My wife and I were high school sweethearts and when the movie Con-Air came out we both went and at the end when they played this song she cried and said this is how she would always feel about me and this song meant so much to her. Six years later driving home from work my dear wife was killed by a drunk driver instantly. We had been together for 20 years and had a 13 year old daughter who loved her mother dearly also......That was 17 years ago and today I watched Con-Air again not thinking about that song at the end and when it came on I completely lost it!!! I pray through God's grace I will see her again. I know in her heart she would want me to marry again but I just can't.....there will never be a woman like her again. The words in this song are so true and powerful.

I've heard this song forever, and now I feel the pain of it. My husband died a month ago, and it is hard to bear. We had 35 beautiful years together. Just last night I found a large poster that he was going to give me that said, "To My Wife, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me, I love you". It really tore me up, but it also gave me comfort in knowing that even though he's not here with me, his love is still with me.

I just recently heard this song on a TV show and didn't remember that it was in Con Air. I was thinking that it would have been good for my wife's funeral. It's going on 1 year in a week that she's been gone. God bless those who are here to reminisce about a loved one 🙏🏽

Every time I come across this song, I end up in tears. A beautifully emotional song that reminds me of nights spent infront of the TV with my parents watching ConAir. Unfortunately after my dad died 8 years ago, I only cry because I want to be back in those happier times with him and my family.

I am so very sorry. Really. I just came across this video this morning, kind of by accident. //// I lost my fiance in Vietnam, when we both were 18, 53 years ago. When I finally got married (to someone else, of course), I named my youngest son after my dead fiance. And just recently I was thinking about how Jim and his death seem like they happened in another lifetime. But this song -- the pain of losing him is still with me. //// I was a Hospice volunteer, off and on, for almost 20 years. I can tell you, from that and from my own personal experiences (I also lost my only daughter when she was 28), the pain never goes away. However, it does get better, and you will truly live and laugh again. Just remember: they are dead. We are not. And it is truly a waste of life to acutely grieve until the day we die.

My father who was watch this movie with me years ago, and let me sing the song almost every days. He was the pure love of my life. RIP to my father & mother. Born in the same year, and gone in the same year too.

Walking into my friends funeral viewing and this song was playing, I didn’t even get up to her casket to see her before I started balling everything reminds me of her.. everyday I listen to this and it flashes back in my head what she looked like and what I felt in that moment 💔

I love this song! Brings back so many memories!

I pray I will experience the true love of these type of songs when the time is right. Finally returning back to being single and I couldn’t be more grateful for God giving me the strength and bringing the right people in my life for my single phase. So much healing is required sooooo much I’ve experienced much pain in this man made marriage not God given though both Christian’s of different denominations

I was asleep an through my sleep in the middle of the night this song kept singing through my sleep out of nowhere..i woke up an so i played it on utube..it kept me up all through the night..im thinking is there someone that i may know that has fallen in love with me that playing this song 😂 that can't sleep tonight 😂coz somehow i can feel it strongly 😂 well please i need my beauty sleep..i got work in the morning goodnight sing this to me through the day ok 😂 cheers

It's been the hardest months of my life. My 4th born baby died Christmas Eve 2019, he was born on mother's day May 12th 2019. Me and my wife aren't together I was a damn mess torn inside cuz I felt like I failed my family. I remember listening to this song when I was in 4th or 5th grade thanks to my bus driver. I am a meth addict I am a cocaine addict and I'm a heroin Junkie I've overcome all of these in the last 2 years that's a long hard fight and some days I have to put one foot in the other so I know your son can do this my prayers are with him and you may God touch his heart and help him see cuz it much better plan for him than his crazy addiction
