I don't know what's crazier the spot on 1:12:000 time or the fact that it was set twice.
@starbase218
17 күн бұрын
The latter, definitely. Why would setting a time of exactly 1.12.000 be any more special than setting a time of exactly 1.12.001? It took 72000 milliseconds in the 10-base numerative system with seconds being defined as “taking the fixed numerical value of the caesium frequency, ΔνCs, the unperturbed ground-state hyperfine transition frequency of the caesium 133 atom, to be 9192631770 when expressed in the unit Hz, which is equal to s−1”. But people don’t see or think about that.

2 drivers setting the exact same time to the thousandth of a second on a 1:12:000 is insane! If another driver made it happen, it would 1997 all over again (which I never saw it live again)

That's one thing I really love about F1 and why I dislike Formular E: The cars in F1 are completely different. The Red Bull and the Mercedes share, apart from very few standard component because of FIA regulation, not a single screw. Two completely different approaches are able to compete on the highest level. None of them is able to pull a trigger and get much faster. They are on the limit. That's a competition I want to see. Not a race with 20 cars who look completely the same from the outside.

Wierd coincidence but the session was very inconsistent. The mercs did those times on old tires. Then for the second half of Q3 wind picked up, max only improved in sector 1, while both mercs behind him couldn't improve any where. Everyone ahead of these 3 on track got a full go on new tires. The mercs were mighty on the Saturday for once...
@Sarrge19 күн бұрын
Really interesting that MB is faster on straights, they usually struggle with high speeds 🧐
@thomassteele964917 күн бұрын
Where is the data behind this sourced from? F1 clearly had to remove a frame from Russell's original lap video to make the times look similar. It took him more than 2 frames past 1:12.000 to cross the line, which is over four hundredths of a second.
@Mrbigmike31117 күн бұрын
So it seems Mercedes is actually faster exiting corner on a straight, Redbull seems faster on breaking and all which give an edge early, but after the first straight Mercedes catch up real quick and maintain position and even took the lead a little bit
@dezpotizmOFheaven11 күн бұрын
I like the part where you explain HOW they did it. - It just happened. It's just a huuuuuuge coincidence. They simply needed exactly the same time to complete one lap. love these.... what separates the top 4?
Love the video, been waiting for this
Nice Job!
Amazing😮
It looks like tehe RBR chasis gets unsettled mid-corner exit right when getting on the power. I guess it makes sense now why Max struggled at Monaco. Corner exit acceleration is crucial over there.
I just hope the weather is good so we get a good race
Pls pls have comparison of George, Max and Lando all together 🙏🙏
Such a great compare! I’d love to see the telemetry
Can u do this for the 97 european gran prix
Джордж большой молодец, и команда прибавила, надеюсь будет 4 команда-победитель в этом сезоне.
Pure art
I wanna bet both of the teams are crunching these numbers too ! This proves the theoretical 'perfect lap' is considerably faster than this.

Well Merc Q2 lap was faster than this. But it’s a damn good coincidence anyways
I don't know what's crazier the spot on 1:12:000 time or the fact that it was set twice.
@starbase218
The astronomically low chances of two different drivers getting not only the exact same lap time but also getting a lap time literally perfect to the millisecond is absolutely insane!!
I am waiting your vid for the Jerez qualifying in 1997
If Russel would be slower driver with a faster car, it would show. But they seem to match in most corners.
Could you do the 97 Jerez qualifying?
It reminds me of another notable feat, when Bottas set the exact same time on three consecutive laps of a race.
This is amazing
Could we know how these animations are made? How accurate are they to reality?
how u guys got data u got precise speed and car location on track? make me wonder

you can map it from race onboard videos. If you have paid to access f1 channel you can switch from driver view to another driver and just mark visually where they are on the track at spwcific moment. Its close enough

