Em hasn't charged for a verse for years he just won't do songs with people he doesn't rock with. Mostly he just does trade offs, song for song type shit.

Krizz is one of the most talented, under appreciated dudes. He's been with Tech for a long time. Amazing singer.

The sample used for this song and the chorus structure are based on a song called “Freedom” my richie havens. So they used the song as a sample and called it “Speed-om”.

Tech is from Kansas City, Missouri.. Pretty sure he still lives there. It's where the Strange Music recording studio is. And if you're interested, he has apparently done a lot to try to improve the city. I don't know all the details, but I know he puts a lot of money and effort into creating jobs, improving neighborhoods, providing programs for kids, and a lot of other stuff that I can't think of right now. The bottomline here is that he's one of those few artists who uses their success to help others.

Tech has billboards up around KCMO. We see them often. He's well known for being in KCMO, even talks about it a lot in his songs. Although he also does call it "the Zou' " . It's a whole Missouri/Mizzou shortened to 'Zou'. I don't know why. I don't make the rules.

Speedom is a play on Freedom... And the sometimes I feel line in the chorus is a sample off of that song freedom by Richie Havens. He was the first performer at Woodstock and this is the song he played to finish his set I believe as he walked away at the end of it still singing and hollering and being tripped the F out on acid.

I was hoping you would do this one. This song is by far a crazy example of talent that literally left my brain like a fried egg for days after I heard it 😂 😂

They should call reacting to this the “Speedom Challenge”, lol. Good luck! I recommend “Schizophrenia” by Krizz Kaliko. It definitely has chopping but a lot of beat change ups so it’s not so insane as Speedom does your brain. Which is ironic because the song is named: Schizophrenia. It’s actually a pretty funny song IMO and he did it live on SWAY I think. But either way hearing it live was impressive as hell, too. For Speedom: You just need to enjoy the beat and leave the lyrics alone until you’ve heard it 100 times. 🤣🤣🤣

So I added it to a playlist and realized later it was one of the dudes from Speedom. Which completely made sense. I don’t know why but I just really like the song. And I need to move past it and check out some more of his music!🤣✌️💚🙏

Yep. He makes a lot of songs about KCMO. Including that song, but B.I.T.C.H he said “from Missouri” list others from St. Louis and said “Kansas City, somewhere over the rainbow”. And of course red kingdom for our Chiefs. My wife actually worked at Zerega, across the street from Techs studios in Lees Summit. So I’ve seen it multiple times. Cool as shit to see

The chorus is from Richie Havens - Freedom, Basically a freestyle he did as the opening act at the original Woodstock he played for hours as the next act were yet to arrive. Look it up he's soaked to the bone in sweat from preforming everything he had then improvising.

So the title of Speedom came from them sampling Richie Haven's song Freedom (played at Woodstock). Which in Tech's first verse he drops that hint "I said to Seven (the producer) Richard Havevns'll be the man" And although this may seem fast (syllables per second wise) it is not. Eminem raps quite a lot faster on Godzilla, which is his fastest verse to date.

I was just sitting here.... waiting to see the look on your faces ...when you got to Eminems verse! You did not disappoint! lol. Techs from Kansas City, Missouri. No need to break it down...lol. No one can! Not just listening for the first time! You guys are great! Took it like champs!

Tech N9ne's halftime performance at the AFC Championship game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City got him a little push, but he's been a legend in KC,MO for many years. Tech is the most humblest rapper out there hands down. 90% of the time if he has a feature with an artist he’ll go first and let everyone go after him.
