I've got a 1976 organic chemistry book that looked into syncrude using biomass and in America over 2 billion tonnes of it is made . One recipe is to use CO gas and heat and pressure being 380 C and 1200PSI over 3 barrels of light crude can be made but at the time it was too expensive to produce so 1 tonne of biomass to 3 barrels of oil made .

There is another simple reason - it was easier to carry out seismic surveys in desert areas and produce oil there. Doing the same in more populated areas is more difficult and expensive, which is why offshore oil is more common in Europe. The Continental Shelf areas are younger sedimentary basins and may contain oil while older crystalline and metamorphic rocks as in Africa, Australia and Scandinavia won't contain oil.

While the original post makes a good point, one way in which they support the video while ostensibly to countering it is by highlighting the offshore oil reserves. This video points out that a key reason that the Middle East has a a lot of oil is that it has a lot of land that was underwater only tens of millions of years ago or whatever. Well, the offshore oil reserves around Europe were also underwater, and have simply remained underwater. So you’re right! … If you were attempting to imply that the video is right…

“You will know them by their fruits” seems to be a truism in both the literal and metaphorical sense. War, destruction, division, hatred, and barren land devoid of agricultural production. Nearly all ME nations are net food importers. Oil could have made them rich. But yet they continue to be plagued by violence and famine and corrupt totalitarian brutal dictators. Any nation whose majority population subscribes to a religion of political theosophy is sure to be doomed. Religion cannot serve as the basis of a government if it is based on lies. Without lies and oppression, it flames out. It is too easily debunked and cannot withstand critical scholarship.

"Slaves' were treated as part of the family and barely abuse was used. Or people in debt become slaves till their money was paid. Just like prisons now. A punishment for not being what you borrowed. And all kinds of people could trun into slaves, Africans, Arabs, Europeans slaves for others too, from all over the place if they didn't pay. Then, came the Westrens mainly Europeans, to turn into the biggest slave traders EVER. Basically, kidnapped people from Africa and traded them all the way to America and Europe to work in the worst condition ever, stripping them from everyfuckingthing. Please, stop being misinformed. It was formulated that Saudi Arabia will ensure that the Muslims where ever in the World never become 'civilised" & developed...! Many of the Syariah laws today along with the hundreds of' FATWA's from the Saudi Kingdom has the Western hands involved in its makings..! They went after Syria and created '' ISIS' to stop the drastic economic development brought by their then President...! The good news is that under the 'New' Saudi King( MBS) .., MBS is determine that he shall rule with his own voice and NOT like his father, whose voice was the Voice of the American President ...! Without Saudi Arabia.., the concept of the PETROLDollar will soon fail...! So, either the USA will assassinate the MBS soon, with the blessing of his next in line. OR cause a bigger war in the Middle East and take over the management of the Middle East Oil from Saudi Arabia & Iran & Syria with the help of NATO & Isreal...! That is where the real WW3, killing fields are planned and will take place under the guise of 'WEST Vs EAST' ...! SORRY USA..! I may yet again had frustrated & even foiled your plans to unleash WW3 on the World whist blamming others for it..!!! 🙏 ❤️ CHEERIO...! 🙏 ❤️ N/B.. Easy. The Persian Gulf has the world's largest easily accessible oil fields from a quirk in geology. And Iran has barely tapped its own massive reserves. But Russia could become a huge competitor because only a fraction of Russia's oilfields have been exploited.

Perhaps the Saudis have figured out that petroleum does not consist of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. Therefore can not be considered a fossil fuel. Which means the narrative has changed. If petroleum we're a fossil fuel it would be limited. But if the earth itself created petroleum then perhaps it would be limitless but if people found out it was limitless then it would drastically drop in price. so to keep oil at a maximum price it must be seen as limited thus we call it fossil fuel, but it doesn't consist of carbon hydrogen or oxygen. Just saying.

@@karantikoo9302 Thanks for that, you've just made yourself and the Islamic world look like the failure it so obviously is, hence my earlier comment. The so called golden age ended the best part of a thousand years ago so for any Muslim to claim the achievements of just a few in that era is just pathetic beyond belief. It's like an Egyptian claiming to be a stonemason because of the pyramids. Islam is a failed social experiment and a curse upon those forced into it. It's a near certain guarantee of a lifetime of underachievement and poverty. Had the golden age continued that may have given Islam some credibility however even that claim is weak. The Persian were an advanced society in their own right irrespective and in spite of religion, it's just that dishonest Muslims always link the two. If course many of the claims Muslims make about the polymaths are just lies of distortions, for example that they invented algebra and algorithms.
