How Did The World's First Tanks Turn The Tide Of WWI? | Guy Martin's WW1 Tank | War Stories
On 15 September 1916 at Flers-Courcelette during the Battle of the Somme, Britain unveiled their secret weapon. A fleet of giant metal monsters swept over the battlefield and the world was introduced to the tank. In this documentary, Guy Martin looks at how this invention changed the course of the First World War.
Guy Martin also attempts to build a working replica of a World War One tank, pass his tank driving test and drive the machine at Lincoln's Remembrance Day parade.

Phenomenal work! These World War I tanks and the stories behind them will never cease to amaze me!
My grandfather was, according to family accounts, the first doctor attached to the Tank Corp. He was at a dressing post behind the Cambrai battlefield.
Very well done Guy Martin and the other people involved in the building of this tank
Couldn't hold back the tears when the real life pictures were rolled out at the latter end.
Could you imagine setting in your trench. All the sudden everything starts shaking. You hear a shrieking and screaming noise. All the sudden out of the dark a couple houses sized beast. One is shooting cannons and the other is shooting everything with machine gun fire. No matter what you throw at them. They just keep coming and coming.

@@regularstan6212 ok I said you hear screaming and screeching. The fact that you never seen anything like that before wouldn't change either.
What a fitting tribute. Well done.
What an amazing accomplishment. Well done, guys and Guy!
Remarkable. Thank you for making this documentary.
Why was the French dude the easiest to understand?

Superb
A wonderful, attractive introduction reportage of rebuilding first British tanks during WW1.....Tank was the newest weapon that had decisive tasked amongst whole internal coordinating amongst different unions of offensive missions
Increadible video, increadible project.
I can’t get past his sideburns… Also I think to a point this documentary kind of oversells the contribution that the Tank made in world war one. Now don’t get me wrong when tanks were first introduced into the conflict. They were a game changer. The Germans had literally no idea on how to tackle these giant metal monsters that would crawl their way relentlessly toward them. but at the same time I feel that the way this documentary brings it up makes it seem like the tanks were almost like wonder weapons. And well again their initial impact cannot be overstated during the battle of the Somme. The rest of it is yeah.
I could understand very little of what Guy was saying.

+1 on that…
Ur videos are awesome and informative Please make video on pearl harbour December 7 1941 Japanese attack
We will see how good the challenger2 really is. I hope he is as good as he looks. What an amazing tank!
Pretty good.
No matter what anyone says, these tanks surely chased the enemy away - trench warfare certainly had to give way to temporary foxholes after the advent of the tank.
I have this manual book about Mark IV and also kit 1/35 made by Meng company Mark V + A7V
Very very good docu but but one thing ..the 3 army under Patton was over the Rhein before Monty made his crossing , sad but it happened that way .. Patton crosst at Remagen ..
21:13 Haynes Great War Mark 4 Tank workshop manual? 🤔 🤷♂️
Had you guys used the Timken bearings instead of the Chinese bearings that failure would have happened
Sad that so many lost there lives. Politicians and Generals make the war. Ordinary people pay the price. Very good video. At the going down of the Sun, and in the morning. We will remember them.
As a 19Echo, Guy, you did it right. Tanker tough!!

Did I miss the part where they went over you know, the title? All I saw was some hobbyist making a homemade tank. If your content is so bad you need click bait titles to get any views then why bother.
