just watched this video. one of the first things i decided when i started my garden last year, is that i will be doing rain barrels. I bought one from walmart, premade and i made four from 44gallons trash bins. Planning to put 6 more barrels. These are the garden life-savors. also, glad you did not have it hard with your covid. My daughter got it, i did not(she lives with me), but she only lost her taste for a few days, that was all.

A single strand of electric fencing deer will run right through. A two or three strand electrified fence has been a pretty good deterrent. Also works: two non-electrified fences at about 3' high 4-5 feet apart. This last is particularly good if you realize deer come from just one direction and are tasting as they travel through. It is important to put that up and change their travel route so it is in place right after they give birth in the spring and start moving about.

Deer you can do a two-tiered system. There are several farms around me that do this, it's not electrified and it's not tall. Depth perception thing.

I do harvest many flowers into a bucket of flower food, yes!

Maybe a little less throughout the season but then we get blasted late in March or April and make up for it.

Yes! Many states do not allow it. It used to be banned in New York but the law has since changed.

QUESTION: How many CSA's did you do this year? I know you've invested a lot in the past couple years, so did you limit to that # of CSA's because of possibility of not having enough flowers to do anymore than that, or because that is all you will have TIME to pick & arrange?

Hi! Love your channel!! Were your Dahlia tubers diseased when you received them or did they get a disease after you planted them? Do you know what disease it was? There was no evidence of disease when I planted them. Bummer. It was both crown and leafy gall.

Everytime I hear it is illegal to collect rain water it blows my mind,WHY ???

Would you recommend growing cosmos? Do they have a long vase life? Or do you use them mostly for fillers?

I have and I will again. They are on the shorter side when it comes to vase life but you can use boiling water to sear the ends and extend their vase life!
