How do I read Water to Catch Bass (The Old Fashioned Way)

Ойын-сауық

With all this new technology guys never look up anymore to look at their surroundings. Guess what, if you are doing this you are missing out. The whole game of fishing is to have more knowledge than the next guy and reading water is one more thing you better know how to do.

Another home run. Explaining how you dissect water in order to establish a pattern is everything. Thank God for your writer's block, I think it added a new dimension to fishing videos by asking viewers to jump in. Keep it up

So basically we are talking pattern fishing. That’s how I’ve fished for the last 40 years. Doesn’t sell electronics, power poles and Flouro. What separates the men the boys is how fast you adjust when things change. Another great video!

Yes failing fast is the key and the balance between fishin too fast an not given spot enough attention or stayin or throwing lure too long fishin Dead water, inactive fish whatever case may be

Great video. I think that "gut feeling" comes from spending time outdoors your whole life. As a kid running around creeks and woods and lakes u get a sense of the mood of nature and how it relates to weather, environment etc. U can just feel when nature is alive.

Greetings from the BIG SKY. I guess that's why I have always enjoyed old books, reading words and water are very similar. Each creek has a different story to tell.

Are you a head banger? That music is head banging, this what separates experience & knowledge from the average angler, the bank is the best place to start in the morning but from there I don't know!🎣👍

Man I’ve recommended your Deep & Alabama Waters series both damn near every time I get the question “how do I read water?”from another angler. A lot to learn in those vids if you pay attn. Well done on those and well done on this one. 👍🏽👍🏽

Thank you for a video that teaches us amateurs how to catch bass without expensive electronics. I get fish finder to see depth and temp, but watching fish swim up to a bait is ridiculous. I love to watch tournaments and would love to see a few with Elites or MLF where only basic fish finders are allowed. I would be curious to see if it makes a difference. I think of Nascar, where cars are most known to only turn to the left. They have a few road courses where the regular winners seldom do as well as road race drivers. I wish they would include a few tournaments like this where competitors are required to fish.

Love your videos and the intense info you put in to explain what you are doing. A lot of little bits of information that I think a lot of guys overlook. That's to all your hard work and willingness to share with others. Thanks

Another great one!! Building on the last video, do you feel 100% confident that power fishing will always show a pattern? If you don’t get bit on power when do you slow down to get bit? Or do you just move to another area? Hope this makes sense? Not sure I am confident fish will always show themself using power?

OMG !!!! 😮 YOU Know this gonna PISS-OFF OFF All the Electronic Companies & Some of the Pro Fisherman!!! LOL😂 YOU go Brother or should I call you Neighbor??? My Son and I just moved up here here on the 5th Finger/Norris Creek!!! We acquired a 95 Dynatrack with Johnson Fast-Strke 150 Bass Boat on 4th July that's only got a small Lowrance & a Flasher!!! That's what I learned on back in 1969 when they just opened Sam Rayburn!!! I'm going Share this with video with my son and show him you don't have to have all the Livescope/Side view Electronics!!! Not that I wouldn't like to have them eventually, but I feel teach him Old School first, Right? He's only 24 but he appreciates Old School and realizes how messed up his generation!! I just found your site here recently and knew you were straight up and not bought like some others!!! Appreciate you Brother and maybe we'll cross Wakes someday??? KEEP ON KEEPING ON!!!
