I actually came up with the same idea (but strumming the fretted notes rather than tapping them) months ago but haven't gotten around to using it. I mentioned it during a discussion on the CH Customs Discord and most people seemed firmly against the idea despite the realism xD

@Kyle Wilhelmsen This is physically as close to real harmonics as you can get with a Guitar Hero controller -- you have to release the fret as soon as you pick, just like playing a real harmonic.

@Sylvarus - You'll probably understand more if you are a guitarist than a Guitar Hero player. Sometimes when you do a natural harmonic on a guitar, you can release your finger from the string and the note will still sustain. Another way you could chart natural harmonics for Guitar Hero (well, long note harmonics) is just a note without a long note tail (that also makes sense if you are not using open notes).

Eve Barajas the big bar means it's an open fingering, which is usually strummed and nothing else, and the white light around it means that it isn't strummed. so every time he hits one he can't press any buttons

In all my years of charting, I never thought about pulling off notes to open for natural harmonics. That's actually a pretty genius idea.

You should have used a karate chop and a magazine to alt tap those 5 note chords.

man this kind of stuff keeps the community alive. alongside with the new styles charting in Soulless 5, it's "a breath of fresh air", despite sounding a bit cliché. keep it up. naturally one day this game will die out. eventually the interest will just fade, the players will move on to other games. but it's the choice of us, the community, especially the charters to push new, exciting stuff which will keep the interest up.

Okay so I think the difficulty problem here with the song itself-at least in CH-is the necessary frame-perfect timing of the tap-trills and the hammer-on open notes, in addition to them being chords later on. The timing and just the overall "wtf" nature of the pattern is what fucks it all up.

This chart looks like it could be a good visualizer for a song. The harmonics were pretty sick too. Best way for charting them.

This has become one of my new favorite songs. It seems a lot of people feels the same, as this song has gained 100,000 plays on Spotify since this video came out!

Technically I the harmonics and pinch harmonics you wouldn't even press the fret at all just the string. So I guess technically you wouldn't press the button. But your right it's extremely close.

I don't know if it's the Atmospheric or Blackgaze sounding guitars and the way the acoustic is made but the song itself is actually very good and it hits a certain thing with me that I can't properly explain but I really love music like that.
