How Dangerous the Joker really is in the Arkham Knight

Ойындар

Arkham Knight's joker story was always amazing but i believe its a take on the character and joker's battle with batman that has only gotten much better over time. Arkham Knight's take on the joker and its story as a whole doesn't get ENOUGH credit.

No doubt about it, all 3 games were full of subtle references to the comics. They were passion projects by very talented developers, it was a major loss for Rocksteady to have lost them due to that garbage Suicide Squad game.

I know these videos don't do as well as your rdr content, but PLEASE make more. I was very happy when I saw you posted this, and I finally got around to beating the game so I can watch this lol. I picked this game up after "that game" came out. There will never be another batman game like Arkham Knight. There will also never be a better batman VA. We lost a legend. R.I.P Kevin Conroy.

Dont worry i love these games. I have a video dedicated to Scarcrow in the works and a big breakdown on Batman across all the games. Its a different angle. Basically its about the games slowly over time showing Batman isnt the answer to Gotham’s problems. And slowly all his struggles to protect everyone is actually killing him.

Arkham knight utilizes Joker the best. Making him strictly a psychological threat.

Heath and Hamill for me ate the definitive Jokers. The Dark Knight has the best portrayal of the character when it comes to the big screen. Its also crazy to think Hamill only did so well in his original Joker audition because he thought hed never even be considered for the role. Here we are so many years later and he has given the most iconic voice to him

You hit the nail on the head. Only thing I’d differ with you on is that I think that his fear wasn’t turning into Joe Chill, it was becoming Joker specifically. I agree that he feels as helpless as he did when his parents died but Joe Chill was just a guy, Batman is truly afraid of Joker tho. The guy never felt guilt while committing the most heinous of crimes and if that consciousness is combined with Batman’s skills, it could lead to falteringly catastrophic events across the globe

Arkhamverse Joker is perfect . His storyline and overall inclusion in Arkham Knight however was not. The whole “Turning people into Joker” plot line was always stupid and bro was essentially the main villain again(stealing a lot of screen time from Scarecrow and Jason)

There's a common theme through these games of Batman being subjected to various mental attacks that culminate with the finale to Arkham Knight. If a biological infection couldn't drive Batman to kill, nothing ever would. Really highlights what an absolute betrayal Suicide Squad is. The Arkham Batman should've been the one to throw off Brainiac's control through sheer willpower. That game will never be canon to me and Rocksteady will never have another dollar from me unless they revise things. Until then, to me, the series ended with Knight: a far, far better tribute to Kevin Conroy than we got this year; and a far, far better send-off than we'll ever know.

I am writing an Evaluation in my English course where we pick something you feel strongly about, and I picked Red Dead Redemption II. I am looking for suggestions of 3-4 main aspects of the game that make it great, what counter arguments people will have against the game and rebuttals to counter the counterarguments, and games/movies that I can compare Red Dead Redemption II to. I am looking for suggestions on all of these aspects of the paper and figured this would be the perfect community to ask.

The Honor system, and Arthur being a character that has core traits that the writers wanted to remain there, but still allows the player to choose at certain points what to do whether it's in gameplay, or decisions in story moments, and these decisions affect whether his Honor level increases or decreases - it's not just a great game mechanic. But it's also symbolically a great way to represent the good and bad that exists in all of us, that makes us human. That we all can make choices that either cause positive or negative events, and even make people think of us differently depending. And this is one of the many things that help create a connection between the player and the character, which is something that Red Dead Redemption II really excels at, among other things.

Narratively the definition of loyalty and how much a person can do to truly be “redeemed” can be an aspect. Even after his sickness Arthur is at war with his definition of “loyalty”. Who he is loyal to and if he should still stick with Dutch. Guarma is also a good chapter to dedicate some time to as it puts into perspective whether if Dutch is mentally declining or if he has always been this person, willing to strangle an old woman with his bare hands. If he has always been this person and capable of this brutality then it puts Arthur’s whole life and outlook on it in a new light. Guarma itself has always been criticized for being “out of place” or throwing the story off. But really its vital for the progression of his sickness and how he perceives Dutch.
