You did your best to help as much as you could, I feel for the daughter because of what might happen I still hope she will get better they are a beautiful family. The daughter is so happy and seems oblivious of moms dire condition! Just like me when.my mum was sick with cancer and I was 15, your mum is invincible or so kids think! I.pray for mum and this little cute bubbly girl to have her mum stick around!

Troy, she gets worse quickly, if she stays at home she won't survive long. she needs to be taken to hospital urgently, maybe medical feeding and treatment can save her.

Did Phung even seek out any medical treatment with the money last time ? This is like the story of God sending a boat for the drowning man 3 times and the man saying God will save him. Later in heaven, God says " I sent you a boat 3 times."

I used to live in Cambodia and a liter of paint cost me around $8 or so, can't remember, but you would need 5L minimum for a room. Paintbrushes and rollers $5 (that's cheap as hell), plus you need to render that brick wall.. Simple foam mattress is $40, not much space for a bed frame so don't worry, and some warm lightbulbs are another $10 or so.. don't know why but they love using industrial-style white lightbulbs which just adds to the miserable atmosphere... So, you can do it on the cheap for $100 or properly for $500 and up. A wardrobe is also desperately needed...

Troy why dont you offer to bring her to the hospital, the bills and medicine can be payed with the donations you gave them, Im sure more people would donate to help her illness. Clearly they arent bringing her to the hospital themselbves, maybe they are afraid of using the money incorrectly, but they need a push! She's going to die if she doesnt get help/brought to the hospital. Could you try talking to them about this?

I think that the case of vi's mom it the most followed by your viewers and the most touching to the heart its like a challenge more we want her be healthier but i think she have to make some effort too and she have to focus only in her health its the priority.and i think that she have to stay in hospital for some days and dont leave the time his health will be good if she can to do that . we think at vi too and hope donors can do more for her next days and thanks for all the viewers that help this family and neighbour there

“the” high point? More accurately, “a” high point. Poor people aren’t suffering all the time; they too live and experience moments of deep joy all throughout their lives.

Me and my wife have always wanted a daughter. I wish that we could come to Vietnam and adopt 2 daughters in age of 14 year old and give them a good life here in America. But we are in our 60s and no one will bless us with children. I feel so sorry for the poor in Vietnam. As well as all over the world.

Thanks for the update Troy! What kind of health problem does she have? She mentioned something about her ❤️ and having trouble talking.

Although not all of us outside of your filming area can do much to help, we can all offer a prayer for this family and that poor woman laying on the floor. That YG is so cute but you got to wonder how long she can keep her beautiful looks in such sad conditions.

Troy - don't worry about always showing the 'Happy' ending case. We all know real life isn't like that. Just think - If Vi hadn't got her bag tangled in her bike chain at the moment you were driving down the street you and we might never have known the situation. As it is, if Phun is beyond medical help ( and something she said in previous video makes me think she herself certainly believes that to be the case) we can still do very important stuff in finding a way that she knows Vi's future is secured before she passes. I wouldn't be surprised if she has been refusing treatment because she believs she is beyond help, and would rather save the money to help her family when she has passed. I think we should try and do everything possible to give her that. Please take measures to safeguard yourself Troy. This sort of work takes an enormous cumalitive strain on you. Let us know if there is ever anything you need from us. Keep up the excellent work, but stay safe.

Sorry but it looks like they take advantage of the sick lady. Likely take away the money you gave her and definitely no one cares for her including her own husband. The best would be to take her out of there and place her in some care facility before she passes. This is life and death situation.

My family left Vietnam when I was three. I don't speak Vietnamese well but words can't describe the misery of the poor.

I thought you gave them money specifically for her treatment in another video. Because she said the other money was being used for schooling for Vi. Maybe I missed something, but did she ever go talk to a doctor? Is Vi really planning on going to school? Can you fill in the gaps for us?

A rather long comment, but it's my first. So, Troy, Vi needs a helmet next so she's safer on her parent's motorbike or her bike(s). I started a program in the States where I got bicycle stores to donate bike helmets to children in need. It all started when I saw a family of four children riding their bikes from one city to another city for school, but only the youngest one, a girl, had a helmet. The oldest, a boy, said his family had one helmet that was passed down from sibling to sibling so the youngest child at least had a helmet. I wanted to get helmets for the siblings who didn't have ones. A moment of 'fate' can cause a need to be realized, options to be revealed and assistance provided to help a few people at first and then many people to follow. God (yes, I understand not everyone believes in a higher being) is great and, in my case so were the owners of bicycle shops. I wanted lives to be improved and, maybe, saved if children had an accidental fall or collision. What a nice family. I hope after watching videos, I have the names correct. Vi really seemed so happy about the bike and going to school in a past video. Helping them with food, medicine and schooling is so great. In another video, Pheong, the mother, said she didn't know people cared; she was so truly grateful, cried and wanted to give money back due to your 'trouble.' Even having little, the family shared a gift with you on your leaving during this video. And even their neighbors helped, too. Kindness and people helping people. Thanks for what you, and the viewers, do to greatly assist lives in Saigon and elsewhere in Vietnam.

I had to watch the end because the first part looked bad but the later part was heart breaking.

She said that she was thankful for the money for her medicine. The video didn't reveal what she did with the money. But based on what Troy said, I'm assuming that she did go to the doctor and it's terminal.

I wondered why they were behaving that way. Is it because she is too weak to interact or is it because they don't want to face her being sick.

In previous video's she said that she finds it hard to digest any food. She needs to be on an IV drip, how else will her body get any nutrients or vitamins. Her condition looks dire. I think she doesn't want to spend the money on doctors or medication cause she knows that it's all in vain. She rather keep the money for Vi. That's my take on it anyway. Praying that she recovers a little, Vi is too young to be an orphan.

That is really sad. I do hope the mom gets to got to a hospital to even have a chance. She isn't going to stay alive for long in those conditions. The husband really needs to act now.

I saw her in another video of yours and she looked healthy after she got treated for whatever she had. People get sick no matter where they live. Glad to see she recovered.

I been obsessed with Vietnam since I was like ten years old (1990) and I heard of Vietnam war. I watched n red everything I could , even went to the local library to find out stuff ( before internet ). I dunno why. The green maybe. Ghosts of war in jungles. Is ther still triple canopy jungle left in Vietnam? We’re the light can poke through a bit and it’s always dark n spooky?

Huy Giang-Most of the videos that i have seen about Vietnam are pretty uplifting. Vietnam has come a long way since tha war ended in 1975. Vietnam became more like the USA with the tourist industry. There will always be slums in every country. I think overall the Vietnam people have a good life and eat three meals a day. I think the poor are the people that somehow fall threw the cracks. The don't have a lot of programs to help the poor like USA. I don't know what the healthcare system is like either. The land is so beautiful and has a lot of natural resources that you should be able to pull yourself out of poverty. The coronavirus is killing the tourist industry. I loved how these people in Vietnam has bounced back after the 15 year war with USA. Vietnam War was such a senseless war which cost the lives of 58,000 USA troops and millions of vietnam women, men and children. I predict that 10 years Vietnam will find a way to help the poor and have social programs simliar to welfare and food stamps.
