Without Mirkle, the Queen would not have been BOMBARDED with phone calls from the Mirkles asking for money, favours, titles, etc, digging for information they could later release, and the Queen would have had more time with her family and died peacefully with her loved ones around her. Instead, Catherine could not even go to Balmoral to say ‘Goodbye’ to her mentor and grandmother, because the Queen would not have Mirkle around her as she died. The Queen did a good job in not showing the world that she disliked Mirkle, but it became obvious, by her actions and the things she said to those around her, that she detested her and kept her at a distance.
