    @@Arturas002... The *magazine* is usually a box that contains cartridges, it feeds them in the chamber of the firearm with a spring AND a follower. The magazine can be removable (like the ones on assault rifles) or fixed (like most WWII bolt action rifles). The *clip* is usually a disposable piece of metal that holds the cartridges, its job ends when those are pushed *inside* the magazine. The clip *does not* feed the firearm. A particular type of clip is the *En-Bloc Clip*, it stays inside the firearm until all or all minus 1 cartridges are shot (the Garand has this type of clip, when ejected it *PINGS!*). For the love of Gun Jesus, stop spreading misinformation and look up the correct terminology, Wikipedia is well written in both clips and magazines. And don't trust everything, not even what I wrote here. Check multiple sources!

The next thing I know my sniper rifle is in said hand and without even moving his arm he shoots me dead. I cried out "asshole!" while laughing at the same time but it was so funny I wasn't even mad.

  • @coaxill4059

    @coaxill4059

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@madmemer5259 I'm pretty sure he's talking about Men of War. It's a WW2 strategy game that aims to be an authentic simulation rather than most conventional strategy games. Every bullet is accounted for, every vehicle is fully crewed, and it calculates a huge number of factors when it comes to range and damage. When a vehicle is disabled, the crew gets out with nothing but their sidearms. If you put only one guy in a tank, they can't use the gun and drive at the same time and have to switch between moving and shooting. Call to Arms is a modern combat spinoff and it's a decent game, but definitely unfinished compared to its predecessors. Also there's certain things that aren't fully simulated like the time it takes for a crew member to switch positions, but it's come a LONG way since its first entry over a decade ago and I anticipate they will keep developing these systems further until one day we will have a game realistic enough that you could re-enact historical events with chilling accuracy. It's already much closer to life than any other strategy game I've played and it still manages to be fun. I've found it quite addicting, staying up till 4 in the morning trying to break the enemy lines.

    I've played Pavlov and it feels INSANE to realize how restricted you are in non-VR. You play through CS levels and realized you can crouch a little or a lot. You can aim carefully or literally hipfire or blind fire behind you while running away. You can dual wield any gun because you can pick them up, it's just stupid to do so. It's another level.

    This is the kinda game I dreamed of as a kid. I really hope that in the next decade or two, we can get the physical feel of moving around, even if it's not perfect, it'd be pretty neat. When I was a kid, I imagined virtual reality would have the player on a harness and the floor would be low friction and you move by running your feet across it with socks or something and a helmet with a 180 tv screen would project the game.

    The best part of VR shooters is physically reloading. It seems tedious at first but over time you get used to reloading weapons and are able to practice reloading faster and faster, to the point where reloading in a VR shooter takes only a fraction of the time it takes in a 2D shooter.

    The 3 Fr33m4nn Hey, do you like video games? Do you want new players to play the game you like? Do you want the devs of said game to keep on improving the game? E-sports offer all these things to the game you like! Once a game becomes an e-sport, it will begin to have a lot of exposure and that leads to new players! The e-sports scene also generates revenue for the host of the event (usually the publisher of the game) so the employees can have revenue and the game will thrive. I can see why e-sports don’t appeal to you, but just know. Without e-sports, some of the most popular games ever wouldn’t even be here.

    What’s awesome about this new generation of VR gaming is that it’s all based on actual, physical skill. You need to have enough coordination and know how and reflexes to pull the trigger or reload on your own instead of pressing a button to do it. Makes me happy that I can reload at my own speed.

  • @flappy_dolphin2605

    Hopefully there won't be no auto assisted aiming. So no quickscoping. And if you have to reload yourself you can't fast cancel as your reloading. Getting shot by a person who's changing out a mag and then starts shooting is annoying as all hell. It also looks like we can hide behind cover and blind fire so we don't have to stick part of our body's out besides our hand. Which should also stop alot of campers. So this will all be your own skill hopefully and I can't wait

    ArtificialDjDAGX No, not really. It's not about the fact you can blind fire, steal ammo or engage with the environment more -- it's the fact you're physically doing every motion with your body and hands that makes it magic. It changes aiming entirely because you have to account for the tilt of your barrel, so you have to dial in your wrist motions to improve your marksmanship (like real life). It makes playing an fps the standard way feel antiquated. Worlds of difference, complete night and day

  • @ArtificialDjDAGX

    @ArtificialDjDAGX

    I've not even talked a bit about there being a difference between vr and non-vr. All I said was that blind fire, steal ammo and other things could be implemented. Yes, being able to do it in vr makes it magical and makes the non-vr feel antiquated. No idea where you thought I've argued against you.
