I hope you know how timely this is for me. Been asking the Lord how on earth is my work going to get done. “There’s too much on my plate!” I tell him and my family nearly every day. I’ve even been inconsiderate with my words trying to “protect” whatever time I thought I had to work with when they come asking daddy for help. Trying not to imagine the world view I’m poorly installing into them. It’s crazy to me now after listening to this message the thought “just ask God.” Somewhere in my life I learned it’s supposed to be complicated. Start with simple truths, the simple gospel, a simple relationship fully FULLY trusting is Him. Lord I need a turning point to happen fast! I’m falling apart left right and center it feels like. To Pastor John and the Desiring God team I thank you for this holy message of truth. It gives me hope in a time I can’t seem to see or feel it.

Seems like almost every piece of software today (and especially the ad-driven ones) is trying to make us spend *more* time on it, not less. Very intentional (and God-oriented) usage of these tools is needed to make them serve us and not vice-versa.

The Lord is coming, the season is now! Amen. God is merciful. He always forgives. Never be ashamed to take your failures to him. He is for you, not against you! God is with you in the storm. He knows your troubles, he hears you! He is for you, on your side, always! It may feel silent at times, but he’s holding you close! May the Lord return soon! We are drawing closer. He is coming! Believe and trust in the Lord, you will be saved. Period. May the Lord bless you all! Hang in there family. Stay strong. It is not easy following the Lord. We are scoffed at. We give up our earthly dreams, our fleshly desires. What the enemy offers is short lived, but heaven is forever! Life may seem or be unfair, but God is with you! Always remember that. Things may get better or worse for you, but a kingdom awaits you! Finish the race! Repent daily and carry your cross. This world is fading fast. Your troubles are temporary! New channel here, I’d appreciate any kind of support. Don’t give up! God loves you so much! So do I. The Lord bless you!

So encouraging! Had the same testimonies of God's great work over a tiny amount of time left & w/ exhausted mind & body. I experienced it many times in doing my secular job and in church ministry as well. It always left me the same question and also telling myself: "Wow! That was not me!"

Thank you Lord for this lesson. 😇🙏 Working for God and working for man are fundamentally different. Work for God in all our working for man. …Give yourself to prayer and to your family, in a way that you feel is biblically appropriate, and then asking for God to create, out of nothing, what you thought has to be given up at work.

I myself have been struggling over not being able to get things all done so I will work on focus more with what's important biblically vs my ideas Side note:It's funny to me that the only time it speaks of God giving us wages for what we do is sin, and the wage is death, though we have an inheritance in heaven. Moreover though not exactly the same it seems to have parallel - money is the root of all evil. Love that living word 🤩 God bless you guys for all the hard work you do.

Money is not the root of all evil; it is the *love* of money that is the root of all evil. The idolatry of money (turning away from God to worship anything other than God) is the issue. It is common to think what we feel we need to accomplish our goals in a certain timeline, because we all occasionally make OUR objectives the core focal point, when we should simply submit ourselves to making the glorification of God our focal point. As humans, we fail constantly, which is why we must rely on the Holy Spirit to help us always... we do not have the power or the righteousness to do that on our own. You are not alone in your struggles, as every Christian experiences the same thing... but the main point is that, unlike non-believers, we all KNOW that we are wrong but then then stop to reflect and continually try to do better again the next moment. Do not feel anxious about failing, because it is an acknowledgement that you are not enough to do it by yourself and that you depend on God's mercy, grace, and authority to help you appreciate His love for you.

Through only through the trinity all things are possible, thank you to brother Steve Nd the whole community for this wake up. Looking back in life I can count several times God when I accepted his will made "great" things happen. Sometimes they weren't "great" for my worldly perception. But they always made me stronger for him even if I didn't know it at the time. 🙏🙌🙏🥰

Matthew 7:7-11 -> “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" John 14:13-14 -> "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." Philippians 4:6-7 -> "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Matthew 21:21-22 -> "So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. 22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” " John 15:7 -> "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you."

"How Do I Prioritize My Busy Life?" The same kind Sir...how we sin LESS...and have a more "joyous, happy and peaceful life". And what is that? We do this: 1. Quit saying the word "God" and hiding the word Jesus. So we don't offend others who hate Jesus. Like the Muslims and those who call themselves "Jews". Etc! 2. By saying "May Jesus bless you"; just "Jesus" instead of "God"; and say I believe in Jesus; who IS the only "God Almighty"; there will ever be! 3. And never use Jesus or God in any "Joke Rhetoric". And when any one uses that blasphemy, walk away "Yesterday"! 4. Let the world KNOW: who IS the ONLY true God. And that is Jesus. Whether any one likes it or not! 5. Never use God or Jesus in "VAIN", EVER! Under any situation. For that is one of THE most "Abominable, Blasphemous Sins; any one could EVER do. Worse than "murder, rape, thievery, lying, coveting, adultery and curse God or Jesus". ETC! 6. Don't use "illicit" drugs, and alcohol or cigarettes; under ANY situation. Just walk away from it. And even though "Marijuana" is becoming legal! Which is, regardless what they say, is a VERY dangerous drug. As I stand before Jesus! 7. Never call the bible: "The Word of God"! Because the bible itself; says that is a LIE! IE: John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was within God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh (Jesus), and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. 1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh (Jesus), justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. So I ask: "When have you ever seen any bible and/or scripture; that became "flesh" and "dwelt" with us? Huh? End of Story and I rest me case... ...In any case kind Sir, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

    8. Beware of Mr. Pat's teachings. He teaches many dangerous things, so keep away from some of them. So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. @@xMrFlyx You are a typical modern day Pharisee. For they did the same thing to Jesus; when He was trying to teach Truth; and expose the "apostasy" that the "jews" had adopted over the years. Oh well. Believe as you wish, Mr "Fly". But you WILL know one day; that this man is/was led by the Holy Spirit of Jesus!

