the woods and who went from so hungry he bit my finger and drew blood to sleeping in my jacket on the way to the animal shelter, I never received a notice of him being put down so I assume he found a good home. I loved them all. I still think about them. Still miss the days when a knock at the door was followed half a second later by scrabbling on tile and manic barking, when I had a fuzzy neck pillow, when I was excited to come home from school. Love you all. May we meet again.

yup, perhaps start out with a pre-golden age humanity where you spread out.... and then the age of strife hits.... bam, you now get a random colony to try and keep alive, and then up to 40k-era stay intact.

I'd imagine decades if there's still an atmosphere. A planet is a hell of a lot of mass to try return to a stable environment. On our own planet there's plenty of patches of it we have made completely unusable and that won't be viable for a long time.

A pet passing away is the worst part of having a pet. May your memories of Leroy forever be a blessing.

1:40 we know that admech is sometimes interested in Tau tech. We have example of AdMech taking that Tau weather control station and dismantling it for research. Also in the Last chancers book we see that AdMech took note of Tau battle domes and made their own version and made it even better by making it onboard of starship, allowing troops to train for deployment while in transit in warp (showing how AdMech is more than capable of outclassing Tau when they want to)

I think it also helps that, in many ways, the actions of the Imperium don't require, or support, a healthy, verdant world; they almost all get trashed to some extent, and humanity has already demonstrated that it can survive, and even thrive, on some of tbe worst, most benighted, world's, so the extent that the Imperium needs to go to, to reclaim a lost world, is likely less than we might otherwise imagine.

An overview of every Faction's navies and ships would be interesting! Also love the puppy c:

There is a case of a Daemon world being permanently destroyed. Unfortunately, said world had been destroyed by a disgruntled Word Bearer, and he knew the planet inside out, having been the one who discovered the world in the first place. The Imperium… probably doesn’t get to repeat his actions.

In the most recent Caul book he said that he was actually working on plans on how to reclaim and terraform former Tyranid worlds , from what i remember he said it wouldnt even be that hard.

In one of the dark imperium books, Captain felix and the indomitus fleet he's part of attack a planet with a fuck off huge chaos portal. After the portal was closed, they bulldozed the landscape around where the portal had been, laid down tarmac and built a fortified wall around the tarmac area, all the guns on the wall pointed inwards at the spot where the portal had been and an entire chapter was formed from the unnumbered sons of russ to guard the world. The ring fort became their fortress monastery and their duty is basically to be a first line of defence in case the portal reopens. After a few hundred years maybe the world will be deemed safe enough to colonise and cities may spring up around the outside of the wall

Firstly your new pup is very adorable Major, but also I am very sorry for your loss. Also is it weird I am now picturing your adorable pupper being in some sort of space wolves pet cosplay? Not sure how it would work but it amuses me immensely to think of it. As for Nurgle's being the hardest makes sense. Berserker that wants your skull...shoot it in the head. Hey MajorKill. Long-time fan here. Wanted to pass some good thoughts your way for Leroy. Chad dog for a Chad Australian. It always hurts when one passes, but like you said, it's the silent contract we sign with our dogs. Food, clean water, roof over their head and lots of love. In exchange they'll live and die for us with loyalty that would SHAME the hardiest Guardsman. It just sucks when their contract expires

1:06 Ouch. But it's true. Currently got a 31kg Lurcher next to me, Bulldog Greyhound cross. He pretty much caused me to break my hand a couple months back due to an accidental chicken leg leading to a bad grab of a kitchen counter for balance.
