How Does a Repaired RV Wall Look?
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
It's back together and finished. This is the last in the wall series. I try to focus on the ends and outs of sealing the wall and what we did to re-laminate this 2006 Winnebago Journey.
Thanks for watching.

Absolutely AMAZING GREAT WORK !!! You and Chad are artists. You apply both art and science in getting it done properly..

Very educational series. Thanks for the indepth education on how they put this together and issues all manufactures deal with in different ways. They try to make them as light and "pretty" as they can which is not always the most sturdy. Thanks again. Stay safe and healthy.
It's not if it leaks. It's when it leaks😮 great job

I was laughing about three minutes in when the new wall and logo went up because before I even clicked on the video I thought…they must be doing more Winnebago work. You have definitely made me remove any winne’s from my RV search. Totally sold me on a Beaver though. Winnebago, oh how the mighty have fallen.

Awesome job gentlemen!! I appreciate the attention to detail as that repair will last a long time. Well worth the cost to repair and get more life out of the RV. Otherwise, people would just sell it and give the new owner a real headache.

Good work! And proves to me that I made a wise choice purchasing a travel trailer built with Azdel sidewalls! I’ve seen way to many Travel trailers, 5th wheels, Class C’s & A’s with de-lamination due to water damaged luan walls & caps.🤦🏻♂️ Question is...why don’t owners regularly check seals ALL over their units? Cheaper to replace cracking/loose seals than having this kind of work done! Happy travels to all.
Awesome job!!

You're much better man than I as that is one heck of a job to take on. I have to say your repair is more than likely better than what that RV left the factory with. Doing things the right way isn't always fun but I promise everyone doing it right the first time is more fun than having to redo your own work let alone someone else's work...
Thanks for taking the time to show me what I might attempt on my 94 Winnebago Vectra 35rq diesel pusher this summer. I was wondering what it might look like, but I kind of figured it would just be work and lots of it. Thanks again, great channel!

This is my second time watching this video, and makes me want to work harder inspecting my RV for leaks. Amazing how just two or three small holes can cause so many problem. Absolutely great job. Very detailed explanation. A note about sealant compatibility. I notice you use silicone and urethane. Where the two types contact each other, you need to be careful. After 40 years as a commercial glazier, I learned that silicone will bond to urethane, but urethane will NOT bond to silicone. Learned this through compatibility tests and failed window installations. Amazing the amount of labor involved in this project. Again, great job!!

We do the same thing when we're on Saul quarry, on, but we use denatured alcohol. So we put nice clean beads on and it doesn't So it doesn't stick to the Cory on where we don't want it. Looks good bud

Another great job James.. better than factory looks like to me.. only so much you can do.. What sealant do you recommend to seal screws etc on a painted steel roof on my Wanderlodge? I need to re-install the track for my awning its coming loose and I will need to seal it and also a bunch of other holes in the roof where screws mount the aluminum decking on the roof.
Amazing work. Man those rv are so problematic
@AZExpert

Yes they are
The seams at the slide look like they’re always going to be a problem. 🤔 You may have to take temp readings with a laser to monitor those areas going forward.
Older video but most informative! Too bad, I never came across your channel, be it a bit late. I would have tackled our older Georgie Boy and repaired the de-lamination properly. In many ways the GB was a better motor-home than the new Jayco we bought.
