I worked on this film and he’s got it all correct. That top light in the field was this huge balloon light with a skirt on one side. The key light on the truck was a Skypanel rigged to hood lol. Luca had this thing where he wanted a nearly 360 degree view of set so it was a lot of shuffling crew back n forth to get shots. Overall super fun film to be apart of! They cut a CONSIDERABLE amount of footage, we did 60 locations in 40 days. Hopefully the 4 hour cut is released for us. 🤞

DYING at the cut from the girl screaming about her finger being bitten to you going "so... about the lighting" 🤣🤣

The balls on the guy strapped to the front of that motorcycle lifting the camera in and out of the van. Wow.

Love this breakdown. I saw this film recently and was talking with my partner about how naturalistic the lighting felt and how it felt like there was barely any additional lighting, just whatever was on location. I love being so wrong on this occasion, and to see all the underappreciated craft, work and planning that goes into getting such a natural look.

The ease at which you talk and how you break things down really makes this channel stand out and your tutorials so much easier to process. Thank you
