How Did Jan Błachowicz get SO GOOD?
Jan Błachowicz is showing everyone what Polish power is all about. The former KSW light heavyweight champion went 17-3 in his home country of Poland. This also included 3 tournament wins. So once he signed to the UFC, there was great expectation for him to become a top contender right away. But after going 2-4 with the promotion, he found himself on the brink of being cut. Then out of no where, he went on an 8-1 run and in the process, became the UFC light heavyweight champion. And as I make this video, he is now set to defend his belt in a super fight against current middleweight champ, Israel Adesanya. His career took a complete 180 for the better. So my question is, how did Jan Błachowicz get so good?

Nah they are not sleeping on them. But its really hard for markets like in USA to promote people like Stipe or Jan. Well Stipe bit easier cause he is American so you know. So cool American Firefighter that is also MMA champion cool story but he is not money maker. Both Jan and Stipe needs opponents that will create the hype for them mostly. Jan is really hard to market. He is just really chill dude from Poland that fights professionally and doesnt make big fuss about it. I think UFC knew that from the beggining like they staright away matched him up with Famous killers. People want McGregors, O'Malley's and other Personalities that shine through sport. All they need is what Khabib got, just get a Connor McGregor to make you the most famous fighter on the planet. As Connor said one day, "bring out the red panties, Connor made us rich".... its sad, funny and actually true :D

I know Jan personally. The biggest factor in his switch was moving back to his original coach and team. It’s easy one of the most overlooked apsects of a fighters career. That was the thing that started the big change. The fights are just the outcome of that. There was a big mental switch aswell at some point.

@@courchar most definitely. His very impressive win over Reyes put him in the spotlight. He’s got the belt. But I hear you...he’s not a superstar and beating Izzy could put him there. I don’t want to give my hopes up because Jan looks to have the arm reach and power to connect with Izzy BUT Izzy is strictly a counter puncher and the only real offense I see from his are leg kicks. It’ll either be super boring or Jan will get countered by trying to make the fight interesting at his expense. As much as I want to see Jan take his head off I don’t see Izzy giving him much because he knows Jan has dynamite in his hands. Now Thiago Santos has the style to give Izzy a hard time. His striking is brutal, fast, and powerful. Plus Santos is great with the kick game. He fight an extremely close fight against Jones when completely tearing his knee early in the 2nd. Izzy talks so much shit that’s below the belt like saying he’d whip that “rat lip” Khamsat....which is fucked up. Izzy could be like Anderson Silva due to his skills BUT he’s a prick and I watch him only because I want to watch him lose. I picked Jan over Reyes so fingers crossed....take Izzys head of...or give him a “rat lip” like what happened to Overeem!!
