So in practice there are four power centres in the EU, London, Paris, Berlin, and Brussels (representing the other 25 member countries). Shifting from 4 to 3 centres of power will be a quite significant power shift.

In most countries the parliament does not propose law. The EU just removed the official ability for them to do so. It's based on efficiency and clarity, not tradition. Furthermore, member states would never want the parliament to be able to propose laws. Right now the only ones who can propose laws are the Commission, if approved by the member states, and the member states themselves bypassing the Commission.

This is actually rather Inaccurate and extremely Misleading... 1. The European Commission does not Propose or Decide on Laws. Your Explanation Suggests that the Commission. (Which is not an Elected Body of the EU) Would have the Power to basicly Suggest Legislation itself. However its Part of the Executive. Not the Legislative. It does not have the Power to Suggest or Propose Laws itself. It "Writes" Laws. Upon Request by the Elected Government Members. The European Commission is the Civil Servants of the EU. When Laws are Proposed or Considered by the Parliament of the EU or the Council of the EU. The Commission will then Write these Laws in Accordance with Legal Procedure and Expert Knowledge on the Single Aspects of the Law. It is then Send back to the Party which Requested it to be Submitted as an actual Proposal for a Law so it can be Voted upon. 2. When you say the European Parliament is the only Body in the EU which is Directly Representing the People then this is Partially Wrong and very Misleading. Because it Suggests to People that only the European Parliament is Elected. However this is not the Case. The European Council are the Leaders of each Member Country and have a Voting Power Relative to the Countries which they Represent. As all of these Countries are Democracies. All of these are Elected. Same goes for the Council of the European Union which consists of the Ministers of each Country and thus of Members of this Countries Elected Parties. Meaning that actually All 3 of the Main Decision Making Bodies of the EU. Are Elected by EU Citizens. And are either in Direct or Indirect Representation of the EU Population.

The European Commission is elected in the same way the UK government is elected. People vote for a party. The leading candidate of the winning coalition becomes president, and picks the cabinet. It can absolutely propose law. The European Council sets forward a policy agenda which the European Commission implements by writing legislative proposals. Those are sent to European Parliament who approves, rejects or amends the law. It is then sent to the Council, who does the same. This back and forth continues one more time, after which if there is no result, the is rejected automatically. In some areas of policy the European Parliament is circumvented and does not get to vote. Only the member states vote in this case. Since 2009 the Parliament has the right to demand a legislative proposal from the Commission within a time frame. The Commission can ignore this, however since the parliament has the right to disband the Commission and elect a new one, there are risks involved for the Commission to ignore a demand for a proposal.

@@JBinero I don't know if you mean the European council or the council of the EU but neither of them has a formal right to propose legislature. They can only ask the commission to do so similarly to the parliament. Of course it is virtually impossible for the commission to ignore such requests (in most cases), but still, only the commission has the right of initiative.

@@Endermankiller The EU Council is the shortened version of the Council of the European Union. In general though, often just "Council" is used since they are both so intertwined it doesn't always make sense to think of them as seperate. The EU-Council absolutely can propose legislation on its own, bypassing all other institutions, but the needed majority is a super qualified majority. A regular vote would only require a regular qualified majority.

If your country is a "member state" of the EU, your laws are subject to the Primacy of European Union law, and that is an EU law principle that when there is conflict between European law and the laws of member states, European law prevails, and the norms of National law must be set aside. It gives them power over you. The European Court of Justice is there to enforce that power, using the Primacy rule. They intend to become a federal European Superstate.

Norway is the largest shareholder of mining company denounced for contamination in the Amazon. The Norwegian government, responsible for harsh criticism of environmental policies in Brazil is the main shareholder of the mining company Hydro, the target of denouncements by the Federal Public Ministry (MPF) of Pará and of almost 2 thousand lawsuits for contamination of rivers and communities in Barcarena (PA), a municipality located in one of the most polluted regions of the Amazon rainforest. 840 Billion Dollars are stolen every year in Brazil by foreign countries, just in oil. The Norwegian Minister of Finance has just announced the profit of 120 billion dollars in 2022, which will increase to 138 billion dollars in 2023, in oil. Half of that profit is from Brazilian oil. That goes to Norway, for nothing, even without paying taxes to the Brazilian State. Everything is camouflaged and manipulated to hide, deny and even encourage an increase in theft, which is why the countries that most destroy the environment put pressure on the Brazilian Amazon. Because it has huge oil reserves and they have already destroyed almost all of its forests and now they want the rest of the Brazilian wealth. Say what they say, the Amazon still exists today, which would not have happened if it had been explored by the French, Israelis, Americans, Dutch, or English. The Norwegian Royal Family Member, Erling Sven Lorentzen, married with princess Ragnhild, sister of king Harald V of Norway, attacked and robbed the lands of the Amazonian Indians Tupinikim and Guarani, his company planted more than 1 million hectars of eucaliptus and left the natives without land and later without any water. In addition to facing lawsuits, the Hydro company has yet to pay fines stipulated by Ibama in the amount of R$ 17 million, after an overflow of toxic mud in rivers by one of its subsidiaries in the Amazon region, in 2009. According to Ibama, the spill placed the local population at risk and generated "fish kills and significant destruction of biodiversity". But all so called rich countries are stressing for destroying all the Amazon forest, because their ego is so rotten that they still prefer money, coins and material units to buy garbage and plastic toys, than life. After destroying all their own natural resources, they dont want that Brazil keep being the only country in the world who still have a big forest, because it wasnt transformed in money, like rich countries have done!

yes, it is a transnational organization, and can I theory do that. but when laws are made all the states can implement them/ Enterperate them the way they want. just recently Norway found out that it had laws contradictory to EU law, and had punished people according to Norwegian law (which was unlawful according to EU law). then Norway had to pay fines to the people affected because what it did wasn't allowed.

I think it should be investigated if the European Union now and then is legislated with the Bible written as a story. The word immunity (Latin immunitas, freedom from obligations to the state) comes from a religious revelation from the middle ages, most likely from a pope to become lawless, and which has since been rewritten into full immunity, personal and functional immunity (legally, cannot be prosecuted for criminal act) to the kings (head of state), presidents, and prime ministers, for law decisions and actions. The political exploitation of the vital ecosystem has now led to forest death (force majeure) and how will it affect people's economy, etc.
