The real issue for anyone to be mad, which these guys don't mention, is that Miami isn't the only team paying for Messi. ALL MLS teams contributed real cash to get Messi to MLS. And now he doesn't turn up to away games for teams that are currently paying him to play for Miami.

@ Mike Johnson, I agree with everything you said about Tavares and Bedard. Tavares has shown nothing but heart and playing a smart, full game. He's capable of doing this in the NHL playoffs. He wouldn't be the only Leaf who underachieved (with salary considered) in the playoffs. Bedard is feeling the pressure and has taken some silly, immature penalties at the wrong times, but he'll adjust well.

I don't blame the Oilers for complaining about that sign. It's pretty tasteless to bring up someone's addiction like that. Imagine if the sign had been about someone with drug or alcohol addiction? Especially if the player was less hated throughout the league. It would be a completely different conversation here so it's pretty ridiculous that anyone would shit on the Oilers for it.

I am very disappointed with Messi and MLS. Bought tickets for myself and my 8 yo son who is huge fan , and his biggest wish is to see Messi. Paid 2 tickets $700. How to tell him now he is not coming , and break his heart.

He wasn't put on the ice for 3v3 overtime and scored the ONLY shootout goal for Canada.. Coach should be back behind the single A bench soon.

He has 9 points in 8 games, making him the 22nd best point producer in the tournament. 8 of these points came against opponents such as Austria, Denmark, Great Britain and Norway, the weaker nations that were already eliminated in the preliminary round. Since then he has only played on the power play and has 1 point. For the best offensive player in the tournament, that's pretty modest, I'd say. team canada plays with 3 no. 1 draft picks in this "dogshit" tournament and probably go home without a medal, what does that say about the strength of the NHL? So cry me a river and watch the NHL playoffs, which has an atmosphere like a bingo evening in a seniors' home. if you want to see real passion, you know where to find it.

He’s the reason Canada went to overtime and after the minute of powerplay time in overtime he didn’t get a single shift the blame is on the coach for mis using him and sure yeah he had a few turnovers so did half of the roster he’s the best player in the tournament and u barley played him but thank god pld was on the first line huh

And did you see his talent when he shot 5 meters over the goal against Sweden, 1 cm in front of the goal. clearly the best player of the tournament. @@ND_22_6_SOCCER Bedard more than likely said something in the locker room about how the team wasn't playing hard enough when they almost lost to Austria.. Seeing that all the 40 year old men on the team just got bounced in the first round of the playoffs, they probably didn't want to hear it. It's a summer vacation for those guys.. So the coach decided to give Connor 10 mins a game and drop him down the lineup. Any normal coach would realize he's the best player on the team and it isnt close. Different story for the olympics, when everyone plays.. But for this junior scrub tourney, he should be getting maximum minutes every game. No excuse.
