How Do These Artists Have Millions of Streams on Their First Song?
Ойын-сауық
I wanted to take a look at these artists who only have one song out yet they have millions of streams? Is something suspicious going on or are they really blowing up?

A friend of mine has over a million streams on his only song on Spotify, he blew up on TikTok playing an acoustic version of his song before it released and it got noticed by David Dobrik, which built him a lot of hype for the song. After it released I'm pretty sure it got put on a couple spotify curated playlists after it dropped.

Always 3 reasons: 1) They know someone in the music industry and they get placed in big playlists without any merit or effort 2) They pay a lot of money for playlist placements, ads and marketing 3) They get lucky and get picked up by spotify editorial team. That can easily push your song to over 1M streams in no time.
i loveeee the idea of this series and will be excited to see more !!

You can buy 3 million soundcloud plays for $120. EDIT: It's actually $70 now. Also, don't buy fake streams. Invest that money into legitimate playlists and promotion - this is the only way you'll develop a legitimate audience and fanbase.

a lot of artists clear their profile once they get the one song that blows up
@Joseph.Gallardo
3 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by "clear their profile"?
@renjpy1006
3 жыл бұрын
@@Joseph.Gallardo when a label pushes an artist that hasn’t blown up yet, they tend to wipe out their Spotify pages so the one song they’re promoting gets maximum exposure, their old songs don’t match their current vibe, etc. You can see that with multiple artists, take the kid laroi for example. I remember when he first did the song “Let it Go” with Cole Bennett. It was the only song on his Spotify, because the label wanted to expose that song as much as possible. The evidence is soundcloud. No one makes money off of soundcloud so labels don’t wipe their pages on that platform, and you see how he has a shit on of music way before releasing “let it go”.
Bruh the whole water thing is not only great advice but it cracks me up every time. But your constant music related advice earned my subscription

CJ’s uncle has music industry connections. That’s how he was pushed but obviously all this info was known when he first blew up
Akademiks spoke about this. The song is good. But labels pay and make moves to get specific songs onto Apple and Spotify editorial playlists. That's how they blow up. Others songs can be just as good but they don't have a label pushing to get the song onto editorial playlists
Just want to say, I appreciate your content!

Great video, very informative, thanks.
whooptys on tiktok lol the trend was used for a trend made by polo boy
2:52 how did you see their top cities?
Being an Indie musician, I feel your pain Patrick. I believe a good many artists have a fast track to the editorial playlists, especially if they are signed. I learned managed and singed artists pay a fee for radio campaigns through "spin companies" who have close ties to the DJ's that have radio shows and play their type of music. I checked the local "spin company" here, and the select artists they represent and their music definitely gets prioritized treatment by the DJ's no matter how good the release of another musician is.
Interesting video concept, pj