@@Wszyc tq sir.. now i understand..
When they cross the start/finish line with the same interval from start line to the finish line then it is considered too be the same lap time.
f1 channel must learn this kind of craft.
nice music!
Amazing
Next time, add all telemetry data! ... That would be cool :)
Crazy they were able to keep driving after driving through each other
Can you simulate what would have happened if it had 4 digits 0.0000? What would be both lap times?
Better than F1’s KZread channel 👍
I'm just curious, if the time is exactly the same, what is the determiners of who got the pole? Is it which one is the one who sets the lap first or something?
@rickb3288

You are correct. The first driver with the time gets it.
Does anyone knows what the fourth decimal would tell in this case?
Dunno why still believe Verstappen wins 0,001, but if still same 0,000 that was nice great result
He just drove right in to me
I think it would be better if there was a slight delay at the beginning of this video.
How do you know?
Bear in mind that Russell got a slipstream from albon after the hairpin - so it wasn’t necessarily a better corner exit
I would love to know who was quicker! I heard that in 97 someone had knowledge of the 4th decimal
What a qualifying
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
When all are one and one is all.
Nice video, but... i miss tow help detail too. Because it looks plain race, so video is kinda incomplete why RUS speed up. If you add tow effect on some parts, we understand better why somebody goes faster and other not.
OK. That was was kinda cool. no yaking, or faux-excitement commentary overlays, just let the picture(s) tell the story.
At these speeds, one thousandth is still about 6cm at the line. It should be clear from the telemetry who was actually faster, even if the chrono only goes down to 0.001s.
Interesting if 4th number was also matching both drivers
Wierd coincidence but the session was very inconsistent. The mercs did those times on old tires. Then for the second half of Q3 wind picked up, max only improved in sector 1, while both mercs behind him couldn't improve any where. Everyone ahead of these 3 on track got a full go on new tires. The mercs were mighty on the Saturday for once...
Really interesting that MB is faster on straights, they usually struggle with high speeds 🧐
Where is the data behind this sourced from? F1 clearly had to remove a frame from Russell's original lap video to make the times look similar. It took him more than 2 frames past 1:12.000 to cross the line, which is over four hundredths of a second.
So it seems Mercedes is actually faster exiting corner on a straight, Redbull seems faster on breaking and all which give an edge early, but after the first straight Mercedes catch up real quick and maintain position and even took the lead a little bit
I like the part where you explain HOW they did it. - It just happened. It's just a huuuuuuge coincidence. They simply needed exactly the same time to complete one lap. That's like a 1 in how many quadrillion chance? But one rule of the universe says: "Everything that CAN happen, at some point WILL happen."
Saw that Mercedes and Red Bull same lap time a record -ferrari out badly❤❤🎉🎉 so ferrari win in Monaco was biggg
In fact, one of them must have been quicker than the other. The ten thousandths of a second should have shown a difference.
I was there it was amazing

Russel will have a hand full of defending Verstappen in that first sector.
2024 is much more exciting than anticipated
Max was going for .150 - .200 faster lap but turn 7 understeer was costly, such is f1 racing.
It has to be said, Verstappen has the superior control under braking
Remember for all the guys that were kids or not yet born that in 1997 three (yes exactly 3) Pilot got the same time 1.21.097 something like 1 out of some Milions probability to guess
Crazyyyy
hey, where's the car that gave Russell the tow since that was the tipping point for Russell's pole
Funny cos george and Hamilton did faster in Q2, 1:11:xxx
Im curious to see Hamiltons best lap against Russels too, since he admitted he looked into the data to see what was Hamilton doing to be faster than him in FP3
Weston would have been the time if not for the staring turns
You must don’t let the fact away, Russel made his best lap at the start of Q3 with a used soft, but Max set his lap in the end and on the new tyre
can you add pia into it aswell as he wasn't that far away either
Looks more like orders for sharing the honours across the entire grid!
What is up with the red bull? How is the acceleration an issue all of a sudden?!

Remember vettels dominance? It has to stop somewhere! Newey leaving slacking on upgrades the rest of the pack will catch up. massive regulation changes in the next few seasons goodbye to red bulls dominance.. max will win the championship this year but that will be it for a few seasons at least
Was expecting to see Lando in the mix as well