@@daisyleigh777 Well, I disagree with you. I only see legalism in his text and others dangerous teachings. Such as this one -> "Never call the bible: "The Word of God"! Because the bible itself; says that is a LIE!" and this one too "Never use God or Jesus in "VAIN", EVER! Under any situation. For that is one of THE most "Abominable, Blasphemous Sins; any one could EVER do. Worse than "murder, rape, thievery, lying, coveting, adultery and curse God or Jesus". ETC!" I'm sure that those words (pat's words that I mentioned) weren't inspired by the holy spirit, because contradicts the Bible (THE WORD OF GOD). . For THE WORD OF GOD is alive and active. (Hebrews 4:12) . All Scripture is GOD-BREATHED... (2 Timothy 3:16-17) . He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear THE WORD OF GOD and obey it.” (Luke 11:28) . The grass withers and the flowers fall, but THE WORD OF OUR GOD endures forever. (Isaiah 40:8) ABOUT LEGALISM: 👇👇👇 Even true believers can be legalistic. We are instructed, rather, to be gracious to one another: “Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters” (Romans 14:1). Sadly, there are those who feel so strongly about non-essential doctrines that they will run others out of their fellowship, not even allowing the expression of another viewpoint. That, too, is legalism. Many legalistic believers today make the error of demanding unqualified adherence to their own biblical interpretations and even to their own traditions. For example, there are those who feel that to be spiritual one must simply avoid tobacco, alcoholic beverages, dancing, movies, etc. The truth is that avoiding these things is no guarantee of spirituality. The apostle Paul warns us of legalism in Colossians 2:20-23: “Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules: ‘Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!’? These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. Such regulations indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-imposed worship, their false humility and their harsh treatment of the body, but they lack any value in restraining sensual indulgence.” Legalists may appear to be righteous and spiritual, but legalism ultimately fails to accomplish God’s purposes because it is an outward performance instead of an inward change. First we have to look at the phrase 'does not even nature itself teach you' it doesn't say look towards God look towards Jesus, nor the apostles or Prophets, the phrase is 'does not even nature itself teach you'. Were in the bible except here say we must adhere to the rule of nature, and in nature all I see is long hair. I have to say Samson let his hair grow because he was in a lifelong covenant with God to represent his people. Does the New Testament forbid anyone from making a covenant with God? Apostle Gino Jennings says that his abilities were given from God has he made a covenant with God to preach the word to all his thousands of followers. How many men in his church suffer from hair loss, so therefore they cut their hair down to the skin. Is wearing long hair a form of vanity, and if so why do you shave your faces and shave your hair real slick like, isn't that a form of vanity also? It shouldn't matter what you wear or how you look as long as you don't cause your brother or sister to sin.

The Gospel: Plain and Simple “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” - 2 Corithians 11:3 Ask someone today if they are saved and you will most likely hear responses like these: “I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de-termine whether or not a person actually knows the gospel that saves them. These use￾less phrases don’t describe a thing about what the gospel is and has left a devastating effect of people not knowing what it is that they are saved from nor how they are saved; which leaves a more serious effect of people ques￾tioning their salvation. Let’s not muddy the simplicity of salva￾tion that is in Christ with vague church sounding phrases that do not communicate anything. But rather present God’s word with clarity and assuredness. So here is the gospel: plain and simple. Sin was passed upon all men by one man Adam, and death is a consequence of this sin (Rom 5:12). Mankind has an eternal destiny of condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good works one might do we are still found sinners in the sight of our Creator God. And all un￾righteousness and those who follow get in￾dignation and wrath. We cannot be found righteous for by God’s law we are found sin￾ners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even one law we are found guilty. It is for this reason of not being able to create our own righteousness and being born in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus 3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross 2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath and judgement that was intended for us sin￾ners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial, and resurrection on our behalf that we are able to have peace with God and forgiveness of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good news is unto all but only those that believe in it are made righteous in Christ (Romans 3:22). It is then after we have heard this good news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and we are now part of Christ’s body the church (Eph 1:13) There is nothing that we need to do, no good works that are required, and no bad works that can separate us from our new po￾sition in Christ (Romans 8:35-39). Faith and belief in this information from God’s word is the gospel. The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your heart. The gospel is not making him lord of your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not being baptized with water. So next time someone asks you if you are saved. Give them the clear assured answer Yes And let me tell you why Find more free resources at www.graceambassadors.com

the explanation I heard for at least the women and head covering part of the same chapter, is that it was a specific contextual exortation to the Corinthians in specific. due to the cultural context of women who has very short hair were part of the greek god of pleasure/love/etc, and were whores. Paul was exorting christians to not look like whores in that cultural context, because it was shameful to the church to say you're a Christian and look like you're one of the pagan worshipers, and naturally a stumbling block
