I'm pretty sure Stormbreaker managed to go against Thanos attack simply because it was actually using the bifrost, teleporting the power to somewhere else, letting stormbreaker to go through without interruption and hit Thanos. Edit: Well, some of you tell me that aint how bifrost work, I dont read comics but also this is not the comics, but also no one in marvel has said anything in detail how bifrost work *for* the MCU so Im not gonna argue it and just nod, but *imo* , I still think it's an interesting thought to put out there.

You forgot one thing. Stormbreaker has the ability to travel interdimensional. All the attacks were not fend off but rather deflected away into other dimensional. Hence the attack was stopped.

Simple explaination: They were both made by Etri the Dwarf. He specifically designed Stormbreaker to nullify the Infinity Gaunlet

Thanos’ gauntlet is also made of Uru so yeah it probably is cause he was weakened by stones power didn’t think of that

Technically I don't think that's correct, infinity stones give the wielder more power, it does not weaken the host, comic books have much better detection on what these stones do, so the real reason why, is because cinematic... they saw that it can be a nice clip to add in the movie that's all.

I have another two theories 1) Storm breaker can open the bifrost and Thor actually used that when he threw the axe. 2) Thanos didn't want to over use the gauntlet of fear that it might break. 1 more theory. 1) Thor never uses his full power in fear of killing his enemy but after Thanos killed Heimdall, he didn't hold back.

Also, Thor flew in with force, and threw Storm Breaker with even more force.

He wasn’t weakened by the stones power. He was fine when Thor threw the axe. And even though it was a surprise he used every stone to try and stop Stormbreaker, but they couldn’t. That’s still a very VERY impressive feat that Thor could throw the axe that hard and that the axe is that strong

It could be argued as well , that Thanos did not know how to control the stone to its full extent since he didn’t have it for very long . This might leave him somewhat vulnerable. Ps in the comics , Thanos is much more powerful than betrayed in the movies . He wouldn’t require stones to defeat Thor .

The first stone was the power stone I believe, which is why he defeated not only the Hulk, but Thor and Heimdall.

That’s why ultron was able to kill him, and why ultron was so good with the stones because he’s artificial and extremely intelligent able to process information almost instantly to be able to understand how to use it

Stormbreaker is built to channel the energy of the bifrost, it was able to channel the infinty stone energy away through the bifrost.

Someone like hulk got so badly damage trying to bring everyone dusted back(which is half of the people in the entire universe) and IronMan dead right away even tho he only target Thanos army(which is probably doesn't exceed 1~50 million). Thanos manage to snap that stones twice(one dusting people and second literally destroying the stone) and he still alive and could probably still fight if not for him doesn't care anymore.

Okay you 10 year old roblox kid. The infinity stones put a strain on his body. He can only hold it and use it's power because of his bloodline and the infinity gauntlet but it still doesn't make him completely invulnerable to it lmao. Also your phrasing of "infinity stones of different superhuman powers" "each" show you don't know what the infinity stones even are. Well if you think about it, The bifrost in marvels Thor is rainbow colors. Thanos launched a beam of power from every stone creating a bifrost attack that his axe could absorb. It's possible that the bifrost his just residual energy that has been harnessed from the stones, used by the asgardians.

Surprise attack is the key! Stones only make the holder stronger not weaker.

The reason captain America could hold him off for that long was because he was holding on the finger we’re the soul stone was. Thanos was able to see into his soul seeing everything he has done. So he was shocked because of how much heart captain America had.

stormbreaker can deflect magic. that is one its properties. yes, thanos could easily block stormbreaker if he uses the gaunlet as shield since they are both made from uru metal
