38 here, wife just recently bought me a pair of USD Feinberg Pro (I had the Salomon Feinberg Pros growing up) and I can't wait to fall over and get beat up at the skate park 😅

I recently got back into it over this past summer. I’m 39. It’s definitely not as easy as I remember but, I am getting there with every session. Videos like this really help!

The hurting your back sneezing comment actually hit home and made me laugh as that just happened to me for the first time this week at 38 so I guess this video does indeed apply to me. =]

Back after 20 years. I can't believe I can at 40, but I did and it was the best decision. Thank you for your great content

I got back into skating 25 laters later. I only skated for a short period as a kid and thought I wouldn’t be able to inline skate anymore. Wow, I surprised I could in-line skate again. I went from a 4 x 80mm setup skating for 3 months and now upgraded to 3 x 100mm. Love this video. It pulled all the like minded people together in one spot. ❤

Same here! It sounds crazy, but True.......I'm 41 and I have more muscle now then when I was younger, and have a better diet, I don't find myself gassing out.....I also think you learn to work Smarter VS Harder.....when you're young, you just have hormones, so you crash and burn a lot, Lol. When you get older, you learn technique and skill....VS adrenaline or dumb luck when you're younger. Sure you won't be able to go Insanely hard, but life is also about Risk VS Reward as you get older, it's not worth crazy injuries at 40 or 50 when you have a Career or people depending on you for Income, etc. You learn to drop the Ego, and just dial in for what Exactly you want to do.

I lost a friend who bladed without a helmet. His brother and my cousin refuse to wear one "in honor" of him. Absurd. We are all fathers now, late 30s early 40s. They started skating again, posted some pics of them and were getting handled on social media for being so reckless. To everyone like my cousin, grow up. Wear a helmet.

It only took one fall and me being unconscious almost getting hit by a car to start wearing a helmet. Wear A Helmet It will save YOUR LIFE.

@apaleguy Ah, man... that will do it. One time, I 540'd a twelve stair and caught my pants on my back wheel (landing fakie, in JNCOs... I'm not sure which part is more embarrassing lol). I split my Pro-tec completely in half at the back of my skull. I was a little shook up but totally fine to skate home. My mom was so happy she bought me another one that same day.

I started wearing wrist guards when I fell down. I think it also depends on how fast or the tricks you are trying to pull off. I fell couple of times at the trail areas, but always managed to place my palms on the ground as my 1st instinct.

For sure! I fell off the back of a quarter pipe head first, my helmet split and I just dusted myself off and rode away. What would that have been like without it?

Wristguards, yes. They help you mitigate any bailing situation. By having your hands and wrist protected, you can put your hands first when you fall and avoid hits on your knees, shins, and elbows. I used to hate them but now I see the value. I can take more "risks" and try harder tricks because I know I will be safer. Also, volleyball knee guards do a great job. Obviously, they will not be good for vert skating but for grinding ledges or basic skatepark tricks, they offer protection and excellent flexibility. And they're cheap (12 euros for mine). Great advice overall, Law, love the channel :)

I tried the ALK13 knee pads and the Ennui ST Pro Knee Gasket knee pads in their largest sizes and they were both just a little bit too tight for me. I'm 5'11" and 200lbs. I was getting lots of pressure on my kneecap (I have kinda knobby knees) and the material in the back of the knee felt like it was digging in. Between the two I did like the feel of ALK13's better from a coverage and flexibility standpoint. Right now I'm trying the G-Form Pro-Rugged 2 knee-shin pads in size XXL. They fit me a bit on the looser side especially compared to the ALK13 and Ennui. At the same time though, I can't say I'm a fan of how un-ergonomic the padding feels around the knee cap. It feels like I just taped a piece of thin, hard foam to my leg. Back around 1998-2000 I used to have some slightly bulkier soft shell knee pads made by Harbinger. Those things felt amazing, and they were nicely sculpted around the knee cap. They were a bit bigger than the Ennui ST Pro Knee Gasket knee pads. I haven't been able to find any evidence those pads ever existed on Google. It's kind of amazing.

51 yrs old.. was big into blading in the 90’s picked up some Aeon 72’s in 2018.. this year I’ve made a concerted effort and I’m blading 5x a week.. totally agree set expectations low. I’m back in great shape and I’ve still not felt comfortable doing jumps etc gonna get a helmet and pads and some 60’s before I attempt anything.. my chocolates from the 90’s with senate wheels will stay retired 😂🤣

Im 41 and had No issues...muscle memory came right Back instantly. Little sketchy in certain movements, it will take a few weeks to get the muscles trained for it again, but my brain was right back to being a teenager again, Lol. I started skateboarding again too for the first time in 20 years, I went to the skatepark and was dropping down pretty big ramps within 15 minutes....my brain just wanted to go Right for the stuff I used to do....didn't fall once, but I'm also in really good shape, always lifted weights and done cardio my whole life.

So glad I started using a helmet when I got back. I don't fall on my head but when you land fakie at 40 and screw it up, your ab muscles can no longer stop your head from hitting the ground.

I was able to nab a couple pairs of Widebody Salomons recently and they still work really well. The new 50/50 frames & wheels help out a lot. Gonna pick up the Omnis when I get a little bit of extra money.

I got myself a new pair of skates, roces m12 and starting back again! 46 this year and haven't been on skates since 1999 . I use to have roces fifth element , I really liked them and can't wait to see how my new skates will feel. I wonder if I have any muscle memory left when I try to do my first soul grind in about 25 years 🤔 Let's see if I break any bones this weekend 🤪

Getting back into aggressive after a few years, looking to get some skates that are customisable incase the parks too rough on my back and I can just swap on urban frames. My local has Gawds that I think I might get,but maybe I should get a soft boot or carbon for extra comfort if I end up doing more urban stuff. Tough decisions 😂

Thanks for this on the stream and as a dedicated video. I know you're out of the review game now, but I have a request that could leverage all the reviews you've done. Could you put together a wide foot playlist or summary video? It's so hard to track down good info that has specifics.
