How Does An Orchestral Trumpeter Sound When Sight Reading?

Фильм және анимация

Sight reading is an important skill to develop. It can be a part of important auditions, and it can serve to make learning a lot of music significantly easier. Unfortunately, sight reading is rarely enjoyable to do. So let's talk about it. In this video, I'm going to walk through what I try to think about while sight reading, some things I wish I would have done better, and show you exactly what it sounds like, bad notes and all. I hope you enjoy!

Try a little Clifford Brown for sight reading.200 bpm is a goal to strive for.

This gives me hope of landing an orchestral job in the near future. Consistent sound throughout the registers though for the most part!

Duhem is the composer. I can’t remember the title exactly. Melodic studies or something close.
