My ex-husband and I were the “power walkers,” but my recent boyfriend and I were the “relaxed” couple. He helped me realize that maybe there IS someone out there who is better-suited for me than my ex. He made me feel treasured and needed. So it was a blissful 5 months with him… … until he suddenly ghosted me (and to this day still has a BUNCH of my stuff). Sorry for sounding pessimistic, but I can’t help but feel an urge to spread the word that ghosting is incredibly damaging thing to do to ANYone. Clearly communicating your desire to end a relationship (whether it’s long term, short term, or even just a few dates) may lead to heartbreak and an uncomfortable confrontation, but ghosting someone is an act of inflicting emotional torture-one which adds many layers of confusion, self-doubt, and a sense of rejection loneliness. It only makes the situation exponentially worse. Please people… THINK before you ghost. You are treating a human being like they mean nothing. Don’t take the cowardly way out-just COMMUNICATE. (Cue the “Sir, this is a Wendy’s” type of replies. Lol, no problem-I love that meme)
