Are you ready to replace your tires, but aren't sure if they are completely worn out? Not sure how to tell when they are ready to replace? Here are 2 different ways to tell if they are ready to replace.
My name is Canaan Manley and I am the proprietor of Basin Motorsports. let me start by saying nobody can see the top of abes head because abe is upside down 🤣
Wear bars are at 2/32nds and tires lose water displacement at 4/32nds. I would go with the quarter unless I live in Arizona
Old tires get cracked and the steel belt's inside can brake. A five-year-old tire is an old tire and can be dangerous at high speeds on the highway. Especially in front very dangerous.

@@artemiscrest6593 oh. Your saying it's the sun light that does the most damage. I guess I've had bad luck with old worn out tires in the sun. Also edge wear. People hide the edge worn tires on the inside and sell there cars to me. I'm so dumb

When your wear indicators between the tread are starting to contact the road, you should replace them. That shows your tread depth is low
I don't get it, is this tire ready to be replaced or not?

The tire in the video was not down to the wear indicators, so it does not need to be replaced yet.

Yes. One was on a vehicle. The other wasn't and easier to show the tread.

I’m in South Africa , we don’t have Abe, we have buffaloes, Springboks, and protea flowers for our coins 😭😭 Just joking great help

Back when digital currency wasn't the norm, most people carried change in their pockets. Abe's head as a measuring tool made sense.
