Thegreenmanofnorwich, that's so funny! I know the same trait. There was a cartoon strip called "Peanuts" in which there was a character named "Pigpen" who would come out of his house cleaned up and well groomed, wearing spiffy clean clothes. Within each following frame, everything went awry, became crooked, and he accrued splotches of dirt, his hair a mess. THAT'S the picture!

@grovermartin6874 I love Peanuts, and I like that little cloud of dirt that Pigpen has around his feet :-)
That cute little capelet is just the cherry on top of what was already a fabulous outfit
I swear, everything you make is SO cute. I’m 67 and generally wear jeans and hoodies but I love seeing what you come up with next!

Thank you💕💕
One place to find petticoats or can-cans is at a square dance store where they sell the dresses and can-cans. My filks square danced for years and my Mom had a rainbow of petticoats.
That looks so pretty!!
You are too cute. Love your outfits and seeing everything vintage.
Love that capelet. It took the dress to a whole new level.
The capelette!!!! Oh my goodness so darn cute. Love your content. Thank you
The capelet is to die for 😭😍 and the dress is gorgeous!
So modest! We all know that the petty coat isn't the only reason the dress looks bigger in the skirt! Absolutely gorgeous!
I,really like the vintage style! I wore that style as a young girl and I still love it. I especially like the crinoline slip that makes the dress really full and beautiful.
Love the dress . I am 78 and can remember wearing dresses like that . Sometimes my mum would put a hoop through the hem instead of petty coats ❤
You are a remarkable young lady. You took the time to master the skill of sewing and turned it into an art.
