He is the king of table time by far!

Guys - it always comes back to basics. Training - sleep - nutrition - (gear). He doesn’t “work” a full time job so gets all the rest/sleep needed. As much training as he wants. We know he has plenty of table time. He’s perfected his training over the years for arm wrestling specific. His nutrition is on point - judging by the fact he’s eating in every podcast video 😂 His gear usage will have become more refined with his experience of the last few years. Put yourself in that position where you don’t work, 9/10 hours sleep plus naps, enough good quality calories, train in an afternoon after your second quality meal, back home have a nap. No worries about money. ANYONE who does this will see improvements in their physique even without gear. Add the gear in and you get the picture.

He doesn't underestimate Genadi, he has sights beyond him but he's using Genadi as a true test to the transformation he's undergoing. If he wins the match it means that he's progressing at a satisfying rate, but he probably knows there's a possibility he doesn't make it.

He's a full time arm wrestler now. Ever since he got outta the military a few years ago, he is able to do this full time now, devon has said this multiple times.

Part of it is the gear ... and of course genetics, gives me hope that I can still be big, strong in 40s

When he dropped weight, he got his insulin sensitivity back. That combined with ped’s and his past gains (that are showing now) makes this transformation so drastic. Allso water retention, glucose and pump makes him seem so Big. Thats pretty much it. I guess he will be around 285lbs the day of the match.

@@Manologft As his body mass reduces, his Insulin sensitivity will become higher, which in turn allows the body to utilize much more carbohydrate in an anabolic manner more efficiently. The leaner you are, the more this happens. The higher BMI generally, the lower. Which in turn, reduces carbohydrate use efficiency, making you gain weight as fat, in a snowball like effect. Hope this helps.

Very often you will actually see athletes using PED's in a large amount, will eventually begin to use Insulin as well to attempt to combat the rapid increase in BMI, reducing the body's ability to perform this. This bodily function has a very large impact of muscle growth and use, if you observe diabetics that are w/o control of the disease, you will not find a single one with much muscle mass vs fat mass.

@@jacobgreenhalgh4257 It's not just for fat burning. You can gain muscle mass with insulin. Insulin regulates protein synthesis. Taking extra insulin you can keep your body in state of hypoglycemia, building muscle very efficiently from food. However, this is dangerous and you would feel week and bad constantly and you could die from a single mistaken dose of insulin.

@@Manologft Yeah its like Jacob stated in his first response. Insulin is actually the most anabolic hormone in our bodies. If you keep eating carbs all day every day and keep bloodsugar/ insulin levels high all the time, your body becomes resistant to it and you can get diabetes. So if you want to build muscle, its good idea to TaKe days off from carbs. But if you take shitloads of ped`s, like these guys do, you can use much higer quantities of carbs in muscle building. So dont copy Devons pancake diet, you will destroy your insulin sensitivity and end up diabetic :D

This wasn’t in Vermont it was my teams camp in upstate New York…. However Vermont Team came over deep for the chance to pull with Devon. Bill Sinks boys. Devon comes over a couple times a year usually but the guys said it’s like Devon’s hand grew in thickness X2. Said trying to get a grip around his thumb is like grabbing a softball it’s crazy how Devon can morph

All of this, even this now, is a result of sick preparations for Levan. He actually didnt gain at the moment of the match everything he did from those preparations. The gains actualy fully adjusted after the match. Everything, the killing of Prudnik, everyzhing is all about those months when he tried to climb the Levan mountain. I think it would be VERY interesting to see that match right now.

I've seen some videos about pancakes from different corners of the youtube training world and the suggestion is that he figured out the right pancakes to take. He historically was very committed to one type of pancakes that wouldn't be optimal for armwrestling (more of a physique based pancake).

I think it will be difficult for Devon to beat Denis. Denis atm is just growing and growing, no signs of stopping, did you see what he did to Dadikyan in the recent pulls? He literally stopped his hits and bled him without a sweat. Devon would have to pull an insane trick out the bag to pull Denis to the pad, it would take either 1. Sheer strength 2. Extra stamina + endurance or 3. Injury of some sort otherwise I don't see Devon beating Denis.
