I can hear the crowd sound trying to burst through that gate. It is quite distracting. That you can do this live at all, however, is amazing.

Yes, that was a very extreme example. That tradeshow floor got obnoxiously loud. In normal situations, when you just need to get rid of the air conditioning or some street sounds, this noise gate does wonders and works miraculously.
Your throat must have been raw by the end of the first day! Could you still speak by the end of the show?
